Chances are, your old debt was time-barred and you paid someone that is not even the original creditor and bought your debt for pennies on the dollar....

Got two calls...in rapid succession...a few minutes ago.  Since it was a toll-free number and I don't answer those things, I simply hit the 'answer' button and then the red 'hang up' button...in rapid succession...on my phone both times they called.  Didn't give 'em a chance to leave a voicemail message (and waste my minutes in the process).  Then I got on the Internet and looked up the number.  I don't care how many times they ~ or any other toll-free number, for that matter ~ call me, I'll go through the same simple procedure.  Works every time! :)

These people (identified by voicemail as "Global Credit and Collections") let me a message threatening about an urgent matter. They had for sure my name but I asked them to tell me the whole name of the person they were trying to reach, then the lady said "We will not give you that information".

OK, I said then I would like you to send me the information to my home address. OK, Sir. She said we will send you a letter, she hanged. She was rude to say the less.

I kepp getting daily calls from this company for a person who doesn't live with me.  It is a the bounds of harrassment. I want it stopped.

I, too, get calls from them at work, and have told them repeatedly to stop contacting me by phone. So this time, the guy says "I'll put you down as a refusal to pay then."  That's not what I said.  Asked for his supervisor, who said "We have contacted you by mail and you don't call us, so you're refusing to pay."  Again, stop calling me. ........if I weren't going through an impossibly messy divorce where my STBX is refusing to pay for marital debts he helped create, perhaps this would be taken care of already, but I'm not about to tell THEM that.  Cretins.

Turns out this is Global Credit--a collection agency that works for Citicard Mastercard.  They are legitimately a collection agency, it seems, and too bad Citicard didn't mail me a statement and avoided the collection agency.  The charge may be fraud but they don't have records back to tell us without going into archives that take 2 weeks.  Yet they could turn it over to a collection agency but can't tell us what the charge was for.  Interesting.........

A line of BS - "I'm calling about an application sent in.  This is not a sales call or anything like that.  Call me back at 877-295-9643 ext xxxx  today and I'll help you out with it"

I received several calls for somebody else from this number. When I called back, I found out
that it was a collection agency called Global Credit & Collection. I found there website

told me that they would remove my phone number from their files, and they did.

I have received these same messages two days in a row now.  Talking about calling early in the am.  They were calling for a name I am familiar with but one has passed 23 years ago and his son (my brother) has not lived at this house for almost 20 years.  Why would they be calling now and the lady who answered would not say what/why for it is a personal matter.  Don't screw with me you freaking company

I received several calls from these guys..
When I called back to find out what these guys wanted,
I was told that I had an old credit card bill that I never paid.
When I looked into it, it turns out that they were right (oops!).  
I was able to settle my account for half the amount owing.

Some dude called and said they were pressing charges. It was time sensitive and that it would be in my best interest to call them back because I wasn't in compliance. When I did, they said it had to do with a debt. I asked what debt and they wanted me to give them the last 4 digits of my SSN. Like hell! Who are these people? When I asked why they threatened criminal charges and played the message back, the guy tells me he never said "criminal" and that charges could mean a civil suit.

A holes. I reported them to the FTC.

I received the same strange message on my answering machine; the next day, it was followed by a call from a real person asking for my brother.  He said he was from "Global," wanted to talk to him about a "personal and confidential" matter, and asked if I knew how to get in touch with him.  I assume that my brother listed my number as a contact when he applied for a credit card or loan or something.  At the moment, I'm only slightly annoyed at the agency, but I'm furious with my brother.

some of us "deadbeats" are great people who have paid their bills well before the due date, gave more than the minimum payment and still interest rates went up to 18% and more.  just couldn't do it anymore.  bankruptcy is no fun to do and i care that i have damaged my credit.  some of us do care but have no choice but to go bankrupt

get the same message as all of you.  no one ever tells you their name or company name and never ask to speak to certain person.  i happen to have had no choice (i am no deadbeat!) but to file for bankruptcy back in july 2010.  received my discharge papers a few weeks ago.  why would these idiots try collecting from me now when my bankruptcy has been approved an now done?  all of my credit has been discharged, they should not even be  contacting me, that is if it is for me.

if you paid your bills that dead beat collection agency wouldnt have to call you..

Caller I'd reads "jenna taylor" with number 603-952-4683. This is global spooking their number. Real dead beat collection agency!

hey i reseached this Global Credit place and learned that they are not debt buyers and citibank themselves forward their collections to them.

does any one know the correct address for the 877-295-9643 caller? If so please put it on the cite

i got the same call. however the voicemail said they were looking for someone with a different last name than mine. same type of voicemail, time senstive matter, escalated to GC Corp, must return call to a 800 number. ...

I get a call from 905 at least 3 times a week. the person left her phone number, 877-295-9643 and ext# 8150. I don't thank the person or the company from 905 is never tired to call people.

I got a phone call from a person named Oshton Moussou with the same number.  She said she is from GC corp but did say that she was looking for me on the VM.  I don't owe any money and don't understand why they keep calling.  the number came on my caller ID as 905.  Did anyone else get that?
She leaves me messages that it is a time sensitive matter and the personal details must be discussed before she investigates on her own.

These are just a bunch of egotistical bill collectors trying to scare you by imitating lawyers in giving such time sensitive ("48 hours") & importance & concise matter verbiage claiming to have full authority to "handle this matter". I beleive they are just bill collectors who bought these deadbeat lists for one penny on the dollar trying to make a quick killing!

I have the same problem, but they are calling to my Job, I don't know how they find the number THIS IS HARASSMENT!!!!!!!!!!

It would be in our best interest to call back and get the matter settled-
we did  not return call. - This is harassment.
