When I actually called there I asked about the company. They're actually a part of the BBB or something. When I googled National Settlement Services, Inc. it's saying its run by the federal bank reserve. It looks official but I'm still freaking out about it. I called all my credit card companies just in case but I'm hoping this is legit

Can you elaborate on what happened with this please??? Why did they start berating you?? I got the same number and card. I actually called them, there's a website called the National Settlement Service, Inc. They ran my credit report, helped me come up with set rate and all but then I google the numbers both the 1800 and the 856 and I find these comments and it worries me. If this was legit I would be thrilled. If they were scams wouldn't they change the phone numbers after "failed attempts to steal people's money" we're made known on the Internet???

Yes! I received two post cards from these jokers, and I'm happy/lucky to say that I don't have a single penny of debt to my name! So, I called them to ask how they got my information. I remember the guy being very defensive with me, and I forget how the conversation ended to be honest. All I know is that the phone calls & postcards stopped.
I'd still love to report these guys to the BBB. However, I don't even have a company name or address to submit with the claim. Any ideas?

Yes I receive a post card from this company stated that "You have been selected for a Credit Card Hardship Program". Although I have several credit cards, I haven't requested any information nor have I gone past due. The are obviously purchasing information from somewhere. It's probably some type of debt consolidation program. They have offered an estimated monthly payment and eligible debt amount.

These folks are ":Credit Card Hardship Program" and they are offering me a hardship offer - not behind on anything so don;t know why all of a sudden I am getting these things. The calls and mail is non stop. This company sends post cards and they are a little embarrassing since they discuss hardship and debt reduction which I don't need.
