At 16, I assume there should be NOTHING on it. If there is, and it's not yours, you need to get to work on fixing it now, before you get to legal age. GC Services is a collection agency for Credit One credit card, which is part of Orchard Bank, GC services, calls from A LOT OF DIFFERENT NUMBERS.

No answer for first 20 seconds of call. Then a recording saying it was someone with some kind of marketing or promotion done through Google. I hung up before I heard the rest.

This number calls me 4-5 times from 7:30-9:00 AM and then again few times in the afternoon, and finally from 7:00-9:30 PM. What i am puzzled about is what happened to the Do Not Call registry?

what you do call them back like 100 times till they get tired. that's what I do and they stop. If we all do that then they will stop. PLEASE all call them back as soon as they call you!! nonstop like 20-30 times. And their system will crash. ....

Yes this number calls me numerous times a day.  Has anyone had them drop something off at your house and claim to turn you into collections?  How do I get them to stop!!!!

I got my first call from 1-877-292-2584 yesterday around noon; then today, since 8:40am (it's 4pm as I type this!), they've called 13 times and won't leave a message.  So I called the # back from my work phone, heard the lady answer saying "GC Services", and I hung up on them!  After reading your comments which seem to say much of the same (idiots, liars, fraud, etc.!), I'm just gonna try and block them.  I don't get it, my cell # is on the infamous "do not call" list; I guess they're in that "1%" that "may" still get through to you as per the FCC!  SMH.....

This GC Services are IDIOTS.  They call and call, you answer no one there, they hang up.
Do they really think if I had the money to pay in the first place that they would have the

I got a called from this number , looking for a Jose something , told them I just got this telephone number because I just moved from Florida, but they keep calling me, I told them multiple times wrong number but continue to call my house. This number just started calling me today and so far they've called 8 times, starting at 9 this morning.  Two calls in a row every hour.  I have a neat app for my iPhone, though, which puts anyone I want on a blacklist.  I've added them to my blacklist and now every time they call they'll just get a busy signal.  I love technology!

These must be the same dumbasses that claimed in 48 hours someone would show up at my work or my home to serve me for bounced checks.  I'm still waiting.

Yes, this number is from a collection agency.

These calls are generated by a computer which randomizes calls to your number between certain hours of the day (within legal time frames). When you answer the call it pins down the time that you answered and records it in the system (the computer assumes that this is the best time of day you are most likely to answer a call).

Once that answer time has been logged you will most likely keep getting calls around that window of time.

If this is a call from a collection agency the best thing for you to do is to send a letter in writing to your creditor and set up some sort of payment plan or explain your hardship. Ignoring calls will make matters worse and place you in ruin in the long run.

Keep in mind that these creditors work around the clock to intimidate you into paying what you should have paid in the first place. The best way to put a stop to it is to know your rights and tackle them before they start consuming your time and stress you out.

FIRST OF ALL... don't assume that the people they are calling are actually the people they are suppose to call.  Like me, they were trying to collect a debt from 1993 from someone in a state I have never lived in! AND, had a different name.
SECOND... I'm sure most people would like to pay and do pay their bills.  However, this economy sucks.  We went through our savings this year because my husband was laid off for 5 months.  Thankfully, we had a savings that took over 10 years to build up, some people don't have that emergency fund.  So stop making comments without knowing all the facts in each and every one of these cases!  I hope and pray you don't have to go through the stressors most are going through right now, but if you do, maybe you will understand.

We owe nothing to them, it was their choice to buy this contracts from banks. It is illegal to call the Debtor 20-30 times a day. If the receiver requests to calling to stop they MUST stop. It's the law. Even if you owe them money they have to take it to the curt not harrasing people.

2 years ago the same number was bothering so much I did the same you did, just in a better way. I was calling with some programs from the computer like 3-7 times an instance and when they answered the phone a very high pitch sound was heard on the other end. It srove them crazy, so the called me and said please stop and we will never call you again. They fought for at least a week till they gave up. they thought I was doing the calling ahahahaha. They didn't know it was an automatic calling. However they started again now and I have a better program..well guys technollogy is betterr now. I can call more than 20 times an instances. I can block all their lines so they can't call anybody for while it will cost them money that way.

1-800-727-5848 -- I received a bill from GC Services, P.O. Box 7820, Baldwin Park, CA 91706, in which they claimed that I owe $$$$$ from a so-called traffic violation way, way back in the 1990s. Then they started harrassment calls using 1-800-727-5848 under the guise of "Superior Court". A simple GOOGLE Search on "GC Services" and "1-800-727-5848" reveals that this company and the people that work for them are LIARS and have a track record of FRAUD. There needs to be a thorough legal investigation of this "GC Services" and "1-800-727-5848" by the appropriate authorities as this type of activity cannot continue by this fraudulent entity.
