I also received it in my mailbox. I called the real government number to validate the post and I made a report for frued. Also did you know you can sue them?. On the card they didn't even spell government right or my address for that matter but i agree 100% people do not call that number instead call (1-800)447-8477 and report it!!

I got a green post card letter from them, and it says that they have been trying to contact me regarding my guaranteed $25,000 in government grants, now I know that government grants are real but you don't just get it handed to you. it says to contact them at this number before April 28,2008, but there is no return address or anything where it came from.

This is most DEF a SCAM!

I just received a green card promising me a $25,000 Government Grant. It has a phone number of 1-877-303-3788 listed on the card. It includes a deadline and reservation code. My first thought was to try to find info on the net. I'm glad I did. I could really use the money, but definitely can't afford to be scammed.

So I got my card too.
In the past few months I have received so much scam material, I can nearly redecorate my living room with it. On top of that two of my credit cards (both Citibank) were hi-jacked. So I think I am in my right to say I am GETTING TIRED, ANNOYED AND ANGRY with these a**holes!

They don't call people they only mail green post cards. I too received a green card, called the number and ordered my grant guide.  After reading it I took advantage of their grant writing service, cost me $1500 and low and behold within 4 months I received a grant for $36,500.00.  You have got to believe and go for it once in a while.  If you believe everything people post on these sites you are destined to stay in the same situation you are in.  They post their beliefs as facts which could be considered liable seeing as how I did receive my grant so it is NOT a scam.

I received the green post card this week guaranteeing the $25,000 grant from the US Government.  I thought that it was to good to be true and was glad that I researched it further prior to making a phone call.  These people should be locked up for this; I mean offering money supposedly from our government, it's crazy!

I didn't receive a call but have been getting this green postcard.  I'm sure we would have gotten a call but we have changed from land lines to cell phones.
Today is August 14, 2008 so this has been going on for some time.
I appreciate all the information in your reports.
Thanks

These people have been calling me for weeks now and won't stop. The first time they call was a month ago. Everything sounded good until they asked for my bank account number. They wanted to send me $25,000 in Grants. So I asked them who they were they said they were with the US Goverment, I then asked her name. She said her name was Lisa Brown which sounded pretty common but what kind of person with a Indian accents name is Lisa Brown. Oh my goodness!!! I about freaked out and started calling there bluff!!!

I too recieved one of those mysterious cards.  I submitted a complaint to the FTC to look into this possible scam.  At the very least, it appears that the faceless person who sent this card are trying to get access to us by passing themselves off as an official US government entity.  I will try and post the results of my complaint when they become available.

Have any of you recently looked at any sites online regarding grants, scholarships, or funding from the government? That's one way they could've gotten your information; the site sold your name & address to another company.

Yep, these people are like all the other criminals trying to take advantage of a family member of mine.  It appears that they are from the Kansas City area.  Their last mailings were from Paola, KS. I have reported them to the Paola police, Kansas City police and the Chicago police.
I start to realize how these mean people get away with these scams.  The police do not have the manpower to stay after these people with bad Karma.
It is my goal to put as many of these people in prison as possible.
