Beyond annoying, snarky telemarketing creep. Do not answer this number.

this guy is so beyond annoying. i literally have no idea how he received EVERYONE's first & last name, but its beyond annoying. They call ATLEAST once every. single. day & ask for all 3 people.. I always tell him no one is available. today I informed him that we dont accept sales calls & he got really snarky saying "ummm im not a sales call!".. he can obviously hear the frustration in my voice. I asked to be taken off the call list and he refused!! isnt that illegal?????!!??! Next time im going to simply ask to be taken off the call list, if he refuses ill ask for his supervisor. GET A REAL JOB LOSERS!! NOT CALLING BUSINESS WITH NUMBERS OUT OF THE PHONE BOOK. Any idiot could do that. a flipping semi-intelligent chimpanzee could do that job. good gravy!!

Caller was Very professional. I agreed to a 15 minute consultation with an AMEX specialist. It seems pretty harmless and you will absolutly make their day if you say yes to their no-obligation consultation. I could tell the caller was doing summersaults of joy after I agreed to the consultation and he couldn't stop thanking me. I figured they were just doing their job so what harm would it be to honor the social contract and help them out.

I screen every call.  But as I am very careful with information released even phone numbers!  I *67 and called this number back while I had the person on hold and asked for their extension and they did pick up the recording at 8772977717 states that it is American Express and when you Google a number FYI and it directs you to a website such as americanexpress.com or google.com customer service then that is saying the search engine found that number embeded within that site and it is verified attached to THAT COMPANY.  Now it may or MAY NOT be a SALES CALL.  Just saying it is American Express.  Thanks and good luck with the rest of the scammers out there!!

These persistent butt-wipes called our company again today, this time at 1056 hrs.  When I saw the 877 number and the listing as "Unavailable" I knew it wasn't anyone we do business with so I picked up the phone without saying anything.  There was some background noise but no one said anything, and neither did I.  After a couple moments, they disconnected... but I'm SURE they'll try, try again.

Our company received a call from this number very late this afternoon.  The recorder picked up and went through its message.  There were a couple of tones as if the person on the other end, for some strange reason, was punching in a three or four digit number, and then they hung up.  Maybe the caller thought he could magically bypass our recorder?  Good luck with that.  We're a tiny company so we don't have sophisticated electronics.  If it is American Express, that means this is the second call in about as many weeks, even though I've told them in the past that we're not interested.  In about 15 years I've been with this company, I remember only one or two people asking if we take American Express, and I think the second person might have been someone from American Express.

Having a caller ID on our corporate computer program, we've finally taken a corporate extension, that telemarketers are forwarded to. It says "we have identified your number as a telemarketer. YOU need to take our name off your database, or you can sit there every time you call and have your time wasted, as you seek to waste ours." Maybe this will work. Maybe others can follow. Our database shows nearly FOUR HUNDRED telemarketing callers. Maybe we can reduce their calls!

Called to verify info claiming to be from American Express. Do not give out any info to this scammer. Claims to be verifying a purchase of an iPhone 3.

This guy wont stop calling our business. Told him multiple times not interested.

It is American Express and they called a coworker who gave them my name.  I am not taking the call and they keep trying.  Please give up already.  I already sent you packing once and I'm not inviting you back.

They called me three times in a row this morning.
No one was there; music played and then disconnected.
I blocked this number.

Corporate "telepest" using American Express Corporate Services as a means to get to higher level management to sell multiple programs

Two messages have been left for the controller to call this number.  The second one said it's not about credit cards.  Something like a financial solution package.

Asked for President by first name, as if he knows him, which he doesn't.  When I said he wasn't available and would he like to leave a message, he said yes.  When I informed him the President didn't have VM and he would need to leave the message with me, he informed me "it's too complicated, I will  need to call back", as if I were stupid and unable to take a message.

American Express Corporate Services.  Guy was looking to understand our business, and whether it made sense to get some information about their programs.  I guess maybe it might be a sales call, but really he wanted to understand our company.  When it didn't sound like a good fit, he thanked me for my time.

No message on my work phone.  let's see if he calls back.  408 area code.

A man calling on this number asked for someone with the same name as a close relative of mine who does not live with me. I did not ask what it was regarding.

Caller by the name of Paul Vacho asked for our CEO and when told he wasn't available insisted I let him know the best time to call to reach him. Like I know when my company owner comes and goes; he's busy. When asked he wouldn't say what the call was regarding so right then I knew it was a cold call.  Checked here and found the number was from American Express.

Yes, this is American Express for sure.  I talked to the guy for a while, at least he was professional. I've worked with AMEX in the past and they were very good to me, but yes, this is definitely a sale call.

That's so funny I do the exact same thing here at work.  I google the phone number while they're on hold and will just leave them on hold till the idiot figures out I'm not transfering them to anyone.

It's a cold-caller from American Express Corporate Services.  They called my company's customer service line, asking for a VP in the company.  Obviously if they had business WITH this person, they wouldnt be calling a customer service number, but would have called that person or their office directly.

Some guy left message of just laughing and hung up.

I hung up on him, because I KNEW he was a telemarketer, and he kept calling back... i ignored it, of course :) SUPER ANNOYING

Just called here...there was a delay so I put them on hold about 7 minutes ago...and they are still on hold...lol.   I will leave it there until it disappears.

This Creep left the same basically the same message for me on my work-phone.  I think it is some scam to steal people credit card numbers.
