Hi everyone, This is a REAL debt collector. I thought it was fishy at first too since it was a robot on my voicemail, using my maiden name.

I did some research, and started calling around to recent medical providers. I found one that I hadn't paid, because I never received their bill. Come to find out the provider typed my address in wrong. It was from an ER Visit, and everyone else at the hospital sent bills to my correct address, except for this one provider. Morons! I then confirmed with the provider that they sent it to Professional Finance Company (PFC) in Greeley CO before I called PFC.

I determined they are A+ certified with the BBB, and have received local awards in Greeley. They are a real company.

However, to be on the safe side I called the phone number listed on PFC's website, rather than the 877-303-7965 number that was left by the robot on my voicemail. I then confirmed with the PFC representative who they were collecting for, the amount, and the address they had on file (which matched the wrong address the provider stated to me over the phone).

Since I called promptly, no late fees were applied and there shouldn't be any impact to my credit report, but I will be pulling my free annual one later to confirm!

They were very friendly and courteous and hopefully I will never hear from them again. ;-)

They've called twice saying they are collecting a debt (I don't owe anyone); it's an automated call saying I should return their call between certain hours.  I have returned their calls twice only to get another automated message asking me to leave my name, phone number and case number (I have no case number). My last (second) message was asking them not to call if they could not provide an actual person to speak with and/or stop calling.

Use a proxy like Google Voice to call these numbers.

The correct hours are 8am to 9pm. Anything outside these hours report to your lawyers.

Calls often between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. I have filed a complaint with Do Not Call Registry.

After waiting for 1:35, a man picked up, and informed me that he was part of "Professional Finance Group" (I think).  When I asked what type of business it was, he informed me, "We're a collection agency."

The gentleman who picked up was very polite and courteous.

Get call and hangup there is such a long delay before anyone comes on the line.

It's a "ROBO CALL", please hold for next representative.
This is pure BS.  If they want me, they will have a human on the other end.
I will not answer these calls anymore.  Have no clue who they are.

I get these calls all the time, carry no debt, and always pay my bills.  They're very aggressive and intrusive.  Call them to give a verbal warning and have your number removed.  Track the date and time of any calls that come in after that.  Send a certified letter then sue them for harrassment.  Unfortunately, that's just about the only way to shake these fleas.

I keep getting a phone call from this number and 866-554-5620 asking for a Ashley Wright! It's sooooo annoying !! I told them I''m not Ashley Wright  but it doesn't matter!!

Just got the same call asking for Virginia Richardson.  I pushed 1 to speak to a Representative to tell them they had the wrong number, but was on hold too long so I hung up

Got called on my cell phone. I screen all my calls/do not answer unless I know the caller. Got a call from this number [I work nights & it woke me up] today [and also Jan 29th... & possibly before today, but I recently deleted my missed calls log]. Came here to see who's been bugging me. Been getting a lot of these types of calls [automated out-going/wrong # collection calls] lately & it's REEEEEALLY starting to aggravate me. I pay all my accounts fully and on time. This is complete bull****. Will answer next time to give them a piece of my sleep-deprived mind.

they came on line and asked what number they had called. Stated they were calling for a "JOHN PERKINS"............... said wrong number- they apologized and hung up.
hope this is not the same person they are asking for on ALL their calls!
