Got the message on June 1, 2012 that I was the winner of one of the runner up prizes for the $50,000 give away from Direct Buy. Don't remember entering any contest like this. Same person as everyone else if referring to: Claire. I will not be returning this call as it is too good to be true.

I received a call from "claire" 2 days in a row on my house phone, same wording as everyone else. Unfortunately, I called back and left a message at the 877-296-3020 number, leaving my name and an alternative number. (stupid!) I should have investigated more first. Hopefully, nothing bad will come of this. Bottom line is usually if you truely won a contest, they notify you in writing, not via phone. I hope someone stops these people.

Just got the message today. Funny thing was we were praying about getting a car just recently so my wife got a lttle excited. Claire...answer to prayer? No! Same words "definitely in top four, recent entry in last 18 months at one of 300 locations. We did enter a Menards car give away last year...but i thought i would check and here we are regurgitating this mess to help others not get their hopes up. Peace!

Got same call today December 8th, 2011 on CA. I was at home, and when I heard the message i picked up the phone, i tried to interrupt her, but guess what, it was CLAIRE recorded message!!
I called back and left her a message, and tried again, she answered the phone. Then while checking my number in her slow system (as she said), the call somehow disconnected... and was never able to call again.

I just got a call on December 8th, 2011 around 4:30pm.  Same number, same person, same call back number.  Come on, are you kidding me.  I went here first and her script is exact as all the ones above.   I am one of 4 winners of a contest I may have filled out as much as 18 months ago.  Call back at the 877 number.......Claire fool me once shame on you,  (which didn't happen)  fool us twice shame on me!!!!!

Claire hasn't changed her story one iota.... Just got the call today, in CA, December 2011.

Hobart, IN is notorious for this, we get about 5 calls a week from there!

I got a call from claire Reynolds I think this is a scam too but not sure.

Just got it today. Midwest here. I think they want to know if your number is real so they can sell it off to other scammers. They will get a list of caller IDs and know which ones are real.

This is similar to the "if you send this to 10 people" emails and they get a read receipt. Them they know you and everyone you send it to is real and get their emails.

Try not to call back!

...and don't send me those emails :)

11/28/11 -- I received a call too from 877-296-3020 - I am not calling - I never filled out a form to win a car - The caller was also Clare -

Just got the same call.  Called the 877 number and it is not in service.  Called the 219 number and it just hangs up on you.  Thanks so much for all the info on "Claire"!

Just got the same message from CLaire.  Caller ID said Sweepstakes GRoup and the number is same #219-940-9235 and she wants to be called back at the same number 877-296-3020.  So glad for the internet!  SCAMMER!!

Got the call from Claire Reynolds. I called back to yell at her and she hung up on me...I then called back and left multiple voicemail messages...  The number on caller ID shows up as Jillian Minton in Hobart, IN 219-940-3759, so apparently there's some cloning going on. I called that number and it's a fax machine.

She's hitting the Midwest, too!  Yippee!  Maybe we will all meet on our FREE vacations.

Apparently the East Coast calls weren't getting "Claire" anywhere, so she has moved West with her calls.  Guess she hasn't heard of the Internet - we don't communicate by Pony Express anymore.  Thanks for all the posts!

Me, too. I am one of the lucky 4! Obviously, Claire really can't count. I called her back and left her a message that I was all excited that I was "one of the four". Hope someone calls me back so I can see how long this can be drawn out. Can you say S-C-A-M!!?

Yep....I got the call just a few minutes ago......gosh...she needs to learn what the #4 means!!!

I received this call (left a message) too, on September 2, 2011 at 9:30am. Female caller with the exact same message as previous posts ... sweepstakes entry that could have been entered up to 18 months ago, blah blah blah, assuring me it is NOT a sales call...

Just got that call and I am also a finalist! It seems to be a scam because we all have the same message but has anyone called yet?

This company called three times left message each time:
"Congratulations! You are one of seven finalists in a contest you entered...as far a eight months ago...I urge you to call - this is not a sales call...etc.....call 877-940-3759 - to claim your prize"

Oh forgot to mention that everyone gets the vacation because the locations you get to stay are all at resorts that are trying to sell people this way or hotels owned by the people trying to sell the other resort.

Well maybe not owned, but room nights bought REAL cheap on private deals.
Same with the airfares....

They ALL come with restrictions.
