Individuals call repetitively and have been told the person they are attempting to reach is not known at the number they are calling.  Tia was the last individual that called and made direct threats.  Was informed to cease and desist calling our number since the individuals they are looking for are not known.  Stated she will remove the number called.  Continues to call anyway.  Loser company and employees.

I started recieving phone calls from a bill collector from this collection agency Creditors Financial Group I finally picked up the phone after a few days of calls The agent did help me out and set me up on a payment plan for a past due Bank of America account I had.  These people were actually nicer then dealing with the Bank themselves.  they also did make me aware my BofA account no longer occured interest or fees since it has been in collections which was a relief since rip off Capital One continues to hit me with 24.99% interest So over this agency helped me out!

But since he's my ex-husband for a reason, I haven't spoken to him in years nor do I have any idea how to contact him - so stop calling my cell phone looking for him!  I actually answered the phone once when they called and told them the above and they said they'd update their records. Nope - I still get at least one or two calls every day which go straight to voicemail (and my last name it no longer the same as his - you'd think they'd get a clue!).

They are a debt collection agency that does not like to send receipt of payments or put anything in writing, they want to do everything verbally, which is not good AND they like to get account info over phone putting the debtor at risk, so beware

i have been called several times by these knuckleheads about a card that was paid off two years ago I have not not will I ever again possess or use  bank of america card,i wonder what is wrong with these people did they not get enough of our blood with the multi billion dollar bailout.Maybe if they looked at their own books and stopped selling non existant debt to an unethical debt collector they would not have needed the bailout

If they can't figure out how to contact the people that wish to speak to, or harass, then perhaps they should find another line of work that doesn seem to be so difficult for them.

They keep doing this "as a business tactic" hoping that you will pay the debt.
I imagine a percentage of people fall for for this tactic. Best bet is never answer their calls, if you have a caller ID system. Only correspond in writing and send a copy to your lawyer.

I have been recieving phone calls and voice messages from this company.  I finally decided to call first thing this morning.  I knew I had an MBNA outstanding balance for a business account I had a while back.  I didnt know FIA card services or Bank of America aquired MBNA.  The balance was around 1200 but the rep I worked with was polite and respectful I was offered a settlment which he allowed me to do in 3 payments.  I did have him fax me letter in writting bc I did read previous comments on this page.  Google can be a great tool!   But I was a business a owner in past and I know how positive expierence feedback can make an employees difference.  Just reading over all these comments it looks like this company use to have a bad past because their was consistant updates on this page.  But a little positive feedback can go a long way.  Thank you to my rep and Creditors Financial Group for helping me finally settle and resolve my MBNA or I should say FIA business account.

They have violated every law in the book sometimes in a single call. The FTC has several complaints on them, and in Texas were found liable in court and had fines imposed on them by a court. AND THEY STILL DO AS THEY PLEASE, WHY?????

Well, I answered the call and person said she was from Bank of America and basically told me to pay my bill.  I don't owe Bank of America ANY money, nor any other bank for that matter.  I called Bank of America and they told me the call was a SCAM.  IF they were legitimate, they'd come up on my caller ID as the name of their company instead of unknown caller.

This company has been calling and calling even after I have requested to not be called. I spoke with a Ron Ottman, who was very excited to raise his voice and try to throw the power trip on me. He wanted my financial information to work out a payment plan and an agreement which I did not do. They cannot call my place of business can they? I can get terminated.

James, I hope they provided you with some specifics (BofA account #, balance, etc) before you told them your address and DOB.  In addition, did you get anything in writing stating it was a "settlement" before you "set up checks" with them as you put it.  The big banks don't put regulations on what these collectors can tell the consumers, out government does.  Unfortunately MANY collection agencies do not comply.    I hope everything works out for you with these guys but some advice?  Do not give personal information over the phone ever and if anyone is offering a settlement please get it in writing before giving them any money.  I came here because I received 4 calls in one day looking for someone I have never heard of.  They left messages on my answering machine and the first message they said ?If you are not XYZ, please hang up now? which alone may still violate the FDCPA.  I hope things work out for you; you may want to call back and get everything confirmed in writing before you make any additional payments.

I have recently recieved numerous phone calls from this company.  The number showed up on my caller ID 2x yesterday and 3x today I decided to throw it in Google like everyone else does I am assuming.  I read all of these comments than decided to go ahead and call the company.  They asked me to verify my mailing address and birth date I at first would not do it till they than stated they were calling about my Bank of America account.  I went ahead and spoke to a male named Michael he was professional sounding he treated me as if he was an actual teller at the Bank.  I ended up setting up checks with him and he saved me quite a bit of money in what was called a settlement.  I am sure these big banks have put regulations on what these "collectors" can say to us consumers.  Over all I was satisfied with my rep at this agency.
