I also got a call from 877-298-5234 Ext. 354 a guy name RUWI he said is going to help me with my citizenship application and that he wants me to pay US$189.00 WITH MY CREDIT CARD. I FOUND THIS KIND OF ODD so I did not give him my credit card number...WHAT CAN WE DO IN ORDER TO STOP THIS SCAM.

Got a call from a lady claiming to be from the immigration office asking me to give her my money over the phone. And she said not to pay online but through her which i found to be very odd, anyway i type the number she call me and just found out that some people had similar problem with this scam. Thank the LORD i did not give this woman my hard earned money.

I've got the same call from them and they've told me the ext was 321 so the are using those three digits to make up extensions, I've called the gov place and they've told me that is not a valid number for them I am going to headquarters to report them tomorrow

I had the same situation.  They called  me back and wanted to give me a discount to renew my green card.  Wanted my credit card right away. When does the government give you a discount.  I thought it strange.  When I called back they said it was not a government office.

yeah yeah !!! I got this scam too, they asked my address and other stuffs, but when they started to ask my credit card information, i declined!!!

I got the same call, but when I called it did say it was the immigration department.  I don't know what to do. Thank you anyway for your comment.  It allow me to be careful.

I have been receiving calls from 877-298-5234, wanting me to apply for my US citizenship to pay $189 they already had all my information such as name, address not sure if they had my SS card. I told them I had to consult with my husband because I was not sure of this, before any transaction are made they said to call back later, I did not call they called back again I did not answer because my husband said it's probably a fraud because immigration usually does not call the home. We call the number and it refers you to the extension , I did get a live person Name: Sasha ext. 360.

They tried calling back at 415- 946-4083 call was coming from San Francisco, California, then they blocked the number a little to late which will read +41 59 464 08 3, she left a message representing the US immigration dept.

It sounded like a telemarketing place in  the background.

This happens to be a SCAM

i was trying the online processing for naturalization of uscis but did notmake payments yet. then maybe after an hour got a call from a certain KEVIN with the caller id # 415 946 4092, claiming that he is from uscis and that i could male the payment on the phone asking for my debit/credit card #. I found it suspicious so i did not give him any info and told him that i will give him a call back and he gave me this # 8772985234 ext.312. thank God for His wisdom. when i google his number, i found out that it was a scam.

I was in the process of filing for US citizenship when I realized that "immigrationdirect.com" is a scam when I had to add my Credit card info.So I declined.
I then got called by a number: (855)627-0942 but did not pick up. They left me no message.
Shortly after the phone call, I received an email from support@immigrationdirect.com ( yes, they must have gotten my email address somehow:( ...

...with the following message:

"I tried calling you today and left you a message in regards to your id-uscitizenship application. I would like to discuss your options for preparing the id-uscitizenship and ensuring that you do so without any errors. Remember that all submissions of applications with errors to the USCIS will be rejected which will cost you time and additional filing fees. I can ensure that you prepare and submit your paperwork accurately the first time, without the help of any lawyers.

Please call me back at your earliest convenience so that we can discuss this further.

It's obviously a scam because USCIS, according to their website (http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis) only accepts checks or money orders.

I got a call from this number stating that they were from immigration and that I needed to pay 149.00 dollars to get the application for my green card submitted and then I would need to pay another 450.00.

I got a call from a guy name Peter from this number 877 298 5234. He said that he is from Immigration and that I need to deposit $142.00 to start processing my PR card renewal. he has ask to pay  money online. He said that I need to cal back but when I did, I got nowhere. I believed that it is a scam  I am pursuing this matter with the police.

same thing happened to me a while ago and she is Asian, it is the 3rd time i talk to the same women trying to scam and get money from me.

I got called from a local area code and was e-mailed, then suggested to call that number. When I called back the local number. It was an automated message on a  more convenient debt collecting agency.
