I live in the DFW area and have Charter.  I have been getting calls from this number for days but they don't leave a message.  Annoying.

Ever since signing up with Charter 3 weeks ago I have been receiving calls from this number several times a day, every day, with no message left.  I read that it is Charter Communications (it is), so finally answered just to get them to put me on a no-call list.  The person on the phone wanted to offer me new Charter packages, even though I advised I was a brand-new customer and had been through all the packages offered just a few weeks ago.  I finally gave up, and asked to be put on the no call list.  BE AWARE - THEY SELL YOUR NUMBER TO ADVERTISERS.  Within an hour of talking to Charter (finally answering!), I started receiving advertising robo calls, like from Bath & Body Works (I don't even shop there).  I have never received advertising calls on this number (had it for years) until this.

It was a recorded voice telling me that I had a call from "your cable company." It didn't say WHICH cable company, and then it rattled off a number to call back for more information. Very quick number, but I'm not going to relisten to it or call back. Fools errand, it's a scam.

It is very cost effective for Charter to solicit for additional services by phone and they will continue to do so until they find an even more efficient method.  If you want to speak with a real person that should be able to get your phone number on a "do not call" list or for any other purpose, let the automated voice answering service know that you want a change in service, and that that change is termination of service.  They will put somebody on the line almost immediately.  Also, you can chat live online at their website.

Remember that the person you are dealing with is not the person that is making the annoying calls.  They only represent the company's customer service and if you are a customer in good standing they want to keep that relationship.  Politely let them know that if you want a change in service you will initiate the conversation regarding that matter or else you will find another provider.

I'm sick and tired  of these phone calls.  I have MagicJack for phone service for 5 years.... No amount of your calls can change that.   I've never been late with a bill payment.... so this must be the only reason someone keeps calling.  all hours of day and night.  No one is there the times I have finally gotten up to go to the phone....  or if they are they won't let me get a word in edgewise and I have to be rude and hang up.       I've finally found out by reverse phone search that Charter is who is making these calls.   So just take me off of your list please........

Glad to find out it's Charter...... They'd hounded me ever since I got MagicJack phone service.  I'm locked into that and told them so, to please quit calling.  I get at least one to three letters and cards a week in the mail, and these endless phone calls.  At least one or two in the morning,  one or two in the afternoon, and often in the evening as well. Even after 9pm. Week ends too.  Got one at 2am one morning, just after my daughter and grand daughter had been in a serious car wreck.  Thought for sure one had died or something... only to find no one on the phone after I stumbled my way to the phone.   So glad I found this page.  Thanks folks... Guess we'd better start praying about it, eh?

It's charter calling again to offer more services. Want to sue them for calling me again. It's over the top harassment.  Make a good class action lawsuit. Seems they call and annoy many customers like this.

I get the same calls. Seems like a daily event. They had stopped for a bit, but are at it again. I wouldn't think a legitimate company like Charter would be so disrespectful. When I started Charter, I originally called the company for information for a deal I saw online. They offered a free modem with sign up. Turns out they are a third party company that Charter has nothing to do with. The deal sounded shady after I found that out, so I found my own modem and signed up with the legitimate Charter dealer (who happen's to be the only provider for the area). I have a feeling those people might be behind the daily calls. It reeks of the same shady business practices.

Definitely Charter. These guys don't know how to take "no" for an answer. I asked them back in September to stop calling me.  They started again in November.  Fortunately I still had the call I took from them back in September in my cell phone where I told them to stop calling me.  The National Do Not Call list requires you provide them the date you told the company to stop calling you for companies that you do business with.  I have Charter internet... only because FiOS isn't available. :)

They call every night... no message.

I keep getting calls from this number around 4:00 pm everyday. They do not leave a message. How can I stop these calls?

It was Charter Cable calling at 7:26PM on a Friday soliciting services.

I have received a call from this number several times.  They never leave a message.  Other entries on this blog indicate it is from Charter Communications.  I have cable modem service with them in DFW area.  I will not answer this call since they do not identify themselves.

I keep getting calls from this number.

I have been receiving calls from this number for months. I get a ton of calls due to work and so most run to voice mail. They never leave a message. I called Charter CSV and they said that this was not their number and they were going to investigate. Today I got another call from this number and answered to find out more. It is apparently a 3rd party company hired by Charter for sales. I told the guy to put my number on the DO NOT CALL list. He said it would take 20 days for it to be effective. He repeatedly said they were working for Charter and not a scam but regardless I just don't need anymore solicitation calls. So let them know you want to be on the DO NOT CALL list. Hopefully it works! Sadly no one at Charter seems to know this is a company working for them...UGH!!!

I don't understand why they call me because I already have their service. and I am so unhappy with it

It's Charter.   They call to try and sell you their packaged phone/internet/cable program.   I've told them no I have no idea how many times.   Calling customer service to tell them to remove me from this permanently.

This is Charter Communications. In order for me to get this call, they had to ignore the Do Not Call Registry. Filing a complaint.

It's Charter Communications trying to sell you additional products. Probably from one of those automated dialers--that's why there is no message. I do not answer calls from unknown callers - if they need to reach me, they can leave a message with a call back number.

They've called four times today, twice before it was even 9AM, how inconsiderate for a sleepy college student. My phone is broken so I can't answer calls which is why I had to look them up; when I can I'll answer and tell them to cut the crap.

I have received a call from this number on my cell phone every day this week, sometimes twice in a day. I never answer and they never leave a message, which isn't surprising since the message on my cell phone asks that if the call is a sales call to not leave a message, but it also says "and do not call this number again," which they, or course, are not honoring. I also have Charter Cable but I live in the Houston area. I have heard that there are scam calls that do not leave a message on purpose because they want people to call back as a confirmation that the cell number is good then they sell your number to others.

Must be scam day - had 2 calls today, one from this number and another from 541-844-2096. I don't answer calls on my cell from unknown numbers. If they have something to say or need to speak to me, they can leave a message; if they don't leave a message, I assume it's a scam and do not return the call.

CALL DAILY, WONT LEAVE MESSAGE, I DONT ANSWER 877,800, OR 866 NUMBERS WITH OUT A NAME, WISH THEY WOULD STOP CALLING
