Looks like these folks started using this number now.

There are complaints about them all over the internet for harassing people that do not owe the debt, threatening to arrest people for a debt, telling people the only way they'll stop calling is to pay "court costs" on an alleged suit they filed, etc.  According to some of the MANY complaint pages and numbers they've called using, it seems they call about debts that are 5-10 years old, don't care if they were paid or not because they want money.  There are people who have fallen for this, and stated that they paid, and are STILL waiting on getting the documentation of the debt from them.  Of course, their story is that they sent it out ... yeah, right.
What's laughable is one page on their website that says they follow the law during collection attempts.  OBVIOUSLY, NOT!  THEY have an F rating with the FL BBB (see below).

By the way, it would seem to me that, IF you had a bad debt, it would show on your credit report (if still eligible to be reported).  IF you do have a bad debt on your credit report, you might want to consult an attorney and/or the original creditor, rather than these folks who obviously could care less about the law.  [I am NOT an attorney, nor do I profess to be one.  I am NOT dispensing ?legal advice,? simply giving my opinion!]

IF they were calling about a legitimate debt, they would NOT be calling to see if you'll be home all day on certain day to "deliver legal documents" or "subpeona."  A legit collector CANNOT discuss your bill with anyone else OR threaten to arrest you and/or send you to debtor's prison, etc.

SUGGESTIONS (again, I am NOT an attorney and am NOT attempting to dispense legal advice.  These are my PERSONAL suggestions)
1-IF you decide to answer one of their MANY calls from about 50 different telephone numbers (no, I?m not exaggerating), give them NO INFORMATION.  In fact, YOU MAKE THEM ANSWER QUESTIONS, and if they don?t, hang up on them!   I don?t know anything about spoofing/masking numbers, but there have been comments that they are VOIP?ing the majority of the numbers they?re calling from.  I do not doubt this, as a person said the number showing on her phone was that of the local police department.
2-Keep a running log of the date, time, telephone number, person calling and note of conversation to file with your complaints.  (Or, try to record the call, BUT they usually hang up when they?re told they?re being recorded.  ROFLOL, now how many LEGITIMATE collection agencies would do that?  NONE that I?ve ever heard!
3-Look up your state?s Statute of Limitations on debts that can be pursued in court (that you can still be sued for).  It seems to vary from 3-15years.
4-DO NOT allow them to intimidate or frighten you.  These idiots have even called the numbers attorneys, police officers, etc. with this scam.  Intelligent, they are NOT.  

USUAL PLOYS:
1-call friends, neighbors, relatives, employers, and you trying to intimidate you into paying JUST to make the calls stop (but, from looking online, they don?t stop?they just demand more). ? Ask these folks to also keep a log of the calls, give them this internet page to check.  Ask them to do a search for ANY of these company names.  They?ll soon realize it that these people are nothing but SCAMMERS.
2-??have important legal documents (or summons) to deliver, will you be home ---(day) from 8:30 to 4:30 to accept it??
3-?There?s a warrant out for your arrest UNLESS you send us $xxx TODAY?  -- they seem to prefer asking for the ?Green Dot? prepaid card and want you to call back with the numbers on back ? harder to trace where to $ goes, apparently.

1-IF you decide to answer one of their MANY calls from about 50 different telephone numbers (no, I?m not exaggerating), give them NO INFORMATION.  In fact, YOU MAKE THEM ANSWER QUESTIONS, and if they don?t, hang up on them!   I don?t know anything about spoofing/masking numbers, but there have been comments that they are VOIP?ing the majority of the numbers they?re calling from.  I do not doubt this, as a person said the number showing on her phone was that of the local police department.
2-Keep a running log of the date, time, telephone number, person calling and note of conversation to file with your complaints.  (Or, try to record the call, BUT they usually hang up when they?re told they?re being recorded.  ROFLOL, now how many LEGITIMATE collection agencies would do that?  NONE that I?ve ever heard!
3-Look up your state?s Statute of Limitations on debts that can be pursued in court (that you can still be sued for).  It seems to vary from 3-15years.
4-DO NOT allow them to intimidate or frighten you.  These idiots have even called the numbers attorneys, police officers, etc. with this scam.  Intelligent, they are NOT.  

USUAL PLOYS:
1-call friends, neighbors, relatives, employers, and you trying to intimidate you into paying JUST to make the calls stop (but, from looking online, they don?t stop?they just demand more). ? Ask these folks to also keep a log of the calls, give them this internet page to check.  Ask them to do a search for ANY of these company names.  They?ll soon realize it that these people are nothing but SCAMMERS.
2-??have important legal documents (or summons) to deliver, will you be home ---(day) from 8:30 to 4:30 to accept it??
3-?There?s a warrant out for your arrest UNLESS you send us $xxx TODAY?  -- they seem to prefer asking for the ?Green Dot? prepaid card and want you to call back with the numbers on back ? harder to trace where to $ goes, apparently.

I got a call from this number at my work and they claimed that they would serve me papers at my home. I spoke with a man named Jason (although that's probably a alias). When I asked for a company name and number he didn't know how to answer and he said he didn't know the phone number! Also, as far as I know to be served anything in Massachusetts you have to operate out of MA. When I looked up the "company name" they gave me it came up as a resort type establishment in Orlando, Florida.

Actually it was likely Telus International, a company outside the USA that Dell hires to handle the low level customer service issues and debt collections. Dell has a automatic phone calling system that once your number is in it, you get called (as often as possable) till either the number is removed or the debt is paid.

I don't even own a Dell computer and they call me non-stop at my WORK PHONE. It is extremely annoying because they keep leaving a voice mail with NO MESSAGE. How do I stop this?

I do not know who is calling they are calling my deadacated Fax line number which has always been a fax line for seven years, I know it is not a person calling but a machine cause the fax pick up and gives it tone for 15 sec and if no replay it send it to the voice box and this caller is staying on the line throu the fax machine but when it goes to the voice box there is never any message left. And like other here I do not have a Dell Computers I have 5 Emachines and none of them are with any account of Dell's....

Called my cell twice today first at 8:30 am. Let it go to voicemail, but they didn't leave a message.

male called and i coulnt understand him. had him repeat several times what company, still couldnt understand him. i asked him what he wanted, he wanted me to verify my mailing address, i said you called me you have it. he then asked for the last 4 of my ssn. i told him no. he would not help me, told me to call back. i hung up on him.

I have been getting calls from 877-298-0939.  No one ans. just hangs up. get these calls 4-5 times a day.

This number calls me twice a day ever since I got my new work phone number. Not sure how they got it in the first place. They never leave a message. When I try to call them I get someone from india. recently started prank calling them daily bc of the aggravation they have been causing. Did an arnold sound board last night and it was hilarious! google it and give it a try!

They called twice today b4 10:00am!! I called them back gave them my telephone numbers since I dont have an account and they have no record of my numbers! Asked the guy to have my numbers removed from their database and he said he couldn't so I asked for a supervisor..... The supervisor "Amy" came on the line I explained the situation and she said she would flag my number..... WE"LL SEEEEEEEE.....

Outbound dunning call behavior is about to change now the the new Federal Agency Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is up an operating.  I reported one company's dunning number and they shut them down from calling me, ever.  In the works is a regulation that requires the calling part to clearly identify who they are, no more unavailable or unknown permitted on the caller ID.

twice today! never owned a Dell. Never will!!!

Just started a new mobile contract and got a fancy new phone and a different phone number. Never had a Dell computer in my life. I get called by this number at least once a day. They hang up before my phone goes to voicemail, never leave a message, and drive me bloody nuts. It makes me wish I still had my old phone; that one had a reject list.

I have been getting these calls on my cell phone---Dell Financial has my home # not my cell and my payments are not late---no message left--

Theses people call me 5-6 timesa day although no one live here by the name of the person they are looking for. I have asked them over 6 times to remove me... They still call me!

These scum are threatening my elderly parent. My sis and I called to tell them to stop under the FCRA. They told my mom they could take her car which is not TRUE! That crosses the legal line and we will be filing a complaint with FCRA. They will owe my parents a fee much more than they owe.

I received two calls from each of these numbers: 877-298-0939 and 866-897-8171

I then went to Dell Financial's web page, customer service at:

I filled their little short form out, not giving much info and used one of their numbers for the phone contact (not my own). This is my message to them:

Why are we getting daily phone calls from your company? I answer and there is no one on the other line, even when I wait, they hang up. If you have people working for you that are trying to get credit for making solicitation calls, you are getting ripped off. Numbers calling here today: 2 each 877-298-0939 and 866-897-8171. These seem to be robo calls.

If we all did this, maybe it would annoy them enough to quit bugging us!

BTW, we don't owe then anything. They seem to randomly call. So, in this case it has nothing to do with not making payments!

Called twice this morning, no one on the line. if it's Dell Financial, I will spread the word.

These phone number comes through at least ten times a day, from early AM to LATE PM.  I do not answer
and they don't leave a message.  This has been going on for two months!  They call on the average of
every 60 minutes from 6:30 AM to 10:00 AM, then it starts again around 5:30 PM until 11:00 PM.  
I don't understand why they cannot be stopped!

These people are terrible.  I was late on my payment.  Missed it.  It happens from time to time.  Anyway, they started calling 3 days ago.  2 days ago, I looked up the number online and saw it was Dell, so I logged in and paid up to current.  Simple.  Except they keep calling.  I tell the clearly Indian gentleman that I already paid online.  

"Let me ask you this, sir.  I understand that you have made a payment online.  Can I get you to schedule another payment by November 16th over the phone?"

This is what outsourcing support gets you.  These guys are way too concerned about being able to complete a payment "for" Dell.  Extremely unprofessional.  This will be the last time I use Dell Financial.

I keep calling them back and allow them to answer, I dont way a single word. ALL DAY LONG

I don't even have DELL and they call me!

I have been called by them on my house phone, my cell phone, my husbands phone and my daughters phone. I am tired of this.

This is indeed Dell Financial Services. I called them myself. They asked me to make a payment that was 2 days past due. (oops on my part) They were professional. The asked me for my social security number. I didn't want to give it to them. I didn't give it to them and they said "no problem we can use other ways to verify your identity.  SO, it's a legit call, and don't give out your social.  Have a nice day folks!

Continuous calls for days, caller just hangs up and never speaks

I keep getting calls from this number and have every intention of paying my bill, just had to pay it a little late this month.  They call constantly and never leave a message.  They call when I'm at work and I can't answer my cell phone.

I am behind my Bill due to my financial situation and I have made the company aware but the calls keep coming multiple time a day from as early as 6.30am until as late as 11.00pm.
