Since you live in Texas, They are also in violation of Texas financial code which requires third party debt collectors to have a $10,000.00 Surety Bond in order to legally collect. Law Office of Anthony H Rodriques DOES exist at that address.  The building has alot of "Executive Suites" in it which is just a fancy way of saying They have a desk with a receptionist there.

Rodriques is licensed to practice law In Stateof PA AS of May 2010.  Not a member of Erie Bar Asociation-probably because he doesn't want to be generally known.  He violated at least 5 FDCPA Laws when contacting me,  But his downfall was violating a section Of the Texas Finance Code.  If you are in TX hire a TX FDCPA attorney an go after him.  Going to court out of state & bearing tat expense is the LAST thing this pipsqueak wants to happen

I suggest that all of us ALL OF US who have been contacted by this scam artist file a complaint with the Disciplinary Board of Pennsylvania. He's lying, intimidating and violating a lot of laws first by even stating that there is a summons and that they are going to deliver it to you. They cannot do that it is AGAINST THE LAW for them to do that.

I told them "AFTER I SPOKE TO MY ATTORNEY, I ORDER YOU TO CEASE AND DESIST AND WILL DEAL WITH THE CREDITOR DIRECTLY" they guy had the nerve to tell me "well the creditor doesn't know what we're doing so good luck with that"

The two addresses they gave me, one from Buffalo, NY: 1800 Elmwood Ave., Buffalo, NY 14207 and the one in Erie, PA: 1001 State St. Ste 1400, Erie, PA 16501 do not belong to them. The first one is for a family owned warehouse, the second one belongs to an attorney that has nothing to do with them.

I got a call today from a Paul Allen saying he has legal documents under my name and social.  He gave me a case number 165131 for a subpoena. He leaves me a new number (877-337-9226) to call to resolve this voluntarily.  He says that if I don't resolve this by myself, he will be serving me at my place of residence or at my place of employment.  (good luck finding either one)  He ends the call by informing me that I have been notified.  This would be the first time for me to have a document server tell me that I was going to be served.  I have been served before and never warned before they showed up.
When I called the number, I got a recording for the Law Office of Anthony H. Rodrigues.  That's how I found this.  I wanted to let everyone know that these guys have a new number and name that they are using.  I am looking forward to meeting this a-hole on Thursday!
By the way, I did have a Payday loan from a few years ago that I paid off in cash.  They told me that it was going to collections, but that I could pay it and be done with it.  This is not the first time I have received calls about this debt.  They seem to just sell it to another collection agency when I send them a cease and desist.

I been getting a call from Mr. Petersen at my work and he says that he is bringing legal documents and that he needs to set a day and time with me to deliver the documents, but if I don't respond to the call he will be dropping the documents on Friday at my work, he also gives me a case number, the call back number he leaves on the message is 877-350-2082 and yesterday that I called said the machine that the office was closed (Law Office of Anthony H. Rodrigues),  I know I took a payday loan 2 years ago, they could be legimate, but I never received any request on the mail or anything.

The address is also listed on their website...I called Moody law offices and a very annoyed man confirmed that no, Anthony Rodriques is NOT at that address (and they are really sick of the calls, I guess). I also sent them an email with the link to the website claiming that was their address, so hopefully it will be enough for the REAL law firm to go after these losers.

I just did the same thing. I got a TX Attorney who has sued him more than once.  I gave all the voicemails and docs to the attorney.  No upfront fees and all attorneys fees, extra come out of settlement.

I received a phone call from 877-255-2156 stating they had some legal document to serve me with because I had to go to court the following Tuesday. The man said he didn't have informaiton on the case but gave me another phone number to call 877-328-8406 and a case # to find out more information. So I called and its was the Law Office for a Anthony H. Rodriques and they claimed I had taken out a pay day loan and never paid it back and they want me to settle over the phone with a credit card. I had a bad feeling so I said I would call them back and did some investigation and found I was not the only that had gotten a phone call from this company and this law firm DOES NOT exsist and I called them back and told them to serve me with the court papers and I will take it up with the judge. I also immedialty notified my bank beucase I am not sure what other information they had on me. I also filed a police report. DON'T GIVE YOUR INFORMATION!!! IT'S A SCAM!!!! BTW in most cases the last name Rodriguez is spelled with a "G" AND "Z" not "q and s".

call your attorney...or get one because they have broken both federal and state law...even if they are an attorney they can not threaten you or state you are going to jail or did a crime...get a lawyer asap

Hit them where it really hurts-their wallet.  Not enough texans know about Texas Finacial Code 392.101 which requires a Debt collector operating in Texas to have a $10,000.00 surety bond on File with the Texas Secretary of State. These bottom feeders don't.  I Hired a FDCPA attorney (no money upfront, fee was out of settlement) in Texas and go after these bozos. My amount was for 3 times what I owed, The debt paid by Mr. Rodriques's firm, and all record of the debt removed from credit report

I received a call on Jan 25, 2011 from Law firm of Anthony H Rodriguez 877-255-2162.  He said they are about to take me to court and sue me for check fraud. He said that I defaulted on 5 payday loans and in order to stop the law suit against me, that I have to pay them $3000. He said I can set up a payment plan by paying $500 dollars first.  And $300 monthly. He said if I don't come up with the money today that, the next day I will be served court papers to appear in court. After speaking to them, I googled their phone number 877-255-2162 and many people had the same story about these people. So I called them back and I asked them to give me the address of their business location and he gave me 1001 State stree, suite 1400, Erie Pa. I googled this address and found out that this address belongs to Moody Law Offices 814-464-9464. I called Moody Law Office and asked them were they affiliated with Law firm of Anthony H Rodriguez and they said that they never heard of them and they were not affiliated with them. I called Anthony H Rodriguez back and confronted them about this, and he started cursing and they hung up on me. I'm so glad I didn't give them any money.

Got a call from this "attorney" and a message was left on my parents answering machine. It was a creepy computer-lady voice that pronounced my mom's last name horribly (apparently her name has "gaga" in it) and said that it was in regards to case #(case number here) and to call back. I googled the phone number (1-877-255-2158) and came up here. From the looks of it this is a sure-fire scam. 1) My parents do not have any loans and 2).....WE LIVE IN CALIFORNIA. And from the comments, this place is in Pennsylvania.

I just got a phone call from a guy saying that he had a message for a friend I went to school with. He thought it was her number. Said it was about a lawsuit filled against her, but that 2 other people were also named, my name, and some guy I don't know. Said he wants to confirm her info to serve her with papers. What?!? Looked it up online. looks like a scam. number he left was 877-299-5517.

I received a call from these jerks 3 days in a row telling me the same thing that I took out a loan 2 years ago and owe. They told me to go get a pre-paid debit card and call it back in, and that I only had 3 months to get 800 paid to them. I do recall getting a loan years ago and thought I paid it back from cash jar but it was only for 200. Wow they really are scamming people.

I just received a phone call from a gentleman stating he was Cory Daniels from Robert H. Rodriguez Law Firm and my ss# came across his desk.  If I did not return his phone call and resolve this issue he will come out to my house and place a call to my employer to have my wages garnished or face jail time.  I called back to see who he was and the lady that answered said a Cory Daniels did not work for the company.  Less than five mintues off the phone with the lady he contacted my fiance with the same message.  I have know clue who these people are and what they want.  Is there anything anybody can do?

Received a voicemail from the law offices of Anthony H. Rodriguez stating I am in the process of being taken to court and I haved committed fraud by writing checks, the same as everyone else. The only thing I can think of is a payday loan because I didn't write checks for anything else, I always use debit. This is another scam to scare you to pay up as far as I'm concerned. In the state of Texas, if they don't have a license to operate anyway, they are doing illegal business. I will be tracking this number and filing a complaint with the Texas Attorney General.
