Collection calls are a total waste of time, mine and theirs.  I will not answer - ever!  I have been paying what I can on this account - and just so you know - if the check is cashed, the company has agreed to MY terms.  Guess what - they cashed the checks!  So these calls are futile.  I pay what I can when I can, am well aware of the amount I owe and will get it taken care of as soon as I can. Short of winning the lottery (which I can't afford to enter), I don't see that happening very soon. So, Mr. Collector, keep calling, keep wasting your time. Keep cashing those small little checks that I send.  Then just try to take me to court - we'll see who wins at that point!  As for the post regarding us "idiotic and shameless" people - no, we are definitely not idiotic, nor are we shameless.  We are hard-working, responsible people who understand that there are certain things that need to come before these types of debt - food, shelter, heat, etc.  It isn't our fault that our "wonderful" government has placed us over 17 trillion dollars in debt as a nation.  Call the White House, next, ok?

877-278-5297 is NCO Financial Inc. They are a debt collector for many credit cards and debts. Debt collectors have thousands of 800 numbers and they swap them out too. Most of these debt collectors break 90% of the laws and can get sued. Allot of them are felons with access to all of your credit report information.

The thing is don't get emotional about debt. I have been involved with law suits and it is amazing how much money these people have. Get an attorney and keep records, take pictures and document everything. It can actually be fun if you let it.

They called us regarding Sam's Club credit.  I lost my job in May, husband is disabled.  I started a new job on Jan 2.  We called them last week to try to set up a payment plan WE could afford and they wouldn't accept it.  We offered to make one $100 payment per  month until it is paid off (we owe about $600) and they absolutely would not let us do that.  They wanted the $100 I originally offered but then wanted another payment of $100 by the 12th, which I could not do because I don't get paid until the 14th.  I repeatedly explained I would not have any extra money until I got paid on the 14th but they wanted it on the 12th.  No way that could happen.  They just kept stating the same thing over and over and would not work with me so I told them, "I am hanging up, now" and I hung up.  Now they are calling us like 10 times a day.  I have $100 per month to pay them and that isn't good enough - tough beans.  It is all I have.  You would think they would want the $100 instead of ZERO.  SMH.  

Funny, bit I was taught that it is proper proceedure to identify yourself, leave a message etc.  That is good honest business practice.  Collection agencies are on the hot seat for their unethical practices.  There are hundreds of instances of abuses. If you feel they are intimidating you, contact your state's attorney generals office. keep a log of number of times they call and  hours of the  calls. Get the fake names of any people you speak to because they do not use their real names.  All of this info  helps when filing a lawsuit against these agencies.

These asshats call my house beginning at 8am and going till 6pm. I've blocked every single number they have called from and so far I've counted 15 different numbers...I just keep adding them to the blocked list. Maybe someday they'll realize that harrassing people who don't have money doesn't pay off and their wasting time

Screw you a hole! You don't know anyone's financial situation to make your ignorant comments! I can't believe debt collectors are on these sites bashing people! Don't you have work to do? Incredible that you would take it upon yourself to come on here and bash people like you are so much better than them because you make your little $8 an hour collecting someone else's debt. they will call you from many different numbers to trick you into answering. i google them and keep a list of them. i dont answer any numbers i dont know and they dont leave a message

Received another call from these Bozos.  I think GE has several funkies that do their dirty work.   They have a legal right to try to collect a debt but these Bozos carry it too far and illegal most of the time and alot of harrassment.  They know that the FTC does not care what they do and the only way is  to sue them which alot of people are unable to do and they know this.  If everyone reports their illegal acts to the FTC, maybe, just maybe, in l0-20 years something might get done about illegal acts by these Bozos.

Associates and Supervisor accent was so strong and uninteligable it took an hour to get throug a 10 minute call.  I still have no clue what their company name is.  Trouble is I don't have the money to get a lawyer to fight them.  They had my mobile phone number which only a very select few have.  I think they used "whois" for my web site/email.  How ever it all ended in stalemate, I refused to give them my banking information for automatic payments.

I am a person who owes a debt to people, but how can you pay it if the economy keeps getting worse....I cannot even afford to pay for gas so I can go to work ( By the way i do Work a full time job) and pay my light bill....So how am I supposed to pay debt collectors when they want you to promise to pay such amount that you cannot afford....I cannot believe you have the nerve to get on here and call hard, honest working people "idiotic and shameless"...We have more shame than you will ever know and the way you all as collectors talk to us is what should be called "idiotic"....

One concern is this company calls from several different #s. I understand their strategy however they leave do not state who they are when and if they leave a message. I don't answer #s I can't identify, let alone reply to them. My complaint (to put it slightly) is the harassment u endure. Calling up to 10 times a day just by one of their #s. They even called my husband at work (without consent) and then went on to tell his employee "Ur boss won't answer our calls. We're from .... He's been delinquent since November".... And on and on. Once my husband was on he told them we posted a payment for the full amount and she didn't believe it just bc it didn't show yet. She went on to badger him going as far to say multiple times- Maybe ur wife has a 2nd bank account that u don't know about. I don't even know what that means??? She then wanted a $30 immediate payment as means of "buying us time" to pay the debt due in 4 days??  
They are NCO FINANCIAL INC. In my case they were hired as a 3rd party by Walmart to collect a debt. Our issue was we had moved and not all our mail was getting forwarded and was an oversight. I ignored the calls but as soon as I received an official statement we paid the $800 in full. So legitimate cause just extremely rude and mis-handled.
This company has 1200 complaints on Better Business Bureau. I don't understand why a large company would want to be affiated with them? Sad.

Seems like one of the myriad numbers these skanks use to call from. generally,if I do not recognize a number,I simply let the phone ring until the call is lost.

These bottom feeders call and it takes them half a minute to answer the phone. I go into high gear and berate the flyin' krap out of them. They do not know how to handle my rant and they hang up quickly. I still have no clue who they are working for.............

I have a masters degree and worked in the automotive industry for over 25 years and lost my job due to this economy. I don't anticipate your IQ being very high or you wouldn't be so close minded and quick to judge. It's alright though, the intelligent have a tendency to forgive those less fortunate such as yourself. Just keep in mind that people who were paying their bills may have lost their home and everything else trying to keep their heads above water! You self righteous imbecile!

I think they are trying to collect some Belks money from me. I have not decided whether to pay Belks due to a dispute. At any rate,no collection service would ever get a dime outta me. If I pay this bill,I will pay Belks directly.

Nco has called me at work threaten me while I was with a customer when I asked them to send me a notice of collector in the mail. Then he proceeded to threaten my life and to talk to my boss when I told themif they were real they would contact me on my phone. The second woman called me at 8:45 at night stating she was agent aldem collecting money when I told her the same to send me a notice in the mail stating the collector and ask her not to call me at work she stateed she would stop if I gave her a number to call at home. I said if you are a real colecter she alreaady has my number its the same number for the last fifteen years. She than stated she would continue to call until I gave here my credit card number to pay a bill I have know knowledge of! I hung up and call my hr dept.

I feel like applying for a job with NCO Financial.

This debt collection calls all day and night.  I do not know where they are based out of.  I got a letter in the mail today from a Debt Collector in Kansas for A Walmart Card.  They have called and called and called so I think it might be them.  However when they called several days ago I spoke with them and a woman said that GE Bank sent me to Collections.  I tried to explain to this low life debt collector that i was in a 12 month program paying so much every month and after the 12 months the account will be closed.  In fact when I called GE Bank the representative read me the information while I was speaking with him.  I just mailed in my first payment to them.

I received a call today. It was a recording. I just put them on my ignore button. I also blocked them from calling. Than they called on another number. What part of do not call me, you don't understand. Apparently I have no money or I would not have ignored your phone call. I have been laid off my job for three years now. My unemployment ran out and I had to go and apply for food stamps just to feed my kids. Where do you expect me to get this money (from my a**) You guys are just everyday collectors making maybe 10 to 15 dollars an hour. And I bet some of you a** wipes have bad credit and don't pay your bills. GET A LIFE GE MONEY AND CALL SOMEONE WHO CARES! I HAVE NO MONEY FROM YOU AND WHEN I GET SOME MAYBE JUST MAYBE I WILL PAY MY DEBT. BUT IF YOU THINK BY SENDING ME TO COLLECTIONS THAT I CARE THINK AGAIN.

I got a call today with a recording saying this is a debt and they are going to collect. Well for starters I have no job, I don't get unemployment, I had to go and get food stamps just to servive, So tell me GE Money how the hell do you expect me to pay this money back when I have been laid off for three years. I cannot find a job. Do you expect me to pull money out my a**. Well guess what I'm not paying you a Damn thang./ I cannot pay you something I don't have. So go and suck on an egg. And I hope your reading this.

Calling about six times a day. They bought a disputed account I owe and are trying to collect. Lotsaluck!

Whoever calls me at my work please stop calling me you are harassing my job & my work. I would be appreciated not to call my job. Ok, we are only human that forgotten there bills right not the economy is very much recession so please not to call my anymore at my work.

I received a phone cal from this number earlier today. As usual, no message was left. How is someone supposed to know what you are calling about if you do not leave a message? I was a debt collector and I NEVER MADE ANYBODY FEEL IDIOTIC OR SHAMELESS. As far as being rude, if you weren't you would not write what you wrote. If you want to talk to anyone:
1. DO NOT MAKE THEM FEEL LIKE THEY ARE LOWER THAN LIFE BECAUSE OF FINANCIAL DIFFICULTIES
2. LEAVE AS DETAILED A MESSAGE AS POSSIBLE, CONSISTING OF:
  A. Your Name
  B. Company name
  C. Which company you are collecting for.
  D. Appropriate account numbers/information
  E. Verify that you are a legitimate employee of said company
3. DO NOT DEMEAN OR BELITTLE PEOPLE
