I?m not too happy with the service my husband has had credit pro for almost decade, close to the 10 yrs mark. Plus I add the total amount he paid to Credit Pro and it over 8,000.00 .The Company he worked for Close and was laid off.  Every month he has to send his unemployed forms. Californian unemployed office s are in delay .with every one checks. So the one he sends in is not dated what they want. They ask him to resend his forms. But it can be that it won?t make it on time so the pay his bill. He fears that Credit Pro will not pay his account on time. Making his Credit look bad. And getting last charges on his bill.    He has already been unemployed for 90 consecutive days.
2nd every time he calls it just a middle person reading updates on his account. They Can never give him answers. ?Sorry Sr. but I not sure we have to wait till 30days or till they update you account info? .?WHAT?really his been approved his unemployed for almost 3 months.  Why can?t we speak to the analyst that reviews his account approval? Not to happy. So when will they pay off his balance?

Macy customers call to activate their card, not be sold worthless services.  It's unfortunate that the phones for activation are  assigned to dishonest and slick salespeople who are given a quota and trained to be deceptive.  Shame on you!  Is this the only job you could get or do you enjoy ripping off seniors?

It is a scam when you have not authorized Credit Pro to provide their service.  It is also illegal.

I just called Credit Pro and stated that there is a charge on my Macys bill for 19.57 and that I would like to have this amount refund and a copy of the documentation that I signed up for it.  I was told by the rep that they can either refund my 19.57 or send me the documentation BUT if they sent me the documentation then they would not refund me my 19.57.  I said, please do not give me an option, I am paying this money and as a consumer have a right to the document that YOU said I signed.  She refused.  I said to her for now keep them both and I am going to report you the the State Attorney General's office.  You are bilIing me for a service that I have not asked for and are now dictating your resolution to me.  I want the document.  I also have learned that..."Whenever you run across these types of scammers in any industry ALWAYS file a claim with your State's Attorney General office. It may take a couple hours but these claims are taken very seriously and the company MUST respond or be subject to further review leading up to prosecution which can lead to treble damages (three times original damages)."

As consumers, we have the right to cancel any service and not have big business BILL us for services that we have not asked for.  I too do not always check the entire statement as I have online banking and pay the bill.  I use happen to look more closely last evening and discovered that when I called to cancel this service months ago, they are still billing me!  I want my money back.  All of it!

So what if they help some people, if they ASKED for the service they paid to be helped.  No offense.

If you work for Macy's Protection Plan and their damned American Express Protection Plan, automatically billed from the first card they issued when they took over from Visa, then why would they deny paying up for customer who is now critically ill and dying?   They told me, quote' "You haven't had it long enough".

Based on everything you have set forth, Macy's will not pay your bill for you, not even the small amount of $12.  Their Protection Plan is a hoax that I have lived through since Feb 2012.

Oh no they don't pay!  I've paid for the Macy's American Express Credit Protection plan for years, and before that, Macy's Visa Credit Protection Plan.  Now that I am dying they are refusing to pay any part of my debt, which is not very much.  I hate Macy's and their American Express!  Belive it or not, they are still billing me for their no-pay protection plan.

I understand that people may think that it is a fraud. i would like to state it is the card holders responsability rto read things before you just sign! not ours! no the macys/bloomingdales DONT get extra $$ for signing you up for credit pro, because it is CLEARLY over top of where YOU sign to get the credit card!!   what doesnt make since to me is that it takes you customers YEARS to notice a fee. taht is just crazy & lets us know that you did sign for the Credit pro because YOU dont pay attention. READ BEFORE YOU SIGN !!! .that simple/

What makes me angry, is I just noticed this charge...and I'm positive I didn't agree to it. If I did, I would've known to call them after I lost my job July 2011 and didnt get hired for anew one until February 2012. So if this program is what they claim it to be, I just go screwed because I didn't take advantage of what I had been paying for all along. But then again...if I would've KNOWN it was snuck in on me, I wouldn't be complaining today.

Okay, I've been working for this company for over 3 years now I would first like to state that this service is not scam. I do understand where everyone is coming from considering the way customers get enrolled in this opitional service!! But it is your responsibilty to read the credit card agreement. The text on the pin pad is in bold black letters for u to selet yes or no. You people really get so annoying and made my job so much harder. Don't think bc u were never informed or aware of this service being added to ur account that when we escalte the call that u will get ur money back bc if we find ur poe(signature.
,recorded call...etc). U dumbasses won't be receiveing any refund. Credit pro does not care if u don't speak/read Enlish this would be ur own problem. I really really hate u customers and wishu all would get lifes and read more carfully next time...suckers

First, most people either have that insurance or your little bit will not help them.  Second, the charges for this "protection" are unbelievably high.  You could get a decent term life policy for that amount.  Third, the fact that your company does this doesn't excuse your culpability in recommending or defending it. "I was just following orders" hasn't been a successful defense since World War II. Stop siding with the crooks.

Give me a break Macy's. CREDIT PROTECTION? Your company charges 2.5% a month for very limited insurance.  IT's USURY and INTENTIONAL CREDIT DESTRUCTION. Besides the outrageous price in addition to your unbelievable 2+% a month interest that you charge, most of your customers did not give their permission or at best were asked to check a box as a condition or to improve their chance of getting credit.  We give accused criminals a list of basic rights when they are arrested but you stand behind the scam that some customer agreed to check a box when the clerk told them to check and sign at the counter.  Perhaps your Board and Management should be arrested but read their rights so you'd get the difference between deceit and information. Your scan is worse in design than the adjustable rate mortgages that bankers knew would mostly fail.

I?ve just noticed a recurrent monthly charge on my wife?s Macys account for $20 plus each month. We called and they said that it was authorized when my wife opened the account, in a "small letter" paragraph on the contract. The number that appears right next to the charge is (877) 268-7857. They told her they would cancel it for now, but we needed to fill out a form to see if we were eligible for a refund. I'm talking around $600 since the opening of the account. This seems like a scam that?s been going on forever, and no authority does anything about it.
