didn't have caller ID, but Karen King at IPX (for some sort of Compliance Division), called our office saying she was an intern and wanted to send me a catalogue for cleaning supplies and gift me a Duncan Donut certificate if I verified info with her manager. I hung up because I googled the company with no luck.

Just got this call. Normally it's the losers from Werner Electric. Same thing...IPX Sports promotions. The number they left is 855-379-2453.

Just got the same call, but it was Jesse Winter and the phone number was 866-924-8853..same M.O. run as fast as you can! I also warned my co-workers about calls like this becuase when the originally called, they got my "young - inexperienced" receptionist, Jesse Winter was very friendly to her, joking with her and in a friendly conversation said , "Darn it, I forgot the name of your shipping gal...." So my receptionist gladly "reminded" her of the shipping gals name....and forwarded the call to her!!! Urghhh - this makes me so angry that there are actually people LOW enough out there to hold a job like this!! Please be aware, and spread the word!!

Resceived a call today from IPX Export and identified themselves as Jessie. When I called the number back (my boss is an avid sportsman) I realized it was a scam when asked for pertinent information I told them no and to put us on their do not call list. I was promptly hung up on.

Same as all above. Googled before calling back. If they call again and I have time, maybe I'll lead them on and waste their time some.

Received a call (twice) this morning from a Jessie Winters who was calling on behalf of IPX Sports Promotion. She needed me to call her back so they could release my overnight package.
Sounds fishy! Definitely didn't call back.
Caller ID was (619) 714-2857. The number I was to call was 866-924-8853

I just received a VM from Marcy Perkins with IPX Sports Promotion concerning a priority package. I guess they never give up in hope of finding some unfortunate person who doesn't check 1st.

There are back...just received a call this morning on my office phone. Deleted the voice mail before I googled the company.

We get these calls frequently going to our warehouse or to me directly. Today, shortly after my warehouse supervisor called to tell me someone wanted to conduct a survey on frequency of supplies we use, I received a voicemail from Marcy Perkins from the IPX Sports Promotion department who told me to call her at 877-260-6922 about my priority overnight package so they could release my delivery. In the recent past, I had one harrassing caller (I could recognize his voice) that angered me so badly by the frequency of his calls that I yelled at him and hung up. Haven't heard from him since-guess that's why "Marcy" called. I long ago instructed our warehouse to say they are not authorized to order anything or receive free gifts. If I am unlucky enough to get one of these calls live, I tell them I accept catalogs with pricing I can review later. That usually shuts them down (as they have no catalog to send only a special deal for specific products due to overstock, etc). Occasionally you have a go-getter that tries to get you to accept some sort of product and of course a free gift. That's when I hang up.

These guys called me as well and left a voicemail. It was Debbie Gibson... I wondered what happened to her after her singing career fizzled out. Now I know. Thanks to this site, her voicemail was promptly deleted, but I did download "Shake Your Love" from iTunes.

Recv'd call from Whitney Blair (866-907-7143) of IPX Sports Promotion Dept. saying there was an overnight priority package that needed to be released. I did not return the call.

Recv'd call from Whitney Blair (866-907-7143) of IPX Sports Promotion Dept. for the shop maintenance supplies contact at my office-yeah, right. Stated there was an overnight priority package to be delivered. Will not return call - these are all too familiar.
| Nichols 2010-01-08 19:20:16 Unknown |
Same situation as above except the call back number was 866-907-7142. Someone who gave her name as Amy Gray offered a Bengals shirt (conveniently switched to a Browns shirt when she found out I was a Browns fan...yeah, I admit it!!!). Chatted a bit more and she tried to sell me degreaser and ice melt. Slipped in that she would be sending the ice melt and hold off paperwork until April. I'm embarassed to admit that it took me that long to figure out her game...asked her to repeat that and quickly said no no no and hung up on her. Haven't had a call like this in a great while! Hope I don't get one ever again!!!

Received a call from a Julie Adams stating she would like a call back regarding a priority shipment. However, when i heard the message it sounded like she said IT Exports, but could have very well have said IPX Sports. She was slightly muffled when she stated the company name, but was very clear on the call back request and the phone #. I wasn't expecting any deliveries and i was very suspecious of the phone call. I am glad I found this website to confirm it was a scam attempt.

I handel all the shipping for our company so this call from "Debbie Gibson" was directed to my v-mail as I was out of the office. This Debbie chick is one busy lady! I'm glad I checked it out before calling back...
