Debt Collector
got a call from 877-289-9205 today stating that I owed money for an outstanding debt.  Got just a few details and told them I would call them back.  The guy stated that if I didnt pay today I would be served with papers and be charged with check fraud since my check was written from a closed account.  yeah right.  My account has always been the same.  Hung up.  Started looking around the net by the  phone number and the office of vincent cignarale.  Its a legitimate attorneys office and Viking Holdings Group was the name used.  They operate under his license.  This is one of those companies that buy loans and information for pennies on the dollar and find anything wrong with the account to form a civil suit against you.  Mine just happened to be a car payment for $348, and now with their $1000 Attorney fees came to $1348.
Went to the bank to look at payments made in 2006.  Took a few days to get the records, but when I got the records it showed a declined check from a bank of which the load was through.  My account was open and had sufficient funds to cover the routine payment.  I received no notification from my bank since I had sufficient funds and never heard from the bank the loan was through.  Paid off the car in 2007.  For whatever reason a side account had the outstanding debt owed of $348 that was linked to the loan.  The loan was sold when I contacted that bank and they had no information for me.  I was pissed!!!
Called back and asked a few more questions.  It lined up with the date I had and sure enough it was there.  So now I have to pay the $1348, but did negotiate a full payment of $1100 to be done with it.
Heres my suggestion to you all.  Dont ignore the calls, but do your research as best you can because it could be true.  If something doesnt line up get a Consumer Lawyer, but beware you might be out around $300-$500 or more for his fees, but he will get the documents in writing from who and debt owed.  If it does might as well pay it or negotiate a smaller amount.  Debt doesnt go away so please dont ignore it.  This one caught me off guard since the loan supposedly had been paid off and title was returned to me.

I receive this same call. Whoever this is, is calling me by my former last name (which I haven't went by in years) and calls my parents' home (where I moved from over 15 years ago). The latest call mentioned a lawyer by the name of Daniel Reinard....

I got a nasty VM from this office.  And it was actually for my Sister In-laws husband.  I have no idea how they got us.  We have had the same Phone# for 7 yrs, and we dont even have the same last name.
I called and left a message for them to remove me from their contacts IMMEDIATELY!

I work in Legal Compliance which audits FDCPA and what they are doing is illegal. If they call me again, I will be filing a formal complaint.

I am receiving these calls at my job and cell phone. Again, it states that I have an important matter that needs to be solved immediately from 716-213-6269 and that I am to call 877-289-9205 given a ref# and ext with name of a Law firm of Kristy Kittinger. When I called back i got nothing but more messages with instructions, never really speaking to anyone.  I turned it over to our legal services here at the job and it stopped but they still call my cell which I just hit the button everytime.

2 more calls, 28 May and 1 June. Same recording. Just an important message and call 877-289-9205.
I have not enjoyed any of this. I do not owe any money and I will not pay anybody's else debt. At least he has quit lying about all of the methods he said he has used to contact me. It is still a recording and then to an automated answering device. He must have a very large computer system. I bet he has his own server. I wonder if he is related to any of the spammers that are doing time now?

I just called back the number and had it taken off. I use to work in the telemarketing industry installing the computer systems that are used. IT IS ILLEGAL TO CALL A PERSON AND HANG UP OR CALL WITHOUT HAVING CALLER ID except if you are a non-profit or government agency. These are new laws that came into being back around 2004. However many companies still do not adhere to this. I informed this law firm but I am sure they will keep doing it.

Btw, talking about telephone and telemarketing, verizon sucks, too! They really do!

My 16 yo daughter received an automated call on her cell phone (which she has had for over two years) from someone looking for a Jeremy *something* (it was inaudible). I called the number back and got the voice mail system of a Vincent Cignarale law office. I don't know how they got my daughter's cell phone number, or why they would not have called before this if it were important, so we're ignoring it.

Repeat calls on 9, 16 and 21 June 2010. I know what "cease and desist" said, but what if I did that a year ago? What if I had already waited through the reverse automated return and then tried to correct their records? What if I had told them not to call? I thought whomever set up this web page was trying to get an accurate list of his harassment? What if from now on all I am going to do is make a record of this harassment? What if he has said that he has tried to contact me by various methods when the automated phone was the only way he actually did? What if monthly he now changes the recording (now a woman) but still leaves the same message, his name (Vincent Signorelli) and phone number (877-289-9205) with the same account number? If he calls more it will be listed more. Someday, when the right people do get ahold of his neck, they will have a good record of information to wring the blood out  of it? I know who I owe and what I owe, and to him nothing.

Same as everyone else.... from the law office of Vincent Signorelli (sp?)
The message, in a computer voice, spells out the name of the person they are looking for.  Today, I didn't pay attention to my caller ID (as I was expecting a call at that time) and happened to actually answer their call.
He said who they were looking for and asked me several times if I was her or knew her, etc.  I told him no and he said he'd remove my number.....  well, they've called back 3 more times today!!

Just got a call today July 16, 2010 and wanted me to call right away ext 324 . i AM NOT  calling them back as they apparently got my name and number and was harrassing my wife from other calls to this number and I am calling ATT and have our number changed.
She has gotten calls from bogus numbers and wanted to check out MR Russo. with a company that says he is the pay day loan place she got the loan from but not sure of it.   This is getting to the point where I felt threatened by these people and don't even want to answer the phone anymore

For Your information, These people are calling you because  you defaulted on a loan, most likely a payday loan!  Set up a payment plan, pay it in full and they will stop calling you. And yes, if you do not respond to them, they can and will sue you for the amount of the loan, plus court and lawyer fees!!!        PAY YOUR BILLS!!!!!!!

FYI, are you Vincent in drag? I have always paid my bills. I called that number well over a couple of years ago and when they asked for some one that has never existed at my home, I tried to correct their records. I then told them to stop calling. I have never defaulted on a thing. You have fired off a piece of a stupid junk that was never a fact. Vincent has just called again and there was another call last week. It has been going on once a week, buy an automated machined that has a random timer on its call generation. This greedy monster probably has a hundred poor suckers at a time on that machine. He has not accepted the correction so that is his fault.

FYI, just for your input. The name that was used was only 2 letters off from my dead daughter's name. Can that brainless spec of dust accept the fact that he bought up a debt from some one that had scammed some one else and used that name? I HAVE PAID my bills and I will NOT PAY some else's bill! That is for your INFORMATION!

I thought this was a scam, too. This Vincent Cignarale office called my cousin in Boise 4 times in a month. My cousin finally got back to me, so I called into this guy's office. I had a loan with advance america and this assistant gave me an account number. I mean, I have taken out multiple loans in the past, so I thought it was overlooked. I paid 200 to close out on what he said was a deal. This was last month. I was worrying that I got duped, but I got a receipt in the mail. they must be legit or something to hand out proof of payment...

I keep getting calls from this number. They have even called my ex-mother-in-law. They told her they were from a lawyers office of Vincent Signorelli. When I called them back and ask them to send me information they said that they had already done that and they would not send it again, so I then asked them for an address so that I could make payments to them they told me that they only take payments over the phone with a credit card or debit card. They refused to give me an address would not let me talk to this Vincent Signorelli guy. I am thinking it is a scam.

Thank you for this information and let me tell you that it did gave me a little peace of mind. I am going through credit card debt myself and those letters and phone calls are very bothersome. We can't even answer our phone without the fear of having the collector harrassing us anytime of the day.  Once again, thank you and i'll make sure i'll read up some more information about the Consumer Protection Law.  Please take care and my hopes and prayers for you and your family.

I got a bunch of calls from this number and I ignored them thinking it was a scam, and then I got served with a summons--- Vincent P. Cignarale really is an attorney in Buffalo NY and he was representing a creditor against me. I had to hire my own lawyer and it sounds like we're going to be able to settle this claim, but by the time it's done I'll have paid a couple thousand bucks-- all over a $300 payday loan I took out over 4 years ago!

Scott Brown also called me-he's apparently been promoted to "Senior Legal Representative" and is threatening to take me to court.  They even called the home phone of one of the Drs I work for.  I hope they are a law firm because they will have deeper pockets when I sue them!!!
