this person is calling me every day. I don't know what they want.

Just received a call from this company and just left a message saying that it was important for me to contact these people when I called back all there was, was music and a long list of options to go to.  They did not answer but they did have a list of things to opt and if you want to talk with someone.

i received a letter from them wanting money from a old bill.the letter looked strange to me so i looked them up..and they keep calling me like every hour i swear..so theses people are scamers? figures i had a call once from a man from out the country regarding a past due bill that i had already paid lol...he was telling me that the bill would stay off my credit report if i paid him now by credit card ..i told him i already paid the dept off..and he argued with me that i didnt..so when he called the next day i told him i reported his number to the authorities..he started to yell at me and ask why i did that..said i had no right to do that lol i never heard from him again..how did he get my imfo on my dept i owed and my account number?

I have been getting tons of calls from these guys with the same issues.

They have been calling me for months looking for someone else.  The funny thing is that my number is not from the United States.... They leave messages with a references number and every time I called back they hanged up.  I called once more they picked up and without saying Hello! Asked me for my reference number I said I was just calling because I have received numerous calls asking for a Jason Vanderfield and a reference number but I am not that person and they hanged up.  I though the connection failed, so I called again, then an answering machine said that they will be with me shortly.  2 minutes later the same rude guy picked up without saying hi and just said: " Mam, the number is going to be erased the number is XXXXXXXX I told him that is not the number they are calling me to and he asked me for it and then he said  ok and hanged up.... Super rude did not say what company what name nothing I tried to ask but hanged up...... I really want to know who it is!! I am mad!!!!

I received a call from this place called CPS and they are looking for my mother who I know has no credit cards etc cause she is too elderly for anything...

I just called this/these/person/persons back.  I state this because as I sit here on hold it seems that there is only one person at this "Company", called CPS according the person that I was speaking to stated that his name is Mike Beal.  When I asked him why he called, he hung up.  That's fine with me.  I just wanted to return his call...now he is blocked.  Am doing more research on MR BEAL....If I find out anything else I will post it here....and a hundred other places....

I have been getting calls from CPS also and they say it is for a recent credit card purchase but I didn't make any purchases.  I have a feeling it's some sort of scam and they even leave reference numbers also.

I received a letter from them calling them selves CPS Security with the 877-277-1775 phone number. I tried to look them up on line and did not get a result any where near this company. Are they for real or just a scam?

They are a collection agency and go by dozens of different telephone numbers.  Another favoriate number they like to use is 210-694-8469

I Too have received contact by cps securities by letter regarding an hsn bill for 113.00 I conatcted them to try to make pymt arrangements was transferred to a very nasty man i offered to make payments he stated they dont accept pymts.  i asked you mean to tell me you don't want my money he said you owe this and have to pay now i told them obviously i contacted them for a reason to settle this debt he then hung up on me i called back and was transferred back to him i said we must have gotten disconnected he SAID i hung up on you i had nothing else to say to you.  How can you deal with people like this?  i even tried to call hsn no help at all they would not take my money said i had to contact cps told them i tried and explained to them what happened received a letter in mail stating if i did not pay within 10 days they would perform a personal invesitigation on me is this legal?  WELCOME ANY RESPONSE

I received an automated message on my phone from CPS much like the previous posters. I had no idea what they could possibly want; I pay my bills every month and have not received and emails or letters stating so much as a late payment, much less a referral to a debt collection agency. I decided to google the phone number and found this thread, which convinced me to ignore them, as they obviously have no honorable intentions. If they really want to reach me they can have a human call me or send me a letter. As far as threats, no one has indicated any actual actions by CPS, just a lot of bluster.

Yes, I recieved a call from them and threats of a lawsuite as well, they are very rude and I would like to know if we have any rights to handle this crap. It is not nessesary for them to be so rude as soon as we call them back, even if we are trying to pay the balance off! I work in customer service and would be fired if I talked to clients like that. Something needs to be done about that, we can even pay them if we wanted to because they are too busy being rude they don't even listen!

210-694-8469 is the phone number that showed up on the caller ID.  also left message to call 877-277-1775 in regard to a check and left an "ID" number to reference.  automated system answers this number and half of the prompts are dead ends including the one referecing their mailing address.

let me know what you find out/ I have talked to a guy named Frank who is telling me the same thing. he is really hateful and I am wondering if there is anything that can be done about this

Been getting calls for awhile. It is for a $60 balance with HSN. I tried to resolve this with HSN because they sold me product that was horrible, bad stiching and fell apart. I paid half and felt that is all I should pay. I requested a refund at first and would send it back. they said try to call back in 30 days to see if they had a replacement in my color before returning. So I did and now they won't take it-says over the return period. So I'm stuck with a purse that is no good. i even paid extra to repair and didn't work. So tried to settle with them and they wouldn't. transferred to CPS who have called 5 times a day for 3 months. explained the story to them and they don't care either. filed a complaint with BBB and they refuse to cooperate. Now CPS threatening me with lawsuits and garnishments. All for $60. Any suggestions? Is this legal and possible?

I received a very threatening letter and I hace been trying to contact them but neither the 1-877-882-5153 works from Puerto Rico nor HSN could provide me with another number nor were they able to help because the account was in collection. At HSN they were not helpful at all and just said that they can get through...Also, I returnes several items if not all of them!!!!

I just got a call from this number and they said it was for a credit card debt. All my credit cards are paid off each and every month. They also gave me a reference number to mention when I call them back. They said it was CPS. Well I am not going to call them back. For all I care they can take and shove this phone call. They told me to call 1-877-277-1775.

This company contacted me today and told me that they are going to take me to court for credit card fraud and I will be served papers next week. I asked what this was about and he hung up on me. When I called again I got the same person. He told me that he would accept full payment and when I asked for what and why don't they take payments and he hung up on me again.

I just started getting these calls the other day. I have not called back because they keep saying it is about a credit card purchase I made reciently but I do not own a credit card. I have my bank card but nothing has bounced on that and I have not even used it fora few days. I just think it is fishy. Do you think I should call and ask?

They called and left a voicemail.  Female (I think) spoke such broken English that I could not understand her.  Certainly could not even pronounce my name.  From reading the posts, this is HSN's collections arm.  The caller did not identify herself, just spoke words that were virtually impossible to understand.  Have also had past problems with HSN products and returns.  if this is anything to do with returned items they have not credited to my account, they can kiss my *ss!

This company is harassing a client of mine. They are collecting from the Home Shopping Network and stating that they will be "prosecuting for credit card fraud". Statements like this are highly illegal. They are claiming they never say such things. this phone number called me and then hung up on me as well.. i called back and talked to the manager who hung up on me when i told him he had the wrong number, and then he hung up on me 3 more times! this place is very obnoxious

This number called and it was an automated calling that asked for me or my spouse and said it had something to do with a check written at Winn Dixie? We don't even shop at Winn Dixie.

This number called and left a message for someone who doesn't have my phone number. I called back twice to tell them that but they hung up on me in midsentance. The third time I asked for a supervisor and she hung up on me too. The forth call I unfortunatly got the same supervisor and she said quit harrassing them and don't call back! They identified as HSN collection agency. Is this the Home Shopping Network. Very rude and obnoxious people? Anyone have a corporate number for them?

What did you do to harrass them?  I want to do the same.  They are RUDE and obnoxious when you try to call them back and tell them they are not reaching the person they think they are.
