I called the office there..its called Meridian Business Center.
They do in fact use an office when they make an appointment for their next victim.
The girl who answered the phone mentioned Homestead exemption...BINGO!
Go to www.hcap.org and do it yourself.
Overpayment Recovery Department wants HALF of the refund.

I got a letter from the same "company".
Overpayment Recovery Department.
I called them and a woman answered, wanted to confirm my address.
I have a bad feeling about this.
Seems like some kind of scam.
Isn't there a web site where I can search if I have a state agency that owes me money?
Thanks

I got a letter from "Overpayment Recovery Department" saying I had $2,555.96 due to me from a public agency in my state. The return address was 11811 North Freeway Suite 500, Houston, TX 77060. I looked it up online and it's a "Virtual Office". Real building -- fake tenants. You can rent office space by the day, apparently.
