Got a call this morning, and I answered.  Asked for me by name then said I have an important call for you please hold on while I connect you.  I said if the call were so important, I wouldn't need to hold on, have a nice day and I hung up.

Must be a prime NCO Group almost full disclosure number, around since 2008. The problem with them is all the predatory cowardly nondisclosure calls. Found reference to P.O. Box 17205 Wilmington, Delaware 19850, as one of probably many associated to this number. This PO Box is one of many locations not listed under their BBB NCO Group. Maybe one day they'll disquise themselves as almost ethical professionals. Preying on the elderly, vulnerable, and  uninformed is not a virtue.

This caller started usong the fraudulent caller ID "United States Government" so I answered and a peron who could not pronounce my name said to hold the line so they could put on someone who needed to speak to me about an important business matter. This was the 3rd time they had called with this id from different numbers. Reverse lookout id'd them as NCO debt collecter.

I think if you answer. then they know they have reached a valid number. I think too that it is an automated dialer . I get these calls too and when I have answered in the past, I cannot even understand who they are looking for. Sounds like someone from India. I don't answer/

I got a call from 877-273-3495 "NCO Financial Services",
claiming to be an attempt to collect a debt.
In the recorded message they left on my answering machine,
they instructed me to call somebody named "Ace Garcia" at 888-666-4546,
then it gave me a code to refer to that was extremely loud and muffled,
but it sounded something like "X8R155".

Why the HELL would they instruct me to call a different number
than the one they called me from,
then leave an unintelligible reference  or confirmation number?

I blocked their number.  Let's see 'em get past THAT!

Hi -- well this number is still at it -- got a very treatening voicemail on our home phone stating that this was a debt collection issue.  Phoned back to be told that our number (which we have had for over 16 years) was registered to a "Sandra Brown".  When I questioned where the number was obtained from-the representative stated that it was from a "skip chase' (go figure) and that they would remove the number from the database.  This certainly smells of scam -- please be careful-- I have documented the instance and will be tracking to ensure that they stop once and for all.

Guess it's my turn, got home from work tonite to find a pre-recorded message from these folks......... doubt I will attempt to call them back. I am gone all day so they can call as often as they like, my answering machine will do the work. I believe if they left some detailed info for the reason they made contact I may have called them back.

Nuisance call.  No debts to be collected here.  I returned their call over a year ago and actually talked to a person.  They said the calls would stop.  They haven't.  I am on no call lists.

NCO Debt Collection, the message they leave is they are nco debt collection, but there is no one on the line for me to talk to, they have to have a live person on the other end by law.  I refuse to call them back knowing this is probably a scam.

These jerks have been calling several times a day looking for a guy who used to live at this address and apparently skipped on some bills.  They're too stupid to use a reverse phone lookup and see that we've had this phone number and lived at this address for three years.  I'm not doing their homework for them so they can keep calling and we can keep ignoring the calls.

Here are the following numbers I have for NCO
(215) 441-3000
(401) 519-1492
(951) 289-4303
(360) 350-5360
(702) 576-0429
(440) 399-7470

They call starting at 8:00am and then call 6-8 times more with their please hold for a message. Don't hold.

I'm sure they will continue to call in different numbers.
Search on Trap Call.  You can block the numbers as you know them.
They will get a disconnected message.

THIS IS IMPORTANT-The Federal Trade Commission has protection against

How can I stop a debt collector from contacting me?
If a collector contacts you about a debt, you may want to talk to them at least once to see if you can resolve the matter ? even if you don?t think you owe the debt, can?t repay it immediately, or think that the collector is contacting you by mistake. If you decide after contacting the debt collector that you don?t want the collector to contact you again, tell the collector ? in writing ? to stop contacting you. Here?s how to do that:

Make a copy of your letter. Send the original by certified mail, and pay for a ?return receipt? so you?ll be able to document what the collector received. Once the collector receives your letter, they may not contact you again, with two exceptions: a collector can contact you to tell you there will be no further contact or to let you know that they or the creditor intend to take a specific action, like filing a lawsuit. Sending such a letter to a debt collector you owe money to does not get rid of the debt, but it should stop the contact. The creditor or the debt collector still can sue you to collect the debt.

Send them a registered letter, telling them not to call you anymore and advising them that you will pursue any further harassment to the fullest extent of your state and federal Fair Debt Collection laws. If they don't stop calling you, there are penalties, including civil judgments you can collect.

Of course, if you DO owe the money and the debt is still within your state's statute of limitations, they can stop calling and sue you in civil court for it. But most of these guys are bottom feeders who buy old, uncollectable debt for pennies on the dollar and try to collect some percentage of it, especially from consumers who don't know their rights. They use auto-dialers, which is why there's never anyone there for you to complain to. It doesn't cost them anything, really, to harass you day and night, whether it's your debt or that of someone who used to have your number or whose name is similar to yours.

Good luck!

For over a month I have been receiving a pre-recorded message claiming the call is an attempt to collect a debt from NCO Financial and to call a number and a specific person (I don't know the number or the person's name because I usually hang up at this point). The pre-recorded message never identify the person who allegedly owes this debt. The aforementioned company calls 4-6 days (Mon.-Sat.) per week and at various times of the day - as early as 8:32 AM and as late as 3:18 PM (MST). I don't believe anyone currently living in my household owes anyone for an unpaid debt. I believe I am being harassed by this company and I don't why or how they got my phone number.

Yes I get calls from this company NCO Financial at least 4 times a day. They are very rude IF I do answer the telephone. I have literally got into a verbal argument with one lady over the phone wanting me to agree to pay them monies, that I Had not a clue I had even owed. When I told her I knew my rights, and DID not want them contacting me in any fashion at all anymore she started to get verbally abusive, And I advised her I wanted a copy of this SO called Recorded conversation mailed to me ASAP along with whatever info they state that have stating I allegedly owe a debt. She refused Go figure. How can you Make them stop calling several times a day? I Have already stated to them several times to STOP Calling.. They wont.
