NOTE that the calls are recorded! I did not say anything when the call came in and heard the recording beep!

This caller can be dealt with with some VOIP systems. I can't sepak for any but Ooma as it is what I have.
My Ooma is setting on my desk with my desktop.
If I am at my desk when an obnoxious call comes in I just hit the browser and click on a bookmarked link to my Ooma setup then click on call history and the calls are there back for months.
The latest call is at the top.
I then click on Icon for blacklist. Now when the @$$ #0l3s call they just get a message that they have been blocked.
Phone does not ever ring that number again. No voice mail. They are just gone.

My apologies to the group. They are from Discover Personal Loans. When I called back, I discovered it was a legitimate call.

Two calls today - the first was not answered because nobody was home. When I answered the second with my name nothing was said and the call terminated.

We have received 3 calls a day for god knows how long now.  It's actually getting to be a pain in the a**.  Have had the same issue when you answer no one there annoying...

I have been receiving call 4 or 5 time per day from this number. I would like it stop, but don't know how.

Call said pleas hold for important message...then it disconected. I'm guess spam trying to see wh answers, now on my blocked call list.

these people are so dam annoying!  I know who they are......Discover loan. My fault for getting
a little behind in payment, but why do they have to call every two frickin' hours!!!  Whats more annoying is when you answer the phone, either you get a message to hold or dead silence!!  Voice mail is the same way.......can't leave a message.....DEAD SILENCE!!!!!!!
 I kept records of all calls and so called voice mails. Is there a lawyer out there reading these? If so, is this s*** harassment? maybe my lawyer can answer this for me. When I stop this crap, I will not owe these a**holes another dime!!!!!

I have received 10 phone calls from this number within a matter of 4 hours.  I answer it and noone is there!

Just got a new phone and within one hour began receiving calls to this number.  Same crap as everyone else.

This number started calling me the day after Christmas at 8:00am. Several calls a day including one this morning, the day after New Year's, also a Sunday morning, starting at 8:00am. Thought someone had been in an accident or was dead!
Won't leave message. Don't understand what any company or person, legitimate or as a scam can obtain by not ever making contact when they call. Stupid and obnoxious.

Also receiving calls from this number.  It is very annoying, everyday 3-5 times a day & they never leave messages.  Enough is enough!!!!!!!

I just called this number as well and they answered Discover Loans and asked for my account number.  I rudely told him "NO" but would like to know why this number has been calling my house and hanging up every time I pick up the phone.  He gave me some story about it possibly being because picking up the phone too early doesn't allow the automated phone system enough time to find the connection and it in turn hangs up.  I don't buy the bogus BS since it's happened several months and I don't always pick up right away.

I don't answer this call and they never leave a message but when you call every morning a 8 am and then 9 am on a Sunday, that it pretty intrusive.

Got a call at 9am. I don't answer as it says '800 Service' on my caller ID. Machine picks up and it says this is a message for ------ it was garbled, but sounded like May Wen or something like that. Not my name or my husband's name at all. Or any of the other names these 800 numbers like to tell me they're looking for.

I love how they say, 'if you are not ______ please hang up now. by continuing to listen, you acknowledge that you ARE ________.

Hubby and I keep a close eye on our credit reports and bills. None of these calls is ever for us and signing up for the 'do not call' list doesn't stop it. Our number is a business number as hubby used to run his computer business out of our home, but has since moved into an office. can't wait to get rid of the number. maybe calls will stop.

Been getting calls from this number, too. No messages are left and no one seems to be on the line.

Discover Loans.  Other sites are saying that Discover has screwed up payments or payments didn't get debited correctly.  They call my house 2-3x/day looking for my ex.

Sunday morning got this call on 877 256 2660 with a voice that states "please hold for an important message" it repeated that 12 times in one minute. I hung up

The people from this number have got to stop calling!!!!  They start at 8 am and call non-stop until 9 pm.  If they cannot tell you what they want I cannnot talk to them. I cannot stand it.  If a company is calling my number constantly then tell me what you want!!!

constant calls from this no . When u pick up it takes u to some recorded msg . Very irritating.

they are calling my cell phone non stop early am.. late pm.. 7 days a week. i called back and they say "discover financial service".....then you are on hold and then it hangs up

Just got a call from a Rob at my work number on this.

this is the 15th time I have reported this number thru the web. and nothing has been done. Is this site just for bitching! Or is someone working on this issue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They call my house about 9 times a day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they start at 9:15 Mon -Sun. and do not stop until 9:30pm
all I do now is pick up the phone a blow a loud whistle into the phone. I tried not answering and that made nodifference. I'm on every don not call list this is complete Harrassment!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CALLER ID SHOWS 800 SERVICE, THE NUMBER THAT IS CALLING 877-256-2660. THEY have been calling my house for over a year now, they stopped for a while, now its starting again. Only this time they are calling 8-15 times a day at all hours, as early as 8:30 on Sunday and as late at 9:15pm!!! Over 6 mos ago I picked up this extemely rude and perverse black woman was on the other end. Now I keep a loud whistle by the phone and when they call I pick up and blow that whistle loudly!

Discover Loans they called me because i brought to there attention that they credited me an amount that i did not pay. appariently when i paid my statement they also credited me someone elses payment. now they are calling to let me know of the adjustment.

I also got Discover Loans.  They evidently changed computer systems and it messed up the autopayments.  I did point out to them that leaving a message would be a good idea.
