Beth Smith calling "on behalf of AT&T"   I have asked that AT&T block all calls from telemarketers calling "on behalf of AT&T".  I am happy with my AT&T service, but they allow "slammers" to market service upgrades for them.  "Slamming" occurs when the telemarketer upgrades your phone service without your permission.  I get so many of these calls now that I am convinced AT&T is in on it.

Must be a new number that they are using. Bad connection. Said she was with AT&T and needed to speak to whomever was in charge of the account.  I always ask what its in regards to and they always say our account. Then I persist and ask if it's about billing, or what. They usually hang up ... my theory is if it's really AT&T then they would not be hanging up ...

I received message from my office that someone called from this number.  The person said their name was Beth Smith with AT&T and wanted to discuss my business account.  I suspect it is a scam.  When I call the number I get a recording stating that all representative are busy and to leave my name and number.  Never a mention of AT&T.
