It calls me 4 times in two days. It doesn't leave a message and calls over and over

I just got a call from this number as well. It is Petwatch. It may seem like spam, but it isn't and please don't hate on the shelter/rescue. I was advised by the rescue I adopted from that they would be extending this offer, so I wasn't taken by surprise. I politely declined the insurance and that's the end of it. A lot of places will offer the free 30-day trial for insurance after adoption, and if you are the shelter or rescue, it is a good idea to get pet insurance on the minds of the adopters, even if they go with another company or decline it all together. Far too many pets are dumped at shelters (even high kill shelters) because people can't afford vet care. Be proud that you gave an animal a loving home, and if you don't need the insurance, be thankful you have the means to provide for your new pet. Not everyone can.

Yeah, it's 24 Hour PetWatch. Funny that they didn't leave any messages, but it's legit. Probably gonna go with them considering the health problems that can come with a dachshund.

Yes, I've received several calls in the past week from this number and I too have just adopted a dog from the shelter.

They called and didn't leave a message. After reading your posts, I realized what it was. I too adopted a beautiful, wonderful amazing cat this weekend. He came with a free month of pet insurance. THE ONLY WAY THESE PEOPLE WILL CALL YOU IS IF YOU CLICK ON THE LINK IN THE EMAIL YOU PROVIDED ACCEPTING THE 30 DAY FREE TRIAL. It specifically states that you agree to be contacted by them.

This is a telemarketer, or otherwise unwanted caller.

We just adopted a cat, so I'll back up that this was probably 24 Pet Watch.  FYI if you register the Pet ID Number the shelter gives you and go into your profile, you can uncheck the box at the bottom that says "Please check this box if you wish to be contacted with special offers from Pethealth Inc. and its subsidiaries."  Some people say that they "sold my number" which if they did there is nothing you can do, but you can uncheck it and see if that stops the calls.

Yup, just adopted a dog too and got an email from this pet insurance company and now they are calling me.  24 hour pet-watch or something like that.  

30 day free ins.  Doesn't hurt to activate it, just in case.  :)

24hour Pet Watch.  I just adopted a cat from the Humane Society.  They are very persistent and are sending way too many e-mails and irritating me with the numerous phone calls.

I started receiving calls from that number after I adopted a pet, and during the adaption, there was a sale pitch of the pet insurance.  So it does look like pet adaption agency sold my phone to pet insurance and now they are calling trying to sell insurance.

24 Petwatch...if you have adopted a rescue animal they do the 30 day of insurance for any shelter illnesses and also the microchip.  They are calling you to activate it and confirm info for chip.

I know it's Robocall/telemarketer/scumbag-random-dialer....because my # was issued 2 months ago....to this phone which is a business phone...which I've made a total of 6 calls on in 2 months.
got my first spam call yesterday, 2nd today. tells you a lot right there, don't it?

Like others, got a cat a week or 2 ago at a shelter along with all kinds of 24pet sales garbage at the time.

I actually told them to not share my information.. so much for that.

it is petwatch and they got my name and number because I adopted a shelter cat. If they called you I believe it is because you may have expressed interest in their product somewhere along the lines.

I didn't answer as I'm at work (although I am writing this) - but I did just adopt a cat on Saturday. Must be 24 Pet Watch!

This is from Petwatch. I adopted a beautiful dog from a shelter and she came with the option of a free 30 day pet insurance policy. Even though I just picked her up yesterday and I am not going to activate the free insurance, because these things never cancel correctly and you end up paying something, they have managed to call me already. At least I know why they are calling and when they call again I will let them know I do not want the insurance and that should be the end of that :)

I called them back and selected option 2.  Then ask for a supv.  I got  a "team leader" who apologized and took me off the call list... I hope we get good results!

That's not okay; it's not your cat's fault. :(

I was called with more than regular frequency from them after adopting my last rescue; I called them back, explained why I wasn't using them (I go through someone else for pet insurance) and they never called back.  The calls suck, yes, but it doesn't hurt to take a few second of your time to say no thanks instead of regretting a rescue.

Automated message from 24PetWatch.  I adopted a shelter cat and now I am being bombarded by phone calls and emails from this company.  It is making me regret this adoption.
