Just got back from a trip in which one night on the road I was trying to make a hotel reservation with Motel 6 and in a hurry.  I thought I was on the hotel site as it's logo was on the site as was the directions I clicked on the 800 number and I got the reservation but no email confirmation.  the hotel had our reservation and it was paid by expedia.  I asked what the walk in rate was and it was $25 lower that the amount I made it for on line. I stated I thought I was on the hotels sight but the desk clerk had no response.  The next day as we checked out I was handed the receipt paid by expedia to the hotel for the amount $25 less than my reservation.  The receipt was made out to expedia.  I called the 800 number from Travres and did get a customer rep. explained the situation and that I had the printed receipt she was upset and said I should not have been given that and that the hotel violated their  contract.  But immediately processed a $25 credit to my account.  Only after researching did I see all the problems.  This morning I called my credit card company and put an allert on my account for any out of country charges.  I Will be watching my account and may just decide to change my account number.

TRAVRES*HotelRsrva  is who booked my reservation through Expedia, however; I called the hotel I had booked thinking it was a scam, but they said I had a prepaid reservation from Expedia on the dates I needed.  I am part of a group staying at the hotel and was to receive a special rate and when I asked the operator from this TRAVRES*HotelRsrva  I was told I had the best rate.  After talking to a friend that had booked directly with the hotel I found that I had over paid around $50. I was trying to cancel my reservation and go direct and save the money, but Expedia says they have no record of my reservation. How can I cancel? I called the number and all I received was a bunch of bull, no one to talk to or any help. oh, I never received a confirmation either.

My credit card has been charged with US$1,436.20. I have never done this charge and I don't know what is this TRAVRES*TRAVEL business. This is a fraud. Banks should be aware of this type of fraudulent companies which operates all over the world. I have not been out of my country El Salvador for more than a year.... and I am not planning to be out of my coutry in the near future of a year. How is it possible to purchase a service that I am not intending to use? isn't this crazy?
Given that I don't live in USA, I ask all of you who have gone through this to expose this fraudulent company 'cause the charge was made through a PAYONEER service, which I don't know but seems to work as PAY PALL does.
It may be that PAYONEER is also a fraudulent business too.

Happy  anniversary.  Your complaint is with Expedia - next time consider booking directly with the hotel.  Third party bookers tend to mess up reservations since they have no idea what the hotel really has available.

Took my wife on a weekend trip our 45th anniversary she is in a wheelchair and blind only the weekend since she has dialysis on Friday and Monday I asked for a room with a roll in shower for her that is what she wanted I asked to make sure it has that was told yes not once but I asked 4 times just to make sure and the prices are different than I was told the hotel has no roll in showers and they were very nice and helpful and they said it looks like Expedia was the third party have not been able to verify that since it is impossible to correct this mistake I will make it my job to explain to anyone going through Expedia that would not be wise and always contact the hotel directly.

I just had a very similar experience. When I googled the hotel I wanted, this phone number came up in the website. I assumed that it was the hotels central reservation desk because they knew exactly what hotel chain I was calling for. I was told that I would receive an e-mail, that did not happen. I was also assured that if I called before a certain date to cancel I would receive a full refund. I did so, and was charged for a night. When I called them back they said they had no record of my call to cancel. When I asked why then did I get a partial refund, they started denying telling me I could get a full refund by a certain date. One lie after another, and no one there speaks English. I am reporting them to the hotel but I doubt they can do anything either.

Company goes by several names:

TSP Travel
EAN Travel US
Located in Bellevue, WA
if you book through several online travel agencies, the will often use this company.
Hotels.com, expedia, easytobook.com  often use this agency.
They get their payment up front, so best not to book too far in advance.

Our credit union alerted us to an attempt to charge our card for much more than our limit. It turns out to be these guys. We have not made any sorts of travel charges or reservations in months. Our credit union has refunded the small charges that did go through (probably just to see if it was a legitimate credit card), cancelled our cards, and is sending us new ones.

This is a mess. I didnt get a call but
Called a number from a site and reserved a room this morning and shortly after I needed to cancel I called a the number listed above and Can't talk to an individual and nothing recognizes my conf. # and I have got such a run around.   I cant seem to find the number i called in my dialed calls because i think it dialed directly from the site and didn't realize  I would be charged the entire amount and also didn't realize it was through some other outfit other than the hotel. I called the hotel and they told me I couldn't cancel through them and was told it was Expedia and after many calls and hang up I finally got someone that told me its not Expedia..what a screwed up mess.  I called the number back and finally got to an option of canceling and it told me to go to their website but the recording didn't tell me what  it was and said thank you and hung up. Talked to my credit card company again and they said after it post to my account...it's pending now for $478.93...they will file a dispute.  I am sure my credit card company will take this charge off eventually when it does post but I shouldn't have to be going through this. I feel like I need to cancel my card and have a new one issued.

This company robbed $1676.04 from my bank account. Called bank when I saw this charge which I have put a dispute in and will take 10 business days to return my money. Going to file charges if possible. How they got my debit card info is still a mystery. Not only did they almost wipe out my bank account I now have to go thru the hassle of changing all automatic payments that were linked with this account as bank immediately closed out debit card. They are THIEVES!!!

This company did not call me.

I booked a room  online for 2 nights at a Quality Inn in Wisconsin, Jan. 28-29, 2014. My Visa Credit Card showed their charges, $136.18. My Visa statement also showed a charge of $177.42 from this "company" TRAVRES*HotelRsrvation. That breaks down to $138.18 for the 2 rooms plus $41.34 in "taxes" for the grand total above. It is like paying for my 2 night's stay at Quality Inn twice plus the taxes. I have no idea where this TRAVRES comes into play. It is obvious, they are thieves making fraudulent charges! I am contacting my credit union tomorrow, Monday, Feb. 10 to dispute these charges by TRAVRES. Judging by the number of comments on this site, this has been an on-going fraud/scam for a very long time. Who will put a stop to it? It is a form of identity theft. This is no different than a phone company selling a land line phone number to another long-distance carrier resulting in having to pay twice for one long-distance call.

I did call the number shown on their web-site 2 different times with no results. Although the company is supposed to be based in the state of Washington, both people I talked with were foreign and it was difficult to understand them. They would not transfer me to someone without an accent.

As I said, I did book my reservations online. Thought it was through PriceLine, but could have been Expedia. Makes no difference as the end result is the same, I have been scammed. I will not pay these charges and will go to court if I have to. A class action suit would be a great way to put these thieves out of business or in jail.

To others out there looking to book a hotel room, do not go online, or you may get ripped off as well. Truly, PriceLine or Expedia should be fined and made to pay restitution for all the customers who have been scammed through their services!

We didn't get a phone call but there was a charge on our credit card.  Called the number and pressed option 6.  Didn't have to wait long.  We did have a reservation number on the charge and it was a valid reservation that we made.  We just didn't recognize the name.  My husband said he mad the reservation thru Expedia so it represented them I guess.

I  made a reservation through this service and when I showed up at the hotel, they had no record of my reservation and even called their service.  I called the number and they are no help.  They said that the reservation was made and would not call thehotel to verify that no one under my name stayed there.  So I guess I have to go to my CC company to dispute this... I have been traveling for 10 years now and never had this issue.  I am dealing directly with the hotels mow.
