Hilarious - I had just posted this message, and my phone rang. It was the SAME number calling, trying to tell me they are from an "Auto Center" and they want to sell me car insurance. All you can hear are HUNDREDS of people in the background speaking loudly and doing the same thing. SCAMMING PEOPLE. Crikey! I made the mistake almost 3 years ago, of going online and simply APPLYING for a few online loans, to see what my options were. I never took any loans out, but have been harrassed for near 3 years now by these crooks, trying to scam me. I have done a LOT of research, and have actually sued several of these companies successfully. I know what I am talking about here... so please... don't be stupid and fall for this stuff!

Debt Collector
Wake up everyone, This is not a "Chex System Fraud Alert", these are bottom feeder debt collectors, trying to get your information, so they can figure out if you are the person they are looking for or not. They will ask you a bunch of random, personal questions spoofing as a completely different kind of company, until they have the information they are seeking (date of birth, relatives names and phone numbers, address, social security, job, bank information, you name it!!) and will then continue to harass you to no end until you give them what they want - $$YOUR MONEY$$

Let me guess. Everyone who has looked up this number has either applied for or gotten an online payday loan... am I right? These are the ******** that have your info and are trying to scam $$$ out of you with whatever scare tactics they can use!!! DO NOT EVER GIVE ANYONE YOUR PERSONAL BANKING OR CREDIT CARD INFO ONLINE OR OVER THE PHONE WHEN IT COMES TO THESE "COLLECTORS". They will WIPE YOU OUT and keep making threats in order to scare you into paying them something. They CANNOT have you served or arrested, they CANNOT put you in jail, or charge you with a crime, including bank fraud, bad check, etc... Tell them you want a statement explaining what you owe, in writing, MAILED to you, ask them for a mailing address. A legitimate phone number, etc. A legally practicing, legitimate depbt collector can provide you with these things. If they CANNOT, if they REFUSE, and if they become ANGRY, INTIMIDATING, INSULTING, or THREATENING, impersonate an officer of the law, federal government employee, attorney, process server, or anyone else in a public or licensed position, they are BREAKING THE LAW. LEARN YOUR RIGHTS!!!! I'm SO sick and tired of seeing all the people out there fall prey to these scams, OVER AND OVER!!!!!! Did you know all you need is a few recorded calls and documentation of their calls/conversations, and you can SUE them for $1000 for each violation? This is NOT Check (Chex) Systems - they do NOT call people, they report to vendors ONLY. This is a 3RD PARTY JUNK DEBT COLLECTOR. They buy old debts for PENNIES on the dollar, usually from crooked companies that loan money for 10 times the amount borrowed, trapping people into a never ending cycle that they can't get out of, forcing many to close their bank accounts and the debt (which has usually been paid many times over already) go into "collection". They will try every trick in the book (legal and ILLEGAL) to get money from people whether they are the correct debtor or not, or whether the debtor still owes the money or not. They don't care who they scam - Old, young, widowed, jobless, single parents, etc - but what they DO want is for you to be ignorant of the laws that they are breaking, because if you fall for their threats (which are bulls*it)then they have you - and your money. IGNORE THEM. Don't respond - don't reply - and most importantly - DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY OR YOUR ACCOUNT INFO! EVER!!!!!!!!!

PLEASE PEOPLE - SMARTEN UP!!!!!!!!!

Just got this call.  Find it odd seeing as I haven't had a checking account in 5 years.  Not going to bother to call back seeing as I don't have an account to worry about

I received the strange call today, same accent, same message.  Very odd. I did not call, my bank would have contacted me and the # was not from my bank.  I think its a scam of some sort.

I received the same message claiming there was suspicious activity on my checking account but I know for a fact that this is not a number from my bank.  I suspect it is a debt collector using sleazy techniques to get people to call them back because I get these types of calls for my ex-roommate all the time that gave out my number instead of hers.  I didn't bother calling back.

Just happened to me today. They left a voice mail saying that there was suspicious activity on my account (also British accent) and to return the call. Sounds like a scam to me considering if there were anything wrong, my bank would have contacted me or one of my credit protection companies.

Same thing happened to me and I did call. These people are trying to hunt down some lowlife and not reporting anything to do with me. Fact is for 5 years they have called for this person and it now gets to the point they are calling and saying there are issue with an account.

Got a message saying there was suspicious activity on my checking account and to call the number. I did not recognize the name of the company, not any of my id protection companies. I am going to check my checking accounts separately, just to make sure, but the voice was oddly British. I say oddly, because it sounded like she was trying to sound British and really wasn't.  The call seemed suspicious to me.
