I got the same text only it was for a receptionist with a leading designer.  I got the same text a few weeks ago asking that I call a different 800 number.  I decided it was a scam after reading the info on that number and figured this is the same group.

I recently applied for a position as well over a week ago.  I submitted my resume on-line assuming it was going directly to the company.  Two days later I received an e-mail from Career Network wanting me to submit my info again for confirmation.  I did that and a day later was sent another e-mail that I was being suggested for employment for the position and to follow the link to further confirm my interest.  Again, I did and also added my cell as a contact #.  Today I received a text message to call this # about the position.  I was on hold for awhile and then a woman finally came on.  Since she could not identify me since I was calling from my land line she wanted my cell #.  She asked if I was still looking for a position and then asked if I had at least 45 minutes to discuss my qualifications.  I told her
I had about 20 minutes and she told me to call back when I had time.  Seriously?  the posotion I applied to sounded to could to be true so it probably it is.  If not, by the time you go through this lengthy process of confirming and re-confirming etc. the job was probably already filled. Sounds fishy to me.

Im glad I found this site..this company is a joke..they post phony ads on pretty much every job search site..They usually grab your attention by saying the pay is anywhere from $13 hr and up starting pay..When you click apply now it redirects you to another site that does not even give you the name of the company or its background..It asks only for your personal information, and then next think its offering you to go back to school and theres not a no thank you link found on the page..youre thinking how do i complete my application without being forced back to school..so you close out..A few days later you get a text from 56030 hi _____please give me a call about the _____job you applied for..and gives you a 1800 or 1866-565-8931 number to call...This is all about soliciting you into school or paying them to look for work.....TOTAL SCAM

I ALMOST fell for this scam.  Came close to pressing the botton to continue, but the "furthering education" thing and the odd way of "highly suggested" on the phone number, caused me to look further because things just didn't hold up.  I'm glad I came across this page to verify my suspicions.

I got the same txt after applying for a job, looks like the job post was a scam all along. I thought it was a bit strange that the application pretty much only asked if I was interested in furthering my education. the number to call was 18663072266. I can't believe these people are wasting our time with these fake jobs so they can try and squeeze money out of us.

I called this number, but first blocked mine so that they couldn't trace me or connect my phone to a resume. I spoke with a lady that really didn't make any sense. First, the moment I canceled their email, I immediately received some strange txt about calling the above number, and then of course, the txt said to txt "STOP" back to stop receiving the txt messages. I noticed that they didn't txt me until I "verified" by clicking the removal link of who or if the info they have on me is correct. Second incident, I called the above number, but first blocking mine, to see who answers. It was a lady. She of course was trying to get my information sense my number didn't show up. I declined and decided to ask my own questions. She tried to further get me to verify my identity so that she could "take me out of the system so that they can focus on the ones who want employment through them". I declined learning from my first mistake, that they use your declines to further match up their info with someone, in other words, as if to verify that the info isn't phony and that they now have a tangible tag on someone. Thirdly, after asking her about why the company doesn't have a physical address, she first said that its because they operate nationally and have different "offices". She also mentioned Florida. So I asked her where the main office is located and she said Florida. So I then asked for the address. She said to give her a moment because [she works from home and has to look it up]. Next thing you know, she hangs up the phone like a true scam artist. Probably hoping that I would call her back like an idiot without blocking my number. This has been my experience with this fullish Career Network company. In my experiences with  online scams, if there is any ambiguity with basic info such as LOCATION, ADDRESS, PERSON OF CONTACT, CLARITY ON WHAT EXACTLY THE SERVICE/PRODUCT IS, AND/OR, BUT NOT LIMITED TOO, PERSONALLY FEELING UNEASINESS OR CONFUSION ABOUT THE COMPANY..................THEN IT IS A SCAM.

I agree with you.

I pretty much have the same story you did. I had applied for a job, got a text, called them, went through the process, and then when I said I was not interested in discussing furthering my education the conversation kind of ended quickly

Hey everyone - I received the same text, except I had applied for the position that they were contacting me about.  I think they had posted phoney ads online, and this was the way they got people to call them.  So, I did call them and the gentleman asked me a series of questions about my work history and resume.  He then proceeded to inquire particularly about my education background and wanted to know if I was interested in pursuing my Master's.  After I told him that I wasn't interested at the moment, the conversation seemed to end relatively quickly.  I think this is definitely a company looking to solicit a higher-education business.  Definitely not legit. =)

This company is a total scam. They have been known to post fake job ads on craigslist posing as a legitimate company in your area. They have posted on other sites but it is about 1/4 the price of other job sites to post a job ad on craigslist. Many of their postings say to send your resume to an @gmail.com (or similar service like yahoo, hotmail, etc.) e-mail address. They also search resumes on job sites like monster and careerbuilder. The reason they send out mass texts is because they don't actually have a job to offer you. They try to get you to pay for bogus "job search assistance" or try to sell you some type of nonsense training. Reply to their text message with STOP and you will be removed from their list. Also follow the instructions to unsubscribe (usually at the bottom of the e-mail) if they e-mail you. Good luck!

I received a text message from 56030 stating:
Hi _____________ call me about the Receptionist Job you have applied for 8773049262. (txt STOP to cancel).
I have not responded to the text nor have I called them. I would think that if it were a legitimate job offer that there would be a call from a person regarding the position, not a text message sent telling you to call them. What kind of business would require a potential employee to call them regarding the job? All of the jobs that I have held over the past 10 years have called me to set up interviews or ask personnel questions.

I recieved the following text :

Hi, Call me about the Customer Service Rep job you have applied for.

When I called them and asked where they got my information they said the recieved my inital application for this position from meganiche.com. While I did begin the application process w/ this website I did not complete it because when I googled the company everyone was saying it was a false sight trying to obtain personal info. Also the individual who i spoke w/ said that she was trying to qualifiy me for the position after a few basic questions she then asked if i was interested in furthering my education. Sounded like she would have then tried to get me to go w/ some sort of schooling if I would have let her.

"You will no longer receive messages from CareerNetwork alerts. For help reply HELP, call 1-888-753-4394, or email help@WirelessCommunicationsCorp.com"
I googled "Career Network" and it a job search company. sounds legit, right? except it is a PAY service, and their main focus is getting you to pay for their "help". Dont get fooled. text "stop" if you get the text. seems to have worked for me.
