Total scam!!! They say that they are collecting a debt and at the same time will not verify information about themselves. I will be reporting them.

It started off with a man calling my mom blocked stating that he was trying to find me so he could serve me papers. He also was calling me blocked but I do not answer any blocked numbers. He gave my mother this 877 number and so i called. The company was called longview acquisitions. They were claiming I owed money to a payday loan service from 5 years ago before I got married. Was extremely rude to me and hung up. When I called back I got the same guy who I believe was a "secretary" he connected me back to the same guy who was rude to me. He refused to let me speak to a supervisor over him and said there was no one I could speak to about my debt. I told him i didnt want to talk to him about my debt I wanted to speak to him about how rude he was to me he finally transfered me to some other girl who was a case manager just like him. They told me if I got served the papers and signed that I would be in court for some type of breach in contract or something and that I would be paying about 3500 or my wages be garnished 25% each check. But if I didnt sign the papers and I voluntarily paid I would only be paying 115 dollars and I wouldn't be served papers. I couldn't find this company online anywhere.  I think its a scam. Most company's let debt just go to your credit report after that length of time. So idk I just think its fake and I will be reporting it.

Per the FDCPA, you should NOT pay any caller who refuses to MAIL you a debt validation letter showing that you owe a debt and they have the legal right to collect said debt.  Refusal to mail this DV letter within five days of the first call is a violation of federal law and you should not pay them.  Legitimate companies will have no problem mailing this to you, and they also will have no problem giving you their company name and physical address.  Please do report your caller to the FTC and your state's Attorney General.

Trying to collect payment electronically but will not give their address or license number
