So tired of continually receiving these same unwanted phone calls!

For each and every unwanted call, please report at both Federal Communications Commission (FCC) websites.

I get those annoying calls too. I have many times asked them to stop calling but it makes no difference. So now I keep an emergency signal horn (the compressed air type that sounds like a foghorn) by my phone.  You can buy them in the sporting goods section of Wal-Mart. I press 1 to speak to the live operator and then blast the thing into the phone receiver.  Perhaps if I blow out a few of their earndrums they will stop calling.I know it works because I heard one operator screaming about her ear after I did it.

Calling 4 or 5 times a day here lately.  Don't know who it is so I don't answer.  The number the are calling is for family emergencies only so everytime it rings, I immediately fear something is wrong....then when I do answer before I check caller ID, no one is there.... Please make them stop!!!

Received calls from this number month after month; several time a days! It is a scam offering to lower your credit card rate.  The latest call I received I pressed the button to lower my credit rate. The girl I spoke to had an english accent. I decided to play along with her and told her I wanted to lower my rate. I was asked if my rate was lower 10 percent. I replied: no and she immediately hung up without replying.  I called the FTC and was asked a series of questions. Apparently it worked because I haven't received a call from these scammers in 2 months!  DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY INFO!!! THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS!

I've reported them twice on the complaints section of the Do Not Call registry website.  I think I will get a whistle and blow it loudly into their ear next time they call -- or one of those loud self-defense sirens.

When I received this call, I spoke to a person who said they were from Card Services.  I told her that I was on the Do Not Call List and she hung up on me.

Call the FTC. Or go to the web site www.FTC.gov and report them. They will not stop unless we all do something about it.

This is a response to Claire. Thank you for the information on the phone number for the FTC. I just called and I was told they have gone after them in the past and it looks like they are back to their old tricks. Please everyone take a minute to call the FTC and it is painless and the more complaints the better and faster it will be dealt with. Good Luck to all and have a Happy Holiday.
The number to call again is 877-382-4357. They will also give you a file number so you can see what is being done.

This number constantly is calling our home and either hanging up or saying "this is your final and last call" - If only it was!  I pushed #1 and a gal came on and asked me if I was wanting to know about lower rates, when I said "no, I am calling to" and she hung up on me-what B---H!

Got the Robo call today, pressed one, asked what account they're referencing, and the call was terminated immediately.  I suggest everyone receiving these calls and viewing this complaint get on the national DNC list and register.  Did me no good, as I've been registered for years, however if you're already registered, file a complaint as I just did.  My state has one too and I've filed complaints online with both state and federal.  The federal site for registry and complaints is here:  http://www.donotcall.gov/

Y'all might as well give up on the "I'm on the Do Not Call" registry.  I am too, and it is worthless.  In the case of this number, it is beyond worthless, because these calls are being orignated by the largest private bank in Canada.  They don't really have to worry about regulation from our government, if there was, in fact, such a thing.

Support the Occupy movement.  These are not "dirty hippies".  They are people just like you who can't find a decent job, and who are tired of living in a country that is being run for the benefit of giant corporations.  These calls are a very good practical example of how you and I get abused on a daily basis by business.  They have no respect because they have no fear.

I too get calls from this number and many others that keep changing a  on regular basis.  I don't answer anything I don't know anymore.  Too many scammers with too much time on their hands.  I have Comcast and I can go into my account and block the numbers from getting through. It works until they change to a new set of numbers and then I have to go back in and put the new ones in.  They never leave a message and that is the huge clue.  So if you have this feature use it as it helps for awhile.  Then you get some relief.

Press 1 and talk to the person. Have fun with them, they certainly have the time. Try these:
? "How can I help you today?"
? "You're calling to lower your interest rate? Let me start by getting your credit card number."
? "You're caller number ten, what's the answer to the trivia question?"
? "(repeat their name)? I'm calling from the Ellen Degeneres Show about a letter you sent us..."
? "Dominos Pizza, may I have your order?"
? "I'm calling from your child's school/daycare and you need to come here right away."
? "Hello. You're calling to order the Snuggie / Wonder Mop / Viagra?
? "I'm calling on behalf of the HR Department to help you with anger management issues."
You get the idea. Now have fun. Let us know what you found that works best.

I just a call from someone saying this is your final notice for a final stimulus??
What ever that means! I have sign up twice now with the No-Call List, but it seems it does'nt
do any good!! I think every time you buy something off the Internet, these idiots are getting
your Phone #no. After reading other peoples complaints, there seems, like there is nothing
anybody can do.

Chris, good advice. The auto warranty robo-callers finally got popped when someone played along, and the telepest inadvertently stated which company name would show on the credit card. GOTCHA!

If everyone follows your [not so] sage advice, no one will ever learn who the perpetrators really are. Why don't you read up on how the auto warranty robo-call scam was broken up - but I'll save you the tine 'n trouble - a responsible citizen feigned interest after getting 10+ "your warranty is expiring" calls, played along, finally got someone to say what name would show up on their credit casrd - then he reported real info, not a spoofed number. Of course we can all roll over and the problem won't end. Think!!

I think the only way to stop these guys is to answer the call and keep them on the line as long as you have time for without giving them any information.  Make them actually spend time so it isn't worth their effort.  Or give them fake info to make them spend even more time figuring out the bogus data.

I have been getting calls from this number almost daily for 2-3 weeks. Today was the worst-4 calls from 9:00am to the current one at 2:27pm. I waited on the line to talk to someone and she hung up on me when I said I wanted off their call list. I tried to call back but when you do the line is quite and if you wait long enough the recording of your call didn't go threw comes on. Went to the "Do Not Call List" page and made a complaint

Left a message on my machine about lowering interest rates blah blah blah.   They say it's there last call too.  Well maybe the idiots calling don't realize that they've been saying that since I starting getting their calls months ago.  Keep your promise and make it your last call!
