Got a phone call from this frank fellow as well; he left a VM saying he was from "United Parcel Delivery" and that they had made 3 attempts to deliver a package to my address. I called the number back and got a VM that just said something along the lines of 'you've reached Frank, leave a message so we can deliver your package'. I hung up and "Frank" called right back, this time claiming he was from UPS and that they had a driver in my area that wanted to meet me. I said no way, no one has tried to deliver anything and I'm not expecting anything, so I'm suspicious. He said I should have gotten pink forms left on our porch that said a delivery was attempted, but the UPS is using temp. drivers and they're lazy, so I must not have gotten the form. Frank couldn't tell me anything about the package except that it was a box, not even who it was from, just a zip. He said he'd call me with more details about the package once he got it back to the distribution center in 3 days - I never heard back from him. I called the REAL UPS the same day Frank called me and they said it is NO WAY from them as they would have had a tracking number, never would have called for that in the first place, and they don't use pink forms, and to report it as a scam to the police, which I did. Got a letter from the DOL today saying that __United Process Services__ requested vehicle registration information on my car and what do you know, but it's the same 877-283-1432 number that Frank used. What a b*****d - I have no idea what this is about as I haven't broken the law, and am not in collections (I suspect it's related to a law suit my scummy x-roommate is involved re an accident that I "witnessed"), but why use these a-hole tactics to serve me with a notice to appear instead of just coming out and saying what it is - here I thought it was either some financial scam to steal my identify or my crazy ex-husband going to extremes trying to find me to finish me off. Regardless of why they're looking for you, they are shady liars and not credible, so watch out.
Correction to the above... 1st paragraph: intended to say that he said I COULD schedule a delivery time. Somehow the word "NOT" found its way in there. :-)
I received a Voicemail from a blocked number; "Frank" from "United Parcel". He stated that a delivery driver had made numerous attempts to deliver a package to me, and if I called this number I could not schedule a delivery time. Considering that I wasn't expecting anything to be delivered, and the fact that I had been home every day for the last week, this made no sense and decided to perform a number search.
After discovering other reports, I called the number, listened to a message from "Frank"about telling him when I would like my package delivered. I told "Frank" that I would go to the local UPS facility, and warned him that if no package was there for me, I would be calling the Washington State Attorney Generals office. The following morning I received another voicmail from "Frank", about a "call from this number about a package delivery", informing me that they don't do package delivery, and to "please remove them from my call list". What the...???
Seems I must have put the fear into "Frank", at least until he figures out his next scam.
"Frank"called and left a VM saying they had a package for the party at my address and to call back to arrage a convienent time to make a delivery. I have nothing ever sent to my place... scammers
I get a message on my answering machine that says it is UPS delivery. The caller ID says ANONYMOUS. But when I call UPS they don't know anything about it'
I received a hand written note on a piece of small lined paper stating to call this number regarding a package for people who have not ever lived here to my knowledge (I have been here 3 yrs)
Called claiming to be ups. Liar, filed a fraud report with ups and with washington state attorney general to investigate this jerk
