I also got a call from this number and several other phone numbers they are calling my home my cell and my job stating I am wanted on check fraud charges and i was to call them back. I called a lawyer and they checked them out. he stated that it's a scam and to not call them back. I will be filing a complaint.

I am having the same problem with these people.

I called and asked for their address as I have got a Lawyer involved.

No response.

Their giing me the run around.

I also received calls from this same number regarding an overdue account from bell that they are now collecting for. It looks like bell sold overdue accounts to this company. It's a real company, but I don't know if they are a scam.

Fake collection call from "TCS" in Asbury Park, NJ. He had an East Indian accent, said that TCS stands for "takhargroups.com" which is invalid. Then he said TCS means "Takhar Collection Service" but I had to make him repeat it and spell it then he got irritated because I couldn't understand him.

He said that "Fedreal Law allows him to collect on personal business debts." But I don't have any unpaid bills or so-called "personal business" debts. I don't live anywhere near NJ, so my home State law supercedes NJ state law and he wouldn't quote the "federal law" to me either.

I asked for his client that hired him, he said "confidential" which is crap because they have to disclose to you what the bill is and who the client is.

The website is fake, and I don't want to call the phone number back to check because they might be able to get my blocked phone number. Somehow he got my first name, but I DID NOT VERIFY IT WAS ME. I WOULDN'T VERIFY ANY INFO HE SAID.

He got upset and hung up.  This collection agency is a scam. I'm disconnecting my phone number.

Got a call from this number. The guy pretended to be a collection agency called TCS and was collecting on a fake overdue account for Bell Canada. The agent was rude, aggressive and threatening. Said his name was Max Payne (just like the video game). He asked for me to fax a phone bill to 888 246 4592. This number was not in service, but he also asked to call him before sending it. I was suspicious so I didn't.  This is not a real agency and they are fraudsters.

Send them a certified letter demanding they stop calling.  By law they have to.  Then tell them all future correspondence must be by mail.  If they continue calling, you have the legal right to sue them, but cover yourself...be sure you send them a certified letter and KEEP the receipt.

Don't let these worms intimidate you.  Get informed.  They CANNOT call you early in the morning.  They cannot call and intimidate or abuse you.  They cannot misrepresent who they are.  This takhar group is a stain, they are what's wrong with this country.  They buy blocks of allegedly outstanding bills and then try to collect on them to make a profit.  They contribute nothing to society.  They are there to prey on the ignorance and fear of people.  Yes, there are people who are deadbeats, but takhar doesn't care who's who.  They just care about their bottom line.  If they break any part of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (just look it up online, it's simple to read), SUE THEM!!!

Wow, was that EVER helpful!

As I mentioned in my earlier post, our office has been receiving calls from that Call Display number up to 5 times a day, sometimes 3 calls in a 10 minute time span.

I called the number that you suggested and spoke with a woman named April.  She was VERY courteous, clear and helpful and our number will be removed within the week.

She also affirmed that it this particular call was a Bell Canada issue, that TCS is a completely separate company from Bell, and that if the issue had been resolved since this matter was sent to their collection agency, TCS may not have been informed.

I am going to be passing this information on to the person they were inquiring about and also ask them to FIRST contact Bell Canada (to see if this is resolved etc) and if it is, for them to please send that information in writing to the Cambridge Office fax number.

Again, the service I had from speaking with April was good, and hopefully these calls will cease within a week's time.

I am actually an ex employee of Takhar and i'm going to fill you in on something. Anyone from this agency who calls you and seems to have a west indian accent but has an american name, isn't who they say they are. They are infact working out of India, in a call centre called Para's and have been given american names to deflect from issues with outsourcing work to other countrys. I do not know if they are licensed in canada but I can tell you that working for Takhar I had recieved many complaints about there office with taking out payments when there not supposed to, taking out 2 much etc. so don't trust that office. We have an office here in Cambridge Ontario, there # is 1-877-227-3390 for Rogers, Bell, and Sprint Customers and # 1-888-246-3871 for Citi Financial customers, when calling I suggest you speak with Amy, Veronica, Edwin, Melissa or Sarah, they are all Canadian citizens and should be able to help you with your file, if not you can ask to speak with Judy Manzo or Dan Sanghera who are both floor managers. I would say ask to speak with the owners but they are both Robbing Sods. I am a registered Third Party Collections associate in all provinces and territories in canada and if anyone needs assistance working with this agency and getting some resolution on there file, please feel free to contact me @ JeffCox85@hotmail.com and place Takhar Collections in the subject line of ur email(jus to ensure I recieve it).

I got the same info as everyone else the first time he called...TCS...over due bill, credit card number.
Today i just let my cell ring, that was at 4. Since ive gotten no calls from the number. If you acually look the number up, i have my ways, you'll find the number is based in canada, but then if you search again, its unknown, and jumps around the world.Everything about the number and service are fake. when you call it you get a machine saying the number is temp. disabled. message 200.

Our business is continuing to receive calls from this number, and they NEVER quit.  Perhaps it is about time we all call BELL CANADA collections/credit department and ask them what this is about, seeing that this is the only company that is ever cited (other than TCS itself).

If Bell sold incorrect information to a Credit Collection Agency, the responsibility for this Agency's practices is directly traced back to them, and they should be held responsible.

I am sick and tired of getting these calls. We simply hang up every single time, but I am actually considering putting them on hold perpetually, or creating a looping recording that simply says, "Stop calling us. Cease and desist." etc...

Has anyone else had another company referenced in their call (such as the reference to an old Bell Canada bill by one of the earlier submissions)?  
I'm trying to determine if they are used exclusively by Bell so that I begin to call BELL directly, but if there are other companies using them, it'd would be good to know that.

This company calls my number sometimes up to four times a day, and today it started at 7:02 am. They say it's to do with a Bell bill I swear I paid, I said to the last one, fine, whatever, send me a bill and I'll check it out, they haven't sent anything and continue to call. They do say they are TCS, a collection agency. Next time I will read them the rules from the web site on the guidelines provided above, thank you.

When I threatened him with my lawyer he put me on hold for oer 30minutes.

They call me at least 15 times a day.n With a name & account I know nothing about.

This person says that he is Samuel Johnson from TCS.  When prompted for what he wants it is related as being "personal business".  He also simply asks for the person's first initial and last name, with no greeting whatsoever.  Incidentally, he never asks for the first name, which to me rings of something not quite legit.

After being told numerous times that he is not to call but rather "cease and deacist" he continues to call sometimes 3 times the same day.  If he is a creditor, he certainly is not following the Ontario Government's guidelines of what a Creditor can or cannot do (see the web address below for more details):

This organization calls repeatedly over a matter I know nothing about.

this guys calls my house many times aday. he did give an address after bugging for a credit card number for a bell bill that was resolved months prior.

He said he lives on bevelyhills road or street/drive in Cambridge, Ontario. First he says he is marvin then max payne.

When they call, get their fax number....AFTER they give this, tell them CEASE AND ASSIST.....dfo not say b4, or they won't give u the #, this d****ead told me they don't have a fax number!
