They keep calling and calling.  I'm on the Do Not Call registry, and keep reporting "telemarketing calls".  The Do Not Call registry doesn't seem to take care of my MANY unwanted calls.

They've called here three times and seem to hang up if I answer the phone.  They have only spoken with my husband.  What we had for dinner or what we did before we drove the highways has nothing to do with travel or road usage.  They said they were doing a CalTrans survey on travel habits.  They didn't offer any incentive or try to sell anything.  The caller did give us this phone number.  We are on the DNC, so I am going to report them.
They asked some very odd questions, one specifically mentioning the city where my daughter recently worked - and that city is over 400 miles from here.
I think hubby gave out too much info, he thinks I worry too much.  Who knows what this is about.  Odd.

I got a call from this number and participated in the survey.  If you listen really closely, the survey is actually AUTOMATED!  That is one heck of a good voice -- and it even responds to out-of-the-ordinary questions!  Notice the voice never studders or says Uhhhhh.  You can ask, What? and it will repeat the question.  If you say you don't understand, it will give you a definition or ask the question a different way.  Someone put GREAT EFFORT into programming this survey machine and voice.  If you are able to read this while listening to the survey, have some fun with it!  It will BE VERY PATIENT with even the most ridiculus requests.  Enjoy!

So it's legitimately CalTrans.  Do you actually think it's government workers calling you or outsourced workers?  And now a stranger has YOUR personal information.

"States are increasingly utilizing prison labor"; "Private companies contract with prisons to hire prisoners."  You do NOT know WHO you are taking to!

At the risk of being called a "jerk" I don't want ANY unsolicited phone calls.  These people call during the dinner hour and do not honor my request to be removed from their calling list.  I don't care if it's really CalTrans or not.  I don't care if "they're just doing their jobs".  They're an unwelcome nuisance at my house.

Claimed to be from Caltrans.  Survey seemed legit asking about # of vehicles, bikes, etc.  Then it started to get into things that seemed to have nothing to do with travel.

So I hung up and blocked the #.

They have called several times all times of day, my phone rings once and they hang up.

Someone calls frequently from the phone number 877-261-4621.  They call several times a day and or several days in a row.  Then they hang up.  Please stop this number.  They leave no message.  Thank You

Make them stop calling. They claim they are exempt from the DO NOT CALL lists, rules, restrictions, etc. She would not take my name off their list unless I answered questions. Duh. That's the whole point...I DON'T WANT TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS.

This company is not a telemarketing service. They are contracted by CalTrans to conduct a travel study on their behalf. All you have to do is tell them to take you off of their list, and the calls will be stopped. This is a legit survey, contract and all. They are only reading off of the script provided and approved by Caltrans.

You are a very ignorant and ruthless person. This company is doing it job of better understanding your community's transportation to understand where and what kind of improvements need to happen. Oh, and lazy. It only took me 14mins to complete, that's most probably the time it took you to Google their contact info and to write a message to conplain. People like you make me sick.

Today was the day I had expected a call from this company to give them the info they asked for; which was my family's travel info. Sure enough they did call and spoke to a man named Adam who had a great deal of patience. So I gave him all trip we made for that day. After going this far, I think i can speak for everyone skeptical about participating, that the company expertise IS in travel survey and is contracted with CalTrans to carry out the actually survey. These guys are simply doing their job and at the end of the day it's all for the benifet of my community. On top of it all, the included incentive allowed my to fill up both me and my wife's car.

So don't be a jerk and understand it's all done for your own transportation.

Scammers! Calling at 8:30 p.m. on a Sunday night working for the Transportation Dept? LOL Yeah, right. For those of you that think it's not a scam call, go ahead and take the survey. I have property in Florida I can sell you too.

Panasonic & Uniden make excellent call blocking phones and they both come with an extra wireless handset.

The thing is it may be harmless, but you don't know anything about the person who's calling and asking the questions. Just like you don't know anything about the waiter who takes your credit card you give him/her to pay your bill. If they are dishonest, they can use the information to steal your ID. Best not to answer.

A correction to my last note: It was not Verizon. It reads Unavailable.

This robo-caller calls our phone repeatedly every day. I am fed up with these types of calls.

I just actually called the number back, trying to get these butt heads to stop calling me.  Someone actually answered the phone, shock I know.  Spoke with Michael, seemed polite enough, told him they had been calling me from this number constantly and to please remove my number.  Confirmed the number I was calling from and then told me it would be added to their do not call lists.  Thanks and hung up.  Simple as that.  Figured once you tell them physically not to call or request it through an automated system at least once, and they keep calling it's harassment and can be reported to the FTC and FCC and the do not call registry site.  I have been keeping a log of all unsolicited calls, even those with an unknown name/number, and then I know how many times the same number calls.  Mark each one I've requested a DNC list addition, and they call back more than 24 hours from that point I report them.

DO NOT CALL means DO NOT CALL.
I do not care what they do or which company hired them.

Call, fax and leave endless messages make them realize what an inconvenience it is to receive unwanted calls
The only way to end all marketing calls is by making them inefficient.
don't buy anything from them keep them on the line for as long as you can when they call you.
Ask questions about their company, where are they located GET their telephone number and then publish it and  ask all your social media contacts to call them and leave messages on their answering systems
