Just wondering about all these 1800 366-5195, 1877 266-0110 numbers.  The first one reads Precision Law Center 6 Hutton Center Drive, Ste. 600  South Coast Metro, CA 92707.  The second one has no address whatsoever just "Litigation Department Official Business"  Both say Mass Joinder Litigation Lawsuit.  Pretty much what has been posted here.  It looks like  HUGE scams are going on since I couldn't find ANY information on any of these two ghost companies.  If you find any other info keep us posted.  Thanks.
BINGO!!!!!
Just found the website of one of these;  http://precisionlawcenter.com  BEWARE THIS is one of those building that offers VIRTUAL OFFICES< hence they are not LEGIT as they can flee this place in 5 seconds.

Got the same official looking note.  But my Mortgage is with Chase.  I smell BS.  Sounds like some lawyer going through public records and sending out these notes to anyone with a mortgage in the area.

I received the Personal and Confidential official looking piece of paper in the mail and our says RE: The People vs. Michael Auriemma which we did some business with and he was the biggest scammer. he took advantage of my husband and I and stole over $200K from us. I hope he chokes on that money.
The letter says response is required and its from Litigation Department Official Business. Personal ID Number and everything. I have called the number a few times and it says that the office is currentl closed and you can't even leave a voicemail or anything and it doesn't say what the name of the company is.
The piece of mail says we may be a plaintiff in a national mass joinder suit against Michael Auriemma - which would be nice but this sounds like a scam to me. I will keep you guys posted if this goes any further, but as of right now the phone number is useless.

Received a MASS JOINDER LITIGATION LAWSUIT FORM 1012-R, Legal Notification RE:  The People vs Countrywide Bank Fsb.   My concerns were similar to others who have posted to this and other similar 800 numbers:  If they contacted us about a lawsuit settlement, why do they need us to give them loan information & why is it costing us $3,000 to "re-negotiate" our loan?  If we did renegotiate, don't we lose equity we already have built up?

My husband called the number.  We got to the point where they faxed us paperwork.  I read the papers and determined that it was a foreclosure settlement application.  Here's the kicker, we are not behind or late in our mortgage payments, and have not received any legal notifications from the bank referencing payment problems.

Anyone who receives this type of information should definitely 1) BE DETAIL ORIENTED...read the paperwork thoroughly 2) investigate the company if you can get their name. (ALLIANCE NETWORK was the name on the letterhead we received with the facsimile.  When I googled them, I found nothing.)  3) Take the paperwork to a trusted attorney. 4) DO NOT give them ANY information.

The hook was that it would save us some $700 a month in payments.  Hard to walk away from, but with all of the scams going on in the world today, one does not really know to what extent they could be negatively impacted...

I, too, got a very official "looking" document.  My lender is (was) Fremont, now serviced by Litton, owned through MERS (Everyone should Google that) by HSBC (never got a transfer notice on that one).
The entire initial mortgage document package is riddled with federal and state law breaking clauses.  Wouldn't surprise me in the least if there companies went down--getting our mortgages voided would be lovely, but hard to do.  Owe more on my mtg that when I bought the house 8 years ago plus sold me a 2nd with over 30% in "fees" at the same time for what they listed as "home repairs and cash"-right, like I got money back out of that, LMAO.  Hope it's real, but if not, I've found some other firms doing the same thing.
Look into it.

I actually received a very official looking piece of mail, much like a tax return check or a payroll check that you have to tear off all of the edges to get into it.

Mine was for a "Mass Joinder LItigation Lawsuit" with the number 877-266-0110 to call.  The 'lawsuit' is for 'monetary damages' and (you'll love this) to 'VOID my mortgage note' .  I have not yet investigated....
