Called left message saying it was urgent that me or who ever was representing me call them back immediently but did not say why or what for.

I think they are a collection agency acting like they are lawyers.

Someone called from an Iowa number and said it was ergant. They leeft a call back number and i called it they gave me no answers as to what it was about.

Left a message saying it was very important that I call them back but not other info as to why I should.

This CRA company has called a few times over the last 6 months LooKing for me . I have told them unless they can give more info. then its not worth my time. Oh I also said then take me to court . They have called when I am at work and very early in the morning. Anyone that can not telling why they are calling is not worth my time. If it is so important , like she said on the first message I got , then they should be happy to tell you what its about .

I looked it up and sure enough they can report you for unreported income from what I understand..  but got to pay your bills anyway and not blog as to why or how they cannot collect on debts...  NO STATUTE ON TAX FILINGS

I received a call from Joseph Coleman from CRA Associates. Left a VM on my work # stating he had some paper work for a very urgent matter. They attempted to mail but was returned to them. Requested c/b at 877-296-3875. So I called wondering who the hell would leave such a vague urgent message. Woman answered the phone and said they were attempting to collect on an old CC (this was from '99). I advised I wasn't and couldn't pay so to stop contacting me. She threatened that if I didn't make payment she would report me to the IRS for accepting money and not paying for it, thus making me ineligible for future student loans (could see I'm in college from viewing my credit report). I told her I gotta go and hung up. This company is grasping at what ever they can to collect on very old debts. If you get a call, tell them they can eat it!

These people called about a credit card previously settled with a different company thats over 8 years old. They threatened to report me to the IRS for unreported income! PLEASE DO!!! thanks!  They also called before threatening to send the cops to my house!

I just receive a call from this company -They had my name and new cell number said I needed to contact them Immediately -When I called the number back from a landline the person that answered the telephone only answered with there first name and did not say what company they represented?
Where did they get my information?
Hell will freeze over before I call them back and give them any personal information and I would advise anyone else to do the same.

I received a call from a polite lady saying she was going to transefer me to an attorney who needed to speak to me before persuing a legal matter. Of course I hung up. They previouly called the person I rented from and my mother in law to get my cell number. They call around with anyone with the same last name like relatives in other cities and leaving messages. They basically hunt you down. I am leary about talking to the representative.

A woman named Elizabeth Garner w/a  southern accent left a VM on my cell, saying she had an urgent matter to discuss with me, to have my attny call.  I called number back, said they knew who Elizabeth Garner was but transferred me to a man who was very rude, when asked what CRA stood for, he said something like well we have your number, it is just a courtesy call, obviously you have a legal matter pending.   (no I do not!)  The he said Good luck and hung up on me!

THEY ARE VERY RUDE...AND HOSTILE WHEN I TOLD THEM ABOUT SEEING THE COMMENTS ON THIS WEB PAGE.THE THINGS THEY REFERED TO ARE OVER 15YRS OLD  AND SHE HAD THE NERVE TO TELL ME I WAS A WAIST OF TIME. SHE SAID THAT YOUR COMMENTS WERE BECAUSE THEY HAD FOUND YOU, AND YOU WERE ALL JUST MAD. WHO THE HELL ARE THEY TO SAY WHAT OTHER PEOPLE ARE THINKING. ARE THEY HOSTILE BECAUSE THEY HAVE BEEN FOUND OUT? I WOULD LOVE TO GET THEM OUT OF BUSINESS!!

The same here. These people called me and left a message saying they needed to speak with me about some paperwork they received and that it was urgent. The lady only said her name and did not say what company she was from. She left the number "877-296-3875" and said I needed to call her back or whomever was representing me. That was a red flag to me because I am in no situation for anyone to represent me. I called back and did not give my real name and asked what company this represented, the guy was reluctant to give information and said that the company was CRA but could not state what the company represented. He said he was a legal representative and did I have a file with them? I said no and hung up the phone.

what are the rules on calling and leaving messages to #s other than my own? These people called me today on my Cell, she should not give me any info other than say I need to be transferred to her boss and gave me a file #. Once transferred, I was on hold for a representative. I hung up, then they called my last job and they passed me the message.
How do I get them to stop? She won't tell me the nature of the call, she says she doesnt know why i need to speak to her boss.

Left a message for a "Susan Ingle" (wrong number anyway) : "This message is for Susan Ingle.  This is "Mrs. Johnson". Susan, I need to speak to you as soon as possible, I've got some very urgent information that I need to make you aware of.  At this point I don't know if you know what is going on, extremely urgent please contact me immediately at 877-296-3875, 877-296-3875.  I do need to speak to you immediately." Hang-up.

Sounds VERY serious and urgent.  I almost called the number to say they had the wrong number since it sounded so serious....but the 877 made me check it out.

these people called my home wanting to reach my sister.  they had her name. they left a message to have me call them about my sister.  when I called, they did not identify themselves. they answered the phone with "hello, this is Lindsey".  they said they wanted to reach my sister.  and I said "if you have my name/number, then you have HER name/number".  They told me to have HER attorney call them or it would be turned over to the COUNTY....and hung up in my face.  I called back...and got a male instead of a female.  Still no forthcoming info.  But they said it was having to do with the IRS, they knew my sister was getting government benefit...she is disabled....and they said she had been reported for some kind of violation.  they couldn't tell me what because she had not provided release for them to talk to me.  and I said "well you got my name and number...it HAD to come from her".  they hung up in my face.

Beware of these people, they are scam artists.  They fact that they give vague information and are reluctant to answer any questions about themselves are big red flags.  DO NOT give them any information, even if they already seem to know it.

Girl called from CRA and left message also mentioned my wife's nick name claimed it's urgent and need to call back before 6:30PM at 877-296-3875.
