we have been getting calls constantly on our two home phones  from this number 1-877-303-8757. and being harassed. asking for a party name of erin stetsor-and we are on do not call list. we are disgusted with these calls.what can we do?

that is not our name and we are not related to that person. Help

They called me this day at about five forty five pm, I did not get a chance to answer it so I called them back. A young man answered said he worked at sounded like GC company, I didn't understand him so I again said WHO DO YOU WORK FOR I AM ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST, he said well ma'am this a debt collection agency working for Capital One, do you have a card, I said I do not and I do not owe you or anyone else any money that is to say the people who I owe I pay on time or before time each month. This young man asked for my number when I gave it to him he said it was not in the system....but he would take it out..sounds odd to me. But needless to say, I told him in no uncertain terms, I do not owe you, do not have any card of yours and even if you are not governed by the Do Not Call Registry, DON'T CALL ME AGAIN.  I did report it to the DNC Registry

I got a call at 9:00 PM Sunday (after several calls daily for the past week).  I finally called the number back.  They said it was "GC Services".  They have an automated calling system which is probably the reason why if you answer their calls, nobody seems to be on the other end.  Nevertheless, the person said the automated calls are on behalf of Capital One.  She asked if I had a Capital One credit card.  I do not.  She then asked for my phone number.  I reluctantly gave it to her.  I figure they're already calling several times a day so how much worse can it get?  She couldn't find my number in their system - so she said that she would remove it from the automated call system.  That doesn't make very much sense to me but if it stops them from calling, I'm happy.

I have gotten several calls from this number and other numbers they have "phished" including 223-987-5200 and 223-987-5001.  They are calling my cell phone and ask for a lady whom I do not know and they are trying to collect a debt she owes.  I have had this number for two years so it must be an old debt.  I have asked them 5 times to not call this number but, as expected, the type people that do this type work are such low lifes they do not pay the courtesy of listening.  If I don't answer they leave a message on my voicemail so they still burn up my allowable minutes.  I have found this company is GC Services in Houston, Texas, telephone 713-777-4441.  My next complaint will be to Verizon and the FCC.  I don't believe I must submit to this type of harrassment.  The next move after that is to file suit for damages.  My son is my attorney and my legal expenses cost nothing.  They have to hire an attorney to defend themselves and attorneys are not cheap.  Then we will see who listens to who.

I have got 3 calls in 2 days and they say they are calling from GC services. They wanted to verify my information of Capital one credit card I have and I did not give out anything. I immediately called Captial one to see if this was true and CAPITAL ONE customer service did confirm that there is no other agency that should be calling the customer and asking for information. This is disgusting and irritating.

I've had a number of calls from this company, GC Services. I have no business with them, nor have I ever been affiliated with same for any reason. I finally filed an online complaint with my STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL office. It was very easy, and they were very helpful. Simply being on the Do Not Call registry, does nothing! I urge all to file a complaint with YOUR State Attorney General office.

this company called my cell 915 820 1979 and 915 222 8548.  ..our cell phone is unlisted.  They called for someone not at our address.  Harrassing!

i keep getting calls from this number on my cell phone,22 in weeks time

I'm getting 2-3 calls per day on my cell. They don't leave a message.
They are calling at different times of day so far not beyond legal parameters.

I keep getting called from this and many other various collection numbers! They never leave a message and I just keep blocking the numbers.

ditto, keep getting these harrasments. capital one actually just issued me a replacement credit card saying that there was a potential security breach on their end, so basically a list of names got out and this gc services is calling, before they used to just randomly call anyone but if you dont' have a capital one card, you wouldn't pay it any mind, now they've apparently got a list of names, so they are more likely to trick someone into giving them their information, DON'T DO IT! they will likely empty your bank account or charge up debt in your name. don't let your identity be stolen people, its the last thing we got.

received repeated calls from this number with no caller id info on 5/8 & 5/9/2009.  

note to the person/s saying it was GC Services/Capitol One:  I have heard that calls claiming to be GC services representing capitol one are phishing scams.  If they say they can't find you in the data base and ask for any sensitive information, I would hang up immediately.

The company is GC Services, these scumbags collect for Capital One and often violate FTC guidelines for collecting debt.

I get calls from 877-303-8757, 877-303-8763 and they tell me it is GC Services. I can get 3-4 calls in one day and when I told them I would report them, they just laughed. I'm registed with the "Do  not Call" Registry, but apparently they do not care. I've filed numerous complaints with the Do Not Call registery.

Called asking for "Irvin"? Explained there was no Irvin. I could barely understand the caller. It was definitely the wrong number

Did they call you back after the threat? I am considering the same action because they keep calling and they think I am a La-keisha... I want to know how to proceed (at least with a complaint).

Told me they were GC Services adn were trying to collect for Capital One.  The person on the other end kept insisting on me giving them my birthdate.  I argued with the man and told him my account was not in for collections and was current.  Hung up with him and called Capital One and they confirmed my account was in good standing and did not know why i recieved this call.

They keep calling repeatedly but never leave a message.

Same here- they are calling my home phone- and it's their collection agency- and I'm on the National Do Not Call Registry, and have been for over 5 years.I have NEVER had a capitol one credit card, don't owe them money and when I told them that he asked for my number and then came back on and said "I have no idea why they are calling you, that phone number is not in our system." I said "I just TOLD you I don't own one and never have!!!! this is a 3rd party on behalf of Capital One for collections.  They are looking for my son and I have told them repeatedly that I do not have his phone number or address and to quit calling.  they say they will and then they don't!  Annoying!!!

They never leave a message, and have called 6 times per day in the past two days.

I get calls every day starting at around 7:00 a.m. and they go until almost 10:00 p.m. They said I'm behind on my Capital One payment, but I'm not and when I call Capital One they are clueless.  It's really pissing me off.

I've been getting calls all day and night.  Before lunch, after lunch and as late as 9:00 pm. They call more than once in a day. They do not leave a message on the answering machine. I finally answered the phone and they were looking for someone who does not live at my place nor do I know this person.  After verifying the number they called I was told they will take me off their phone list. Time will tell.

The jerks at GC said they would remove my number from their call list, that was yesterday. This morning they harassed me 2 more times. Looks like I'll be busy reporting them to all sites of this kind and have our lawyer do something about them. It is certain that our company, and me personally, will never do business with Capitol One and we never will. Stupid B*****ds!!! Time to set up a call block on our phones.

We have tenants on a house on our property that may have them, but that is not my business , and they don't get their mail here- they have PO boxes. They're cross indexing names listed with the postal service at addresses when they can't reach delinquent clients!

GC - Capitol One calls frequently, inluding sundays (5 calls) and numerous cals during the week. I pointed out that they are breaking the law and that our company will begin legal proceedings agains them. The woman caller said she will remove our number... where have I heard that lie before?... Nevertheless, we are going to report them. I had it with these jerks and their lies. We have nothing to do with Capitol One and, due to their harrasment, won't ever deal with them. Now I'll report them on every repoting site I can find; this is war!!!

They called just before 9:00 PM on a Sunday.  I didn't answer.
