Sending un-solicited faxes is against the law. Why would someone need to "call a number" to get their faxt # removed from further faxes?? Wouldn't that be like a mugger telling you: "If you don't want me to mug you in the future, you'll need to call such & such #"? Huh? It's illegal to mug to begin with, so it's not up to the victim to ask not to be mugged. Same logic for un-solicited faxes: there is no reason someone has to do anything, to be removed. They (just like the mugger) should not be doing it, to begin with.

Fax also referred to www.number-privacy.com. Went there, got a 403 Forbidden error. Hm...

Supposedly calling this number will take our fax number off their mailing list. I'm not holding my breath.

@ Sarah
Send me a picture of your airline tickets, hotel reservations, or even of you on a beautiful beach somewhere with your "all inclusive" drink in your hand to yeahfreakingright@yahoo.com Are people really this stupid to fall for scams like this? 1-No website listed on the faxes even though internet specials are offered 2-Payment accepted by electronic check only 3-Only $199.98 for 8 days and 7 nights in Aruba with Airfare REALLY! This is why our country is failing..........morons ugh!

I get repeated faxes from this number advertising either insurance or cruises. The number 877-259-4296 is the number to call if you want to remove your name from their database. The number to call for the cruise information is 877-440-9561.
I have my fax number registered on the do not call list...but still get the faxes...

Another fax: From 877-478-7321. Junk fax for cheap and likely scammy vacations "All offers expire Friday!!!!!" and so on. Removal website given as number-privacy.com, which by a whois search is of questionable legitimacy (I'm being generous.) possibly just a number harvester. Likewise for the removal number, given as 877-259-4296.

Certainly an unsolicited fax from am illegitimate company. I am glad to find the name the company here, for when I called to gather information for an FCC complaint (of course I did not tell them this was my intention) they hung up, on the second call they refused the question, on the third call they insulted and then threatened me. MAKE SURE TO REPORT THIS COMPANY TO THE FCC at <http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm>!!!!

The guy on the phone said it is VIP = Vacations in Paradice. And that there is a website, but you have to purchase before you can see the website or access it. However, he wouldnt give me the web address.
Then said if I am not comfortable paying with a credit card, I can pay with a check. (makes me feel soooo much better! whew!)
I called him a scam, he argued, I hung up.
End of that.

I called the number on the fax (877-947-2236) & tried to find out who they are - supposedly company name is VIP. Guy said they don't do the faxing, it's an independent marketing company. I just wish we could stop the junk faxes. It's unsolicited SPAM.
It's an invasion of our business and a waste of our time and materials

Junk fax with no company name ("Trips & Tours" maybe?) or website listed, only to call 866-261-8989. Advertising cheap vacations, as well as an "Internet special" (still no internet information listed, a sure sign you're dealing with true genius). Removal number 877-259-4296.

It's a known scam. Their junk faxes are illegal. The website doesn't exist.

Hi Alfred,
I called the call back phone number, and it works. The representative was able to give me information on the deal. But of course I did not buy the deal because I didn't purchase the deal because I needed to think about it. Can you tell me how they have scammed you?
| Alfred 2010-10-18 17:45:07 Fax Machine |
This is a travel scam fax deletion number; scam website address "fantasygetaways.net" does not exist; on the same junk fax as call back no 866-261-8989.
