Call went to voice mail.  Claims to be Kaiser Permanente wanting to verify information.  Although I am a member, I can't tell if this is real, or if someone is phishing for info, so I am not returning the call.

Survey
It is auto dialer for KAISER PERMANENTE members.  I called the number.  I am a member. They are requesting "survey" info they used to do by mail.  I spoke with a 'Patti' (rep),polite and answered all my questions; she had to verify my membership number to know what my call pertained to.  After just a couple of "verifying" questions, she told me of the survey and that they now do it by auto dialer and phone, but if I want I can still do it by "paper" which is what I elected to have; at least this way I would/will see the info/questions in print.  I don't believe this is a scam, as she did give me her extension # and direct dialing # also.  If my memory serves me, I do recall a 'survey' some years ago from Kaiser.  I'll see if I get the "survey" in the mail.

Received call on May 7, 2008, ID of "Unknown Name."  Did not answer but caller left VM.  Caller claimed to be my insurance company, wanting to verify certain information.  Sounded like a computer-generated voice requesting a call-back to 866-366-3404 and included a particular seven-digit priority code.  Am having my insurance company verify whether caller is legitimate.  First red flag was no caller ID.  Second red flag was the type of information being requested.  Third red flag was computer-generated voice.

My caller ID showed the caller as "UNKNOWN NAME" --- and I chose not to answer the call. The landline number I have is listed in my name with no street address. But this landline phone company --- AT&T routinely sells ALL phone listings to YAHOO. And YAHOO, in turn, sells that data--- despite my verbal and written request to them not to release my personal phone number and listing to marketing sources --- to everybody including phone solicitors like the Crossfire Marketing Group 877-887-8111 in Arizona with a satellite office in Las Vegas. Crossfire does solicitation for the newspapers seeking new subscribers.
