Great piece of information.  Classic Clear....they called AGAIN today, call was urgent and they put me on hold for 12 minutes.  I informed the lady on the phone that she was being recorded, that I owed Clear no money, in fact they owed me.  I asked they do not call me again or I will take this to the AG of our state.  I asked if she understood this.  She stated they could not receive RECORDED messages.  I tried to tell her she called me but she hung up.  I have tried for three years to work with Clear to make their system work to no avail.  Finally, I had enough and cancelled them with two months notice.  They have no clue how bad their system really is.

888-253-2794 - this is the number for their Care Department. Call them and give them your number, tell them that you keep receiving calls from 877-282-1467. Tell them you want to confirm that this is one of their numbers.

If it is, tell them that you insist that they stop calling you right now. That the person they are attempting to contact cannot be reached at your number and that you have told them this repeatedly, but you continue to get calls up to three times a day.


Also ask them for their mailing address. Once they give it to you (If they're a legit company, they have to), write a Cease and Desist letter. You can use the one below or something similar -

You, and your employees, agree to allow said information to be used against you in a court of law.

I further demand a copy of your ?written policy? for maintaining the ?do not call? list, as required by the Telephone Solicitation Act (?TSA?) and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA?). Federal Statutes impose a $500 fine against unwanted telephone solicitation. I do not want you to call me. If you call me, you agree to pay, on a for-hire basis, my telephone and equipment and time in answering your call at a rate of no less than $500 per call. I will only accept your written communication.

Be advised that I am not requesting a ?verification? that you have my mailing address; I am request a ?validation? (competent evidence that I have some contractual obligation to pay you).

The Federal Communication Commission can issue citations and fines against companies and individuals found in violation the FCC rules or TCPA guidelines.
Please govern yourself accordingly.

Keep a copy of this letter in a folder along with a notebook to keep record of dates and times that they call you. You can also record them if you have the means to. If they continue to call you, you can file harrassment charges against them. You can also file a complaint with the BBB, FTC and FCC.

Collection call from Clearwire, but I have a company phone through AT&T.  The message is for someone else.  i have told them a few times its the wrong person, i'm up to 3 calls a day from them, and dont know how to stop it.

Called me on my cellphone. No message left.

that is a call from Clear/Clearwire collections. it goes to a phone room in the philippines after you answer, it switches you to a philippino person.

I believe this is clear wire internet service!
