I listened to the recorded message from this number.  It was for "Lockridge Church" (I have no idea about the spelling).  If you press "1" you can listen to their stupid message about how great they are, BUT YOU CAN LEAVE A MESSAGE FOR THEM BY PRESSING "2" AT THE END.  I left them a brusque message.  let's hope they call again.  I won't be so nice the second time.  I don't know if the number is directly related to the church or not; I suspect is it some god damn telemarketing firm.

We got this number, this time it was a recording for "Bridgeway Church." Disgusting.

Called again.  This time a recorded message said:
"Hello we are from a new church that is opening in your area.  To hear more about it press 1."

Getting calls from this mob too with the dial tone, then "please hang up and try again" thing when my answer service picks it up.

Will also be turning them in as I am on every "do not call" list and this is just harassment.

I too have been having a "please hang up and try again" message on my answering machine every so often.  I shrugged them off but apparently they are related to this number.  I too am on the no-call list but lately that doesn't seem to be doing much good

Unknown on Caller ID. I did not answer. I am also on the do not call list and will report it!

Received call from this # for the very 1st time today. Live in St. Louis. Came through AOL call alert, & caller hung up, no message.

Called 10 times in 3 days. "hang up and try again" message followed by sound made when receiver is left off hook. Must pick up handset to stop the noise.

you poor lost souls. If you would take the time to see the good they are doing in trying to bring people to Bible believing churches in there area may be you would not be so angry.

I know this pastor and he is more than just rude.
I'd report him.
The calls are generated by using a computer based program.
The program keeps totals of all the responses and then he
harvests this information for the local church that is paying him to canvas their area with these calls.

Does anyone know what church they're calling for in the St Louis Missouri area? If I can find that then I can call and email the church a few dozen times - if people did that enough then it would slow these people down a little bit...

Keep receiving these calls from 1-877-300-7779.  My caller ID shows that it is a toll free number.  I do a call back and no answer.  Just rings rings and rings.

I got also called by this number today, but did not answer. The Caller ID that showed up is "800 Service".

I too live in Indiana and have had several calls from this number.  This appears to be a marketing ploy hosted by a former minster who owns a  company called tellstart.com  

I went to his web site and found his number and contact info, which is listed below. His name is Phil Spry..give him a call. I did...but he was not too receptive...actually, for a minister, he was a very rude man when I asked him to remove my contact info.  

It appears his company is often hired by a local churches to canvanss membership potential.. with home residence telephone numbers. Which is why this number is popping up at different locations around the country and for different churches. The number belongs to Tellstart.com....

Should you need to report this organization or Mr. Spry....

Indiana's Do Not Call List as well as the National Do Not Call List.

I'm receiving calls from 877-300-7779
This is a bill collector who is trying to collect 7 to 10 year old debts. Don't call them back and give your phone number or personel information.
If they can prove they made contact with you and your phone number shows up on their bill they can report the orginal debt to the Equifax and legally start collection proceedings on the old debt.
Turn off the ringer or check the caller ID before you answer.
My phone has coded rings for certain callers. Family members call - different ring tone.

I contacted the Keystone Bible Church today, and was told they only used that system for a 7-day period.  I was redirected to contact Tellstart.  If you visit the website, tellstart.com, you can send an email, or even call them directly: info@tellstart.com, (919) 553-3250.

All the same...several calls a day, no one on the other end when I answered.  Need to stop calling me. Pure harassement.

I have been getting calls from this number for a few days nobody is there.  I have called back and nobody picks up.  I have reported every time they call to the national do not call list.

Has anyone who has been told that they will not get another call from the 1-877-300-7779 number gotten anymore calls? What works to get this harrassment to stop?

I live in Texas and have been getting endless calls from this phone number.  They call 2 - 3 times a day!  I tried calling the number back, and got no answer.  I think I will report them for violation of the no call registry, I don't care who they are.

If they're not really in my area - why do they say they are?  I don't want to hear from them again.  Thanks for the info on who is doing the calling!!

Thank You!  I live near Odessa and will look up the website or answer and see what happens.  They have called 10 times in 2 days and I too am fed up.  If they are using telemarketers then I am going to report them to the Do Not Call list.

Thank you for your info.  I found the website and emailed them asking them to please remove me from their call list. They call me day and night. I live in southern Sarasota County, so it's hardly likely that I would drive up to Odessa to attend their church even if I was amenable to their incessant harassment.  Besides, aren't they subject to the National Do Not Call List?

I for one am sick of these calls.  6-7 times a day.  The call indentifier says "Call from not provided".  On the ocassions I do answer, the calling end hangs up.  So a simple hello doesn't work, so I'll try calling the church and ask them to remove my number.  They also have a website.
