There was a forum with a lawyer on tv a couple of weeks ago & he advised that anytime one of the collection agencies fax your employer, they have breached!!! the contract.  Check this out

Somebody called my stating that they were trying to file some kind of claim against my husband and needed a signature to do so. They said they had no idea what company this phone number belonged to, as the envelope they had was sealed. He said he was a private courier, and would not give me the name of the company.

Someone called talking about a claim against me, a civil matter? They called on a number not registered to me and it's fairly new. They said it was my last notification to settle out of court and that I had been legally notified? They can't legally notfiy someone over a voicemail

I received a call she gave her name as S? Woods and a document number and  that this was my last warning to contact them referring to this number. There is a legal case against me and for me or my lawyer to contact them before it goes to court. She said the company is IAG. There should be some way to stop this harassment. Even though you know it isn't true it still worries you.

I have recieved this message from  Veracruz? male. He left a voicemail stating that I need to contact them regarding a civil cause. Im worried because he mentioned the county I live in and also had my little sister's number. I would really like to know who these people are and why they are harrassing me! If anyone has any answers, please feel me in.

I got a call from this number....they said that I had a case against me with a case number and county courthouse name and everything. Let me tell you all something DO NOT give these people ANY info...They want you to verify your social security number so that they can record it and somehow with this info they can try to hack into your bank accounts...let me tell you when they called me they called the wrong person because I told them off and did research and so now I have made it a point to harrass them and guess what...they don't call me anymore and believe me they were calling me ALL DAY long prior to me actually speaking to them...Don't let these scumbags scare you if they wanted to do something they would have already that's why they want to talk to you so that they can get you to say something to incriminate yourself.....you need to make complaints with the local police, FBI, Secret Service, Dept. of Consumer Affairs, etc.

i got a call from this number at work.  the man stated that he had some papers for me and that I would need to sign for and that i would need identification.  I asked him what it was regarding.  He gave me the 877 263 5229 phone number and a reference number.  He said that he would see me in about an hour but our office closes in less than that.  He didnt even ask the hours of operation or anything.  Sounds like a scam to me to solicit people to call their number for them to get more information on you.

ITS A SCAM... BEWARE

THE SAME COMPANY CONTACTED ME AND I WAS PAYING MONEY BACK... FOUND OUT ITS A FRAUD... WAS CALLING FROM SAME NUMBER... THANK YOU FOR THE INFO

This number called me and the man left his name saying Brian Mitchell and that he was an attorney trying to collect a debt for a payday loan. After talking to my mom she said they would have never had an attorney call me. It would always be a collection agency to call, and that they dont have the right to make you pay them. I now have to go and close my bank account. Is there any other research on this phone number or this man claiming to be Brian Mitchel, because if so I really would like to know if I was scammed out of money or not. And if I was scammed out of the money would there be any way at all to file a suit against these people and get the money back? If anybody knows please let me know, I would really appreciate it. Ive definitely learned my mistake and I will NEVER do it again.

I filed a complaint w/The New York Attorneys Generals office. You can reach them at 716 853 8400. Per the AG offices they are not a legal company registered in NY and they have received many complaints on this Company (IAG -- International Asset Group). Per The AG office, IAG is unable to solicit collection calls as they are doing, threatening lawsuits and check fraud. The AG's office has called IAG on my behalf and I am no longer receiving calls to my home, work or family.

They did the same thing yesterday to my wife's work. What can we do to stop this s***. They told me today that she will get fired and taken to court if I did not start to pay on this loan. I live in Arizona where payday loand are illegal.

This company/collection agency IAG spoke with my husband last night. He discussed my account/debt and then to really get harrassed they FAXED a note to my employer(on a non-secured fax line for EVERYONE TO SEE). This totally PISSED me off. Are there any laws they are breaking with this. First of all they have not even mailed a notice to my HOME for me to validate this debt. WHat can I do??
