What benefit does this company gain from calling and hanging up when people answer?  Anybody?

The benefit of a company calling and hanging up when you answer is they log you as a valid number with a potential sale. They then generate leads for themselves or other companies to purchase, call you, and potentially sell you service. If you're not on your state or federal DNC (Do Not Call) list and don't want these calls, submit your number. Most of these companies are legitimate and follow laws and regulations. The fee for violating a DNC phone number and calling you is somewhere around $11,000 PER CALL.

I've never experienced a call from this phone number, so I just wanted to offer some advice to everyone.

Repeatedly calls about once everyother night. No one says anything. I call the number back and it says please leave a message for operator 206

Said it was calling to tell me about savings with Verizon and asked me to call back to get started on the savings. Called me a different name than I have with Verizon accounts.  Called on my cell phone which is not Verizon.

These calls are quite irritating.

I did some digging around and was able to come up with a cell phone number for the head of their customer service call center.

Everyone should call him a few times and hang up ON HIM on his cell. Maybe then he'll get the message. We are on the do not call list and have asked them several times nicely not to call us but they keep calling and hanging up.

Called everyday for the last 7 business days at around 11am my time.

I finally answered today.  Hangup.

Calls & hangs up, when you call 877-262-3912 you get a Qwest representative.

They call and hang up.  When you call the number you immediately get a voicemail recording "thank you for calling customer service please leave you name & number............"  Don't know what company.

Just got a call from this number. They called almost daily, usually hanging up when answered. Today when I answered, it was a female with an attitude wanting to speak with someone in charge of the phone system. She was claiming that we were trying to use there Quest systems or something along those lines (it made no sense to me). When I told her I thought she had the wrong number, she said in a very street-wise swagger, "Oh no I don't, is this a business?". When I responded, "no", she said "ok, thanks" and hung up.

A Qwest "business partner" - wanting us to switch back to Qwest because we're using a 3rd party that buys time from Qwest.  Just like these guys!  They're not Qwest, they're a 3rd party.

Calls twice a day offering free satalite system. When ask to be removed from list they hang up.

Talked to someone asking to talk to the person who deals with the phone system. It sounded like she wanted to sell me new service.
