Caller saying he was John Shapiro, lawyer, and that there was case against me, 10132 and that he needed to meet up with me with paperwork.  Very threatening.  What crap.  I said mail it to me, but did not give my address, as apparently they don't have the address.  What a bunch of morons.  Called the number back another time, answered SSGroup, dial extension if you know it, otherwise dial 0 for representative.  Promptly hung up.

These people are a joke. I left a rude message being that these people called my neighbor and now I have problems with my neighbor because she's dumb and thinks I gave them her phone number at which I've never had. I was transfered to a rude lady by the name of Amy. Would not give me an ID associated with her, would not give me a last name nothing.  These people are stating I have a payday loan that was never paid. I let them no I can not be prosecuted for something as such nor did I ever open up a load.  I was told that a process server was looking for me and I told them hey if you have my neighbors address you sure as hell have mine and of course AMY contradicts herself and tells me they don't they never called my neighbor or my dad or my ex husbands family which they did. AMY interrupted me would barely let me get a word in and when I did she no longer wanted to speak with me told me to have a good day and hung up on me lol. What I did let her know is that I do know my rights as a debtor and I tried stating them to her directly from the gov website and according to her I had no idea what I was talking about lol. She gave me the name of a supposed district attorney "carl Peddington". She refused to give me a number or an address for him.  

I called back, BTW the main lady talking telling you to put an ext in is the lady "AmY" that I spoke with. I got a man that then could not find my name in his database, did not know an Amy I think they all work together though). I told him Ive had work as being a process server an there was nothing at the office nor was there anything filed in court and there was absolutely no warrant.  So he told me he couldn't find me and that was that, This guy was a lot nicer than the mega b***h. He did try to get my SS # and I told him that I was not comfortable with that.

HEADS UP GUYS This place will try to scare you and when you're smarter than them AND you outsmart them they get pissed off and hang up on you. Piss them off, they're wrong for what they are doing.  I've had 3 people tell me information that they have told me and it is illegal to talk to those people with out my consent as to what they had told them

I received a message on my machine from a "John Shapiro" on 1/7/09 claiming that my wife had passed bad checks, encouraging me to "contact the plaintiff" with "case #10569" at that phone number.

I received a voicemail from "Mr. Williams"  on 9-1-10, who said that he had a "summons" for me and that he was advising me to return his call ASAP.  On 9-2-10 I received another voicemail from this person, advising me to call him back so that he could give me "some papers", including a subpeona.  He also said that when I called back, to give the case number "SSA_______".  When I did call back, the person I talked to said that he needed to meet me "somewhere" to give me some documents-so I wouldn't miss my court date!  I told him that I work in a prison with some very nasty individuals-some of whom may be locked up for meeting women "somewhere" and doing God knows what, and that he was totally insane if he thought I would meet a total stranger "somewhere" for ANY reason.  I told him that under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act he is required to send me written notification of intent to collect this debt, since SSA is a third-party collection agency.  HE REFUSED-he said that all he had to do was notify me by phone.  I said "OK, I'll take my chances in court-the judge is going to love how you have violated the FDCPA.  The FTC will also love it."
These people ARE BULLIES AND CROOKS, and need to be reported every time they try to intimidate people.

People, this is nothing more than a run-of-the-mill Collection Agency.  They tell you just enough "information" to scare you because they want to get you on the phone.  Getting you on the phone leaves you vulnerable to a REAL lawsuit because they want to tape record the conversation.  Notice, they'll NEVER send anything in the mail concerning what the matter is about or an amount due.

I've received about 4 or 5 messages from a John Shapiro saying he had some "documents" to serve and was going to be coming to my home or place of business.  I never called the number he left, and he never showed up.  He continued to leave me messages becoming ever more frustrated that I was not calling back.  Then, he gave up.  Nothing ever came of it.  My attitude is send me something in the mail.  I'm not calling this agency.

Yeah i've been getting a lot of calls too with the exact same message.. but they even knew where i work. thats crazy !!

they have been calling my sister and ex mother inlaw to try to get a hold of my other sister. They said there not a debt collector but something with filing a summons they are harrasing my sister and sge i already at a high risk pregnacy this is bull s***

Funny... I got a call today and they gave me the same case number.  They left a voice message telling all this legal crap.  It was my work phone and I work in a large plant so it is possible that the call was directed someone else with the same name as mine.  Anyhow, they gave this toll free number and case number as the previous post.  As far as I know where I live you have to be served a summons or whatever is called IN PERSON, not by phone, not by mail but IN PERSON.

I received a vm from this number, he said his name was Patrick O'sullivan, said he works for the plaintiffs who are suing me in court case #11329. Then, of course there's no details or nothing else. I work with attorneys who have advised me that in order for any plaintiff to sue anyone they have to serve in person a "complaint" whether it's limited or unlimited jurisdiction, otherwise this so called lawsuit (with a fake case number) it's just simply invalid.

John Shipiro left message that they were investigating a Mike Hagen and our name and number turned up in some legal documents.  He said if we wanted to find out what our envolment in this case is we are to call 877-286-0394.

I'm trying to find out because we recieved a call from them.  They made it sound like a legal matter.

Claimed to be lawyer, John Shapiro, that there was a case filed against me (of course couldn't tell me details) case # 10132-no county, state, etc.  Just a bunch of scare tactics. Well, I have a seriously ill partner at home and hearing these messages or picking up and hearing this crap is ridiculous.  She thinks I'm going to be arrested.  From what I've been told, something like this would have to be sent via the mail system.  Just yesterday, my partner talked to the guy, he asked her if she had given me the previous message, she said yes, then he proceeded to say well, that's what the judge wanted to hear.  WTF with these morons.  How do they get our home phone numbers?  GD Obama needs to crack down on this stuff and protect us from having to go thru all this junk. Now we will probably have to change our phone # which will cost US money, to have peace and quiet, for awhile at least until some more punks, morons, start calling again.  What a friggin' stupid world we live in now that people have to resort to scamming hard working people over the phone to make a buck for themselves. They're probably not even in this country or from this country.  I'm sick and tired of leeches preying on innocent people.
When I called number back, lady said SSGroup, if you know your party extension, dial now or press 0 for operator.  Just hung up with them, not going to waste my time.

Search number 877-547-0343 this same company has also given me the number here I belive they are fakes we have no summons filed in court just BS from some company probably trying to get money or rob you while your out meeting them.

I too have been contacted by this number and they left me a strange answering machine message.  Would be interested in finding out who it came from.
