They scamed me on 11_18-13. For 750 dollars didnt find out until i got a actual call from the real agency. Fileing a police report today. What can be done any suggestions

I was contacted by a Ms. Long in regards to a previous payday loan that was past due. Thankfully, my wife scoped out the number on line and found all these posts. Unfortunitly, it was a little to late and i had already agreed to a repayment plan. I immediatly filed a transaction dispute with my bank and cancelled my card so no further withdrawls could be made. In addition, i contacted all those faimly members they contacted to notfy them of it being a scam. Still working through the transaction dispute and hoping it all works out in the end. All i can suggest is to continuisly press to have them send you verification of the loan to a home mailing address. Thats where i fell short, after they ratteled off mutiple types of personal info to include the last four of my social. They also called from a 877 224-4212, so please watch out!!!

BE EXTREMELY LEERY of anyone calling you from the Law office of Russell Richardson. I called the 877 299 1175 number back to see why they needed my immediate response. Well no one answered. I called about 5 times and left a message as to why they called me. I was shocked...I NEVER have anything unresolved. So I looked up Russell Richardson phone number and called him. I found his direct number of 720 913 6010. I was skeptical and asked him if this was legit? He smooth talked and tried to sound professional as to calm my nerves. He even said he would look into it and call me back. He called me back, but by by then I told him I believed this to be a scam and that I would report this to the COLORADO supreme court. He again try to smooth things over and said that them calling me was a big mistake and that he would not have them call me again. He was trying to cover up. Told me a bunch of crap about phone lines being down and the 877 office leaving early. COMPLETE SCAM!!!!!!!!!! Russell Richardson sounded believable at first, BUT DO NOT BELIEVE HIM! TOTAL SCAM!!!!!

They keep on calling but never leave a message. I assume they hear the name on the recording, and it is not the person they were trying to call. I have them sent straight to voicemail, so the calls are not much of a concern.

1/29/14, Wednesday caller from 877-299-1175 left message.  "This is Rich Morgan law office for DSC & Associates extension 103 doc No 46563.

I have no idea why I am getting a call like this.  I re-dialed the 877 299 1175 and was directed to leave a message for Russell Richardson.

I got a voicemail yesterday from this number,

"Hi this is Miss Garcia calling from the law office of, uhh, DFC and associates, if you could please return my phone call upon receipt of this message, the number is 877-299-1175 ext. 101, please reference #XXXXX."

She called at 6:15 pm, of course it is a scam when they call as you are getting dinner ready! It's weird that the company she said she worked for is a different "law firm" than others mentioned, and she took a pause before saying the name of the company. I did not call back. If they call again I will probably answer just to make sure it is a scam and not something important, but it doesn't seem like it is based on the responses on this site. Also, nothing related to lawyers comes up when I google "DFC and associates".

Called me in FL looking to reach my nephew who lives in RI -- said they used same database as local law enforcement to find my cell phone number.  Ha.  I said "well, FL and RI are not local to each other".  They also called my mother looking for the same nephew.  Gave me a case number and an extension 102 to call back.  

Just got a call from this number.  They left a message ( I don't answer unknown numbers anymore) and the lady's message was simply "This is xxxxxx with Davis Rogers & Associates calling about an urgent matter. Please call us back at 877-299-1175 and you can reach my direct extension at 101.  Please reference docket number xxxxxxxx when calling."    
Never asked for anyone by name...first sign that it's bogus.  Hang up on these a-holes.

They called my Mom, dad and uncle telling them I needed to call back within the hour. I knew it was a scam cause they did the same thing about a year ago. Told them to send me my file and did't get it. Told them last night that I was reporting them. Called today to get more information and it's either a busy tone or it says this number has been disconnected. It was a ms long and funny that the lady answering the phone was the same voice as ms long.

A lady called asking for someone I never heard of and then  they were given this number as a contact to pass along a message. I did not know the name of the person they were looking for or the contact. When I tried to ask how they got my number and who they were she kept telling me they were looking for this man I never heard of or knew and that he had provided this number and contact and then hung up - strange call

Called my cell phone number at 8:16 this morning claiming to be from the Law Office of Russel Richardson extension 103.  Name given was Vince Morgan reference to case no. 46244.  Will not call back.

I got a call on my cell phone said they were looking for a return call from my daughter or the lawyer would make a decision without her. I let her know then Googled it and found this. They said it was from Russell Richardson Law Office. and call back Miss Becker at Ext. 102. My daughter had called and they said they were trying to secure paiment on a credit card that her ex husband had years ago. She hung up.

Two of my sisters received a phone call from this supposed Law office requesting that they contact me and have me call them immediately. I knew that I had no outstanding debts but called just to see what this was all about. The person that I got on the phone was Destiny Perez and she said that the file had already gone to court, so I requested her to provide me with some information regarding the debt and she said she had little information "which right there alerted me it was a scam" every law office keeps an in house record of all cases. She then asked me to verify the last 4 of my social which I informed her i would not if she could not provide me any information regarding the date. At that point she tried to get me to confirm that some bogus debt was mine because i refused to confirm the last 4 o m social and i stated I do not assume any debt and do not confirm any ssn information and hung up.

These predators prey on people being afraid of anything negative going on their credit report and the elderly are more apt to providing information over the phone to resolve debts. Please inform anyone you know and care about not to provide any information to these scammers.

They contacted my brother, my brother's wife, my mother, and my wife on 1-7-14. I called them to ask who they were and they told me they were with Russell Richardson's law office. They referenced a debt I had in 2008, that has since been resolved. They told my wife that a decision will be made today, but if I was set up on a payment plan, I can resolve it with the law office. DO NOT GIVE ANY INFORMATION TO THEM, and obtain all the info you can from them. You will quickly see this is a SCAM. I got called again today by a different gentleman. I told him what I read ON THIS WEBSITE, he claimed it was false. I told him to send something to me in the mail that's certified and verifies. He said he would email it. I said no, must be mail. He got very irritated and gave a passive aggressive insult to me and told me they will MAKE A DECISION TODAY. Crock... of... sh+t.

My parents got a call from this number and said someone named "Ms. Olson" left a message sounding "very serious" and they had called me to relay the info. I attempted to call the # (877-299-1175 x105) but received only a voicemail mailbox for "Law Offices of Russell Richardson." I have never in my life taken out a payday loan as others are referring to, and have not received anything via mail, so I'm not sure who these yahoos are, but I would love to speak to someone there...

It is illegal.  They are in violation of the FDCPA by revealing the reason for the call to a third party other than the alleged debtor.  Please do report them to the FTC, FBI, Dept of Justice and your state's Attorney General.  NEVER pay any caller who refuses to MAIL a debt validation letter showing you owe a debt and that they have the legal right to collect said debt.  Refusal to mail this documentation is another violation of the FDCPA.  In other words, do not allow their BS to scare you into paying a debt that most likely isn't even yours!

A friend of mine got a Voicemail from Destiny of Russell and Associates saying I had an hour to call them or a decision would be made..what a bunch of bull! They never called me...how illegal is it that they can leave messages like that on someone elses phone and have no reason???

Called my cellphone 12/17/2013 10:55 a.m., but left no message.  I Googled the # and found that it was a scam artist.

I too, rec'd a msg from this same number.When I return the call today, I was  told its a "Russel Richarson Law Firm" I asked for the ext 102 as the msg said. without transfering me, the lady ask if I knew this person..which was my sister in law. I said, yes and asked what is pertaining to. She said, it would be against the law to tell me but that the purpose of them calling me is so that I can relate the message to my sister in law to call them. I told her, they will need to call her or someone closer to her. As I live in another state and haven't talk to her. She become rude and hang up on me.

Do not call my number again or anyone associated with me.  Something seems very strange, if your call is of that much importance put something in the mail.  I want it in writing.

They called among for my daughter that it was important that she contact them and have me a ref #.  Asked them the nature of the call and they told that they can get in trouble for giving me information. Also that it was Ms. Bugler from the law offices of Russell Richardson.

I received a phone call at my work from this number (caller ID) and when I answered they disconnected. Seconds later they called my cell phone and asked for me by name. The female caller identified herself as "Destiny" from Richardson Law Office and wanted me to get a message to my daughter to contact them as the attorney was making a final decision today. When I asked her where they were out of, she again just gave me her name and the alleged law firm she was with. She told me I needed to get the message to my daughter within the next 30 minutes. I stated that wasn't possible as she doesn't have a phone and I was at work. She then stated that the attorney was going to make his decision with or without her input and stated she was going to note the time and date and that she talked to me advising me to get the message to my daughter. I then hung up.

I got a call today from this number, Richardson law office. Ugh. I told my mom to call back tomorrow, show no fear, and let them know she is aware its a scam. Scary phone call but don't believe it!

Called claiming they were a law firm asking if we would get a message to a person they named.  I didn't recognize the name, so I said I didn't know anyone by that name and that no one by that name lives with us or has ever to our knowledge lived at our current address.  The caller thanked me and hung up.  The call ended without disclosing the message, so I don't know what it was.

When I talked with my husband later, we realized this person is his sister's husband's father ... who knows how they got our name.  We googled the number and found lots of references to this being a spam number, so we didn't call the company back.

LEAVING A MESSAGE AS IF THE FBI IS LOOKING FOR YOU

Message was left at my parents house.  My dad called them and they wouldn't tell him much.  Said the number was 877 299 1175 x 103 with a case number of #214478.  I apologized to my dad for the concern it caused him and told him about the scam.  They called (or someone similar) called my sister in law last week.  Annoying!

Got  call today from a Ms. Rayos from the Richardson Law Office.  Told me it was urgent that she hears from me.  When calling 877-299-1175 ext 112. Reference number 22604.  As you can see I googled the number and surprise, surprise I landed in this forum.  Thanks for the information and heads up. Has SCAM  written all over it, just in time for the holidays.

Russell Richardson law firm at 877-299-1175 x-108 called my cell phone leaving a message to contact them immediately for an important legal matter.  I Googled the caller and learned of the scam!

Just got a call from these clowns under the law name of Russel Richardson. They were
looking for a Robin Kelly. Told them no one here by that name.  They said they would take our number off their call list.
