Calls every day, I do not answer.

This number calls but never talks or leaves message if I don't answer

This number just called my sister in law on her cell, asking for my husband at my other sister in laws address.  Tried to say they were going to have him arrested for giving a fake address when she said that was not his address.  Then they said they were going to have a warrent put out for his arrest if he did not call back in 1 hour. Nice. Hello, FCC...

They just called my cell phone asking me if I knew my brother in law. Of course I denied it and I know that he does have outstanding and very very very late student loan payments. But with todays economy and losing jobs, I don't feel so bad about coverin up for him.

They call CONSTANTLY and yell into the phone!  It's very aggravating.

SO many calls.  Long ANNOYING messages wasting my time.

A person that goes by the name of Betty keeps calling Re: Paying a Loan, and they keep calling everyday, they want me to give account numbers too them, I almost did, but refused before I could get more information from them, does anyone know who these people are??? Are they who they say they are???

A female  called to say my granddaughter had used me as a job reference and she needed to verify her last employer, which I didn't know, and her cell phone #, which I also didn't know,  She ask me to call back when I got the number. My granddaughter has been looking for work so I didn't think anything about it. I called the granddaughter and she said she never used me as a reference but she did have an outstanding debt in collection.  The caller's name was Alex Jones, however now I doubt that's true.  My caller ID showed Bellingham, WA,........my state but not my town.  .........Just discovered that the caller ID # is different that the # she gave me to call her back.   1-360-752-9001

I had an issue with my Johnson & Wales student loan. it eventually got turned over to this Premier Credit. I continue to pay on it through this company, as well as recieve mail from them. But the reviews im reading are worrying me. Can anyone provide me with some help or feed back?

I got a call on my answering machine. The voice said, "This is Bill McColough. I'm calling to confirm some location information. Please call me back at 877-277-2849, extension number xxxx, reference number xxxx as soon as you can." Caller did not state any company name or address.

Needless to say, I'm certainly NOT calling them back.

What they said was " Is Glenda their, (SHE WAS NOT) I am her husband, asked what it was about, they said it was a buisnes deal. I told them that they had called before, and do not call ever again. But they were hostial. This was at 1;10 pm MAY 26, 2010.
i TOLD THEM IF THEY EVER CALL AGAIN I WOULD CONSIDER IT A HERASMENT CALL, AND WOULD CONTACH THE ATTORNEY GENERAL. ALSO IT WOULD COST THEM $500 FOR EACH CALL TO ME FROM NOW ON.
I AM LOOKING FOR THE NAME AND HAVE NOT YET FOUND IT. ADRESS BUT NO NAME.

I got a phone call from this number today in regards to my father. They wanted me to give them his Cell Phone. The lady was Cynthia and they did not get pissy when I said I could not give it to them right there. He does in fact have outstanding student loans from Alaska and there could have been an unresolved issue with Child Support as well. I just passed the information on to him and advised him to not give any personal or banking details out over the phone.

"This is not a sales call" has been received every weekend for the last 6 months or more.  It is a computor generated call and no one answers.  It just says to call 1-877-277-2849 during business hours.

Caller left a message on our answering machine saying "a friend or family member had listed us a possible reference and I (the caller) just needs to verify some basic demographic information". He said his name was Mike Thomas and to call 1-877-2277-2849, ext number, and a "reference" number. But...our caller ID shows the call came from a local Washington phone number with the name "Donald McDaniel". I checked with family and they have no idea what it could be about. So it's probably to collect on somebody's debt or a scam. I won't even bother calling somebody who uses such unethical methods. I really appreciate all the comments people leave on here. It has helped us figure out several of the scam calls we have received in the past.

I have recieved calls from these people from 877-277-2849 and how about they are calling for someone else and they say the persons name and all now my voice mail messages says my full name because I have my own business and they still leave this persons personal info on my voice mail. I have called them over and over again and asked if they would remove me from their calling list because its the wrong number but they won't so I am just going to keep calling them over and over again and worry the Hell out of them until they remove it. I wish I could find the person that they are really calling because he would not have to pay a dime knowing they are putting his personal business out there like that. These people are bottom feeders and they are right they are sharks!!!!

Yea, I just got something saying a friend or family member listed me a personal reference also. What is it about?? I do live in AK and I do not have an outstanding loan; I've never had one! I don't get who it is or what they want...same thing, orlando barnes.
The number on my caller ID was an Alaskan area code and had some odd name...weirdos.

These folks have been calling me at home and cell phone for over a year now.  First they said it was because of my Alaska Student Loan and wanted my banking information to make a payment.  I said no, that I would be happy to send them a money order, but I first had to contact Alaska Student Loan.  I also wanted them to send me something via the mail.  Never got anything from them.  The guy I spoke with was Orlando Barnes.  Now they are calling me about a vague loan that I have.  When I wouldn't verify any of my information over the phone, the gal on the line got really pissy.  She asked me if I was refusing to pay.  I said no, that I was refusing to give out personal information over the phone.  I wished her a happy day and hung up.  I've tried to call back the number that was listed on my caller id and have been told (via recording) that I cannot dial the number as it is an international one.  Don't trust them, and wont give them any information.

A person named Orlando Barnes (spelling?) called me from a different number saying that a friend or family member had listed me as a personal reference and needed to verify some information with me. The call back number was listed as the 1-877-277-2849. I did not call them back because it sounds suspicious to me.

Just received a call from a woman (Vicki) who gave this as a number to use to call her back. Although our caller I.D. showed a different phone number "Washington" (1-360-146-5654). She claimed a family member had put me down as a personal reference and she needed to verify some information.The name she gave me for the family member is a name that person has not used in a long time.She wouldn't say the reason, or what company it was, just said she thought it had to do with the person applying for a loan.I kept telling her I don't give out anybody's personal info on the phone and she finally gave up and told me to call her back once I talked to the family member and had their o.k..I talked to the family member and they don't have any idea what it's about.

I got a call yesterday from this number (they asked me to call it back - did not have caller ID on my home phone) saying that they were calling because I was listed as a REFERENCE for a 'friend or family member' that was trying to get a job. They did not even say who this person was applying for a job, but I should call them back within 24 hours so he could 'get this done'...

I find this outright lying to be very distasteful and poor business practice. Is it illegal for a collection agency to lie like this?

Note: I owe no money, but my father does (and we have the same name - I'm the Second), and I've had numerous calls in the past from collectors thinking that I might be him... I'm quite sure that is what this is about, since he resides in New Mexico (although I'm in Oregon~).

Got a recorded call every month from some outfit saying I owed the New Mexico Public Defendeners money. The recording told me to call 877 277 2849 ASAP. "This is not a sales call", it started. I have no overdue debt at all. The number the caller posted on caller ID turned out to be fake. No online listing even recognized the area code. 877 277 2849 is listed as "Premier Credit", which appears to have dubious legitimacy.
I searched the Internet and found this web site. The message really sounded fake. Do not fall for whatever scam they were trying to trick you with.

Just got another batch of calls today from this number - I thought it sounded familiar, so I looked it up.  The person identified herself as Betty Brown and did not leave a company name.  She called customer service at my *work*, as well as leaving a message at home, and the v-mail left said that a friend or family member had put me down as a reference and she was verifying basic demographic information.  Customer service called me - I said I did not know the woman and that it was probably a scam.  My place of work, fortunately, takes this kind of thing very seriously and have very serious measures in place with the phone company - watching out for insurance fraud - so they have no tolerance for anyone appearing to phish for information.

This is outright lying and deceit about who they are and their purpose.  So getting reported to Better Business Bureau and police.

I received a call from (476) 987-2542 earlier today around noon. I called that number back, and a woman's voice said Remember, you must now dial a 1 or a 0 for long distance or operator assisted calls. I hung up, dialed 14769872542. It rang 3 or so times, and then the same voice said the same message. I tried it with 0, and the same thing happened. I then called (877) 277-2849, and a automated message from Premier Credit answered the call. However, since the office was closed, I was instructed to leave a message including my name, number, and when to call back.

They have been calling our place of work for another employee. The employee does not owe any money to anyone and when I tried calling this company back, it goes to nowhere. Seems like they are running a scam.

These people are totally unethical.  I do owe the State of Alaska money for a student loan.  But they lied to my mother and said I had applied for credit and they needed to verify information with her in order to approve my application.  She refused their request and passed the information to me.
