Wow.  Another psychic, who somehow knows that all posters "stole" vehicles, and who has no reading comprehension at all.  Many have stated the calls were for someone else.  Actually, if the financial institutions - who the public bailed out - had done the "right thing" and reformed, the country would be in much better shape.  The banks - with THEIR THEFT - cost the public BILLIONS of dollars.  In other words, take a hike.

In honor of the return of Colorado, let me share my story in hopes it helps others. Two and a half years ago I got a call from some guy who used the title "investigator" as if he had some authority. he left a message that he had a file on me for my Toyota SUV and was prepared to send it to the LA County DA, as I was stealing the car....like the LA DA doesn't have enough real crime to deal with. I wanted to get it resolved, so I sent him the last 9 months of cancelled checks...showing payments, deposits by Toyota financial and clearance through my bank. Never heard from Investigator Bubs again. A month later, I got call from some hysterical, chain smoking woman. I sent her what I sent Bubs. She kept calling back, claiming Toyota knew nothing of the payments.....we got into a shouting match and she cursed at me. The next day I hired a consumer rights attorney. He fired off a demand letter to them and Toyota. Both ignored the letter so we filed suit at 30 days. Despite what Colorado says about debt collection issues, they DO have to follow FDCPA laws. By lying about the status of my account, they violated the law. They also called more than three times in several 24 hour periods...another FDCPA violation. The end result was this...a LA superior court judge ruled in my favor. Windsor had to pay $1k, (the max allowed for FDCPA violations), plus $3,500 to my attorney for his fees, (he had agreed to take it on a contingency because it was such a slam dunk case). Toyota, for their part, wanted no part of the mess Windsor created. In an out of court settlement, they ate the remaining 6 months of payments and turned over title of the car.

If you are in the right,there is a good chance windsormis in the wrong.  Do not take it lying down. Any decent consumer rights will take it on a contingency or a small fee.

This Windsor Group, or whoever they are, called me five times today, four times in two minutes. They also called my son to try to get info. about me. Thankfully, he gave them none. They are very rude and are insane if they think all people are stupid and will give them their social security number just because they ask for it! This was very upsetting to me. I ignored three calls in a row, then finally answered and yelled that this was harrassment and to never call me again. They finally stopped.

You openly post that people are thieves, I'd like to see the evidence of this slander, which justifies harassing calls to other people that Might only have some passing encounter with someone else.   Go after your alleged thieves all you want, but don't expect other citizens to spy for you or do your work for you.   I will contact the TX attny gen and complain about the Windsor group.

I got a call from Windsor Equity several times asking if I knew a certain person a William Fields. I told them no and this british woman said ok. then I get a call again on the same person last week. the number they called me from this time was 469-484-5750.I asked her what is the Windsor company and she hurried me off the phone and hung up. They called me on my landline and cellular phone.

If you "google"  the "Wiindsor Group" it will come up as a job and professional coaching for jobs website.  I wonder if they know that this scam is happening using their identification. Yes, I received a call from 877-295-7376 ext 1187.  However on my phone's caller i.d. the number came up as 214-647-3580,  I looked that up through "reverse phone" on the White Pages and that showed as Winsor Equity Group. I followed that lead to these reviews.  Yes, they also may have an FID number for the person they call about. All sounds very legal but, should they appear on your caller i.d., just don't answer.  I stupidly called back before knowing they were illigetimate, thinking they were calling about a job situation which my son is involved in. God knows how they get all this info. Beware!

Well, I see everyone who has stolen a vehicle and refused to return it are still on here crying the blues. What a pity.

I don't work for Windsor anymore. A simple parting of the minds, as it were. However, my stance hasn't changed. While I realize the economy has damaged a lot of people it does not excuse what, to me, is theft. Plain and simple.

I was raised to honor my word and to pay what obligations I willingly undertook. Sometimes things don't work out right and we cannot honor our word BUT I would not consider TAKING and KEEPING the property I agreed to pay for. If I default I return the property. Simple.

Most of you on here crying and whining have taken someone else's property and kept it despite knowing it is not the right thing to do. Then, you make it a game to hide the property from the rightful owner.

What a shame. I hope that one day congress wakes up and realizes that this theft costs the public BILLIONS of dollars. I hope they criminalize this act so we can hunt you down like the thieves you are and put you where you belong.

How do i get them to stop calling???

called and said it was imperative that I call them back as soon as possible. The caller presented herself as a lawyer calling on behalf of a client. When I returned the call a British sounding woman answered say this is the Windsor Group and if you know your party's number dial it now. I dialed the number and got a recording. Told them I had no idea what they were talking about. The names/numbers they gave meant nothing to me and since she had called me, if it was so important, she had my number. Since I have seen this other information about this number I will not be returning any further calls or answering any calls from unknown numbers.

I receive calls from this company for someone else and they keep calling here anyway. I want them to stop calling me!

Windsor called yesterday, and we played phone tag for a while. Spoke with Ms. Johnson today about a car my idiot brother-in-law has stopped paying on. It was all very pleasant, very professional...she simply asked me to get in touch with my b-i-l to tell him that he needs to get in contact with her. She said that her company doesn't collect debt or repossess; they're simply hired to locate the person with the property. It's up the lien holder to decide where to go from there.

HOW DARE YOUR COMPANY & COWORKER AT EXT 1160, CALL MY HOME ASKING THE WHERABOUTS OF SOME MAN I'VE NEVER HEARD OF AND DEMANDING THAT I CALL THEM BACK.  I'M NOT CALLING YOU BACK BECAUSE MY TIME IS VALUABLE AND WILL NOT BE WASTED TALKING WITH YOU.  EVEN IF I DID KNOW THE MAN, I STILL WOULDN'T CALL YOU AND CERTAINLY WOULDN'T HELP YOU FIND HIM.  YOU WILL ALWAYS GET THE ANSWERING MACHINE SO DO YOUR JOB AND LEAVE ME THE HELL ALONE!!!

1 month behind?  Really?  You were one simple month behind in that time you lender had repossession proceedings initiated, decided they couldn't find your or you car, hired this company, they located you, and then they gave your info to another party?  Sure.........

I have been getting calls for my wife's first husband.  I am her fourth. I have no responsibility here, nor does my wife.  We are not thieves.

This company is a SCAM. How I know because I know some people who actually worked for this POS company and when we realized what going on the "OWNER" let them go. The Owners of this "company" Name is Jason Bradley and his wife Debra Ryhba- Bradley. He uses several companies including ROSEN and Keller, Goldstein and A**, Friedman and A** and Persolvo Group. There actual adress is 30 E Adams St Chicago IL 60603 Suite 201 the number is [removed]. They use illegal tactics to collect debts report them if they call you.

Brent Mitchell of The Windsor group called my home 6:00 am on a Wednesday morning, he left a message for my husband and I using our first names as if he  knows us. The message was urgent, and to called him using the reference # that was  left. He talked so fast I had to listen to the message several  times. When I called him back to find out what business this was (since no company name was used) a recording with a heavy accent was on the line, she talked fast as well and I was unable to understand.  i left no message but Brent Mitchell called me back later in  the day he asked for the reference number I asked why I have a reference number when I don't know who you are, why you are calling and I don't have any business with you. Brent was arrogant, rude, demanding, harsh and very secretive about the reason for calling, . My thing is if you call me for information about someone I don't know, then you should be able to answer my questions, how you got my number?, why are you calling? what's your business? and at least apologize for calling 6:00 am especially when you don't know if you have the right party. Just because people have the same last name does not mean that we know the other person. These people are goggling folks with the same last name in  hopes they contact the right family member with no regard for the other person.  Well in the end I didn't know the person in question. You have no reason to ever contact me again, find a new approach.

Well i have been in the collection business for 7 years and i never once didnt follow FDCPA laws i believe in being honest if the debtor has intentions of paying they will but they should not be harrassed. I myself filed with my attorney a complaint against Windsor Equity they did misrepresent when they contacted me stating they were an investigator and then asked me to make arrangements for payment. I gave name and number of my attorney not to mention i gave correct address as to where the vehicle was at and i never hid it. There was plenty opportunity to come pick the vehicle up i didnt care because i was filing chapter 7 and i was getting a new car anyway the car was starting to give me issues anyway. Windsor needs better training you wont get money or answers cursing and lying to people but my attorney is very good and because of Windors Illegal actions i will be getting a big fat check..ha ha so thank you. I love to sue..so keep calling and harrassing. :)

The woman that has continually called me hasn't said why but it is regarding my SIL. Asking for phone numbers, addresses, etc! She is rude and demanding and thinks I am going to release any info without my SIL's knowledge!! Once I get her on the actual phone again I will be telling her never to call me again. This needs to be stopped!! It is unbelievable that in today's day and age, with tracking police telephone devices, this small illegal company is still getting away with this!!

This is such a SPAM company. They left a bizarre message at my parent's house, an address that I haven't lived at in awhile, and proceeded to inquire about individuals I had never heard of. I would not answer if you get anything from this #.

That is funny because after hearing from you guys last month, I went back to the bank and they agreed to ditch your sorry butts if I could commit to payments again.....so what you say is false.

When they started calling me last month they pretended to be investigators and said they were turning my file over to the DA's office......yeah right....like the DA does not have bigger fish to fry.

This company calls my family and in-laws and my work place and demands to speak with me.  I call back and NEVER get through to the person who calls. These calls are happening at least twice a day. Please help.

I just received a call from this Windsor Group office-- asking if I was (my own first and last name) and was I a neighbor of Mr. and Mrs. C------??.  Unaccustomed to such a precise kind of call from someone who not only seemed to know ME, but MY NEIGHBOR(!) as well, I answered, "yes...??"  
    The woman gave me the number 877-295-7376 with her extension as #1160, and told me that, "It was VERY IMPORTANT that Mr. and Mrs. C.....be reached BEFORE 5:00 today!!  "Because", she said, "we have been unable to reach them by phone to help prevent the " termination of their very valued business at 5:00 tomorrow"!!
    Completely duped with the element of surprise, I wrote down her message, got my cane (I have difficulty walking) and made my way up to my neighbor's house.  
    My neighbor was completely baffled at this information!!   I then said to her, "I'm so sorry....maybe this is a scam of some sort??!  I'll "Google" this number for you and see what I can find out!"
    Now, what disturbs me most is that I was fooled about the urgency and purpose for this call! Because the woman at the Windsor Group stated my name, and my neighbors' first and last names, their address, (as well as the fact that they were my neighbors), I stupidly thought, "My goodness, this must really be urgent; I'd better let Mr. and Mrs. C. know about this right away!!"  
    I am a senior citizen, handicapped with walking ability, (without a car this afternoon) and my neighbor is 1/4 mile away-- uphill-- on our gravel road.  I feel (right now) very stupid, and angry,  but compelled to let others know how CONVINCING this company was!!

getting calls saying they are a "location Firm".........great now debt collectors have a new term because they know you won't return a call from a debt collector.   I do not owe anyone any money....in fact if have 8 clients that owe me money......they are calling about a debt from an ex-spouse from 15 years ago.........why am i getting harrassed over their money mismanagement.....

dear windsor employee....i have someone from your company looking for an ex spouse.....now.......we have not been married for over 15 years..........my new spouse does not appreciate the calls..........how would you like it if i called you repeatedly about an ex-spouse or ex-lover and their financial mishaps.....do you want me to keep calling you.......?   well why are you calling me?  this is why we get frustrated.  why are you calling people who have nothing to do with this debt...........I PAY MY DEBTS why do i need to be harrassed by your company that has nothing to do with me.
