Still targeting the DC area.  Received the same robo call today (3/22/13) from American Broadcast System representative about free air fare and 7 day cruise.  Since none of us are calling back, just curious how the scam actually works.  Also, curious how they get the phone numbers.

I just received a call and they left a voicemail pitching airfare and travel from a nearby city on a cruise.  What a load.

Got a message on cell phone, said she was from Viacom, and said I won 2 round trip tickets to Miami or Cape Canaveral for a cruise on Carnival, or, "you can drive to Baltimore!"  Sounded the same voice until Baltimore, then it sounded like they inserted it. No time share, no pressure.

Baltimore" , so seeming to be targeting the Balto-Washington Metro area!!  Talked real fast unless she said "Carnival Cruise" or "Viacom"..

Yes, reporting from DC.  Same excited message - from "American Broadcast Systems " - you won two free cruises departing from Baltimore or they would fly you to Miami or Port Canaveral.  7 night, 8 day cruise to the Caribbean.

Same as the others. Scum, I mean Scam.

Just got a call from Lee Kennedy with American Brodcast Systems, claiming I won a cruise to Miami or another location with a flight or cruise from Baltimore.  Seems very suspicious seeing as they called my new work cell that I wouldn't have used last year.   Per the other reviews, they will not be scamming me.  Seems like they made their way back to using this 877-306-1770 number they used back in 2009.

Got a prerecorded call saying my name was drawn from a form filled out last year for American Broadcasting Company. My spouse (nonexistent) and I won 2 free trips to a Carnival Cruise leaving out of Miami or if I leave from Baltimore, other destination options. Hit "2" to remove me from their list.

It's reached Baltimore. Same message from the comments in 2009. No time shares/ no pressure to buy anything. So tempting because I'm in walking distance to the cruise terminal. :( I wish it were real.

Got the call on my office phone.  I was not in so they left a message.   Drive to Baltimore OR fly to Port Canaveral.  As stated above a woman who very carefully pronounced every word with dramatic pauses.  Never got the name of the company or the caller's name.   Said I entered a drawing a year ago (?).

They just called my cell phone today.  SCAM / Delete

Ok here's the thing. She said her name was Lee. She seemed drunk or really hyper. She said I won a free round trip and a 7 night cruise on Carnival or Royal Carribean in the Virgin Islands. It said a family member has filled out a form, but here's the thing: they haven't! Btw this is a voice message so ya... ?

I live in VA and just received a call from 877-306-1770 on my cell at 3 pm 2-18-13.  I did not answer it.

Got a call from this number today. I answered and of course, no one spoke--so I hung up. Who/What is this??

The scam has reached Virginia -- same story here in 2013 as in the 2009 posts below.

Same here, lengthy message about winning an 8-day cruise. I called them back and told them to mail me the paperwork I would need in order to file it on my taxes and they hung up on me. LOL

Same here! You'd think after their calls have traveled halfway through the Midwest, they'd realize we're on to them.  It sounds so real, it's a shame they gets people's hopes up just to steal their money.

I'm in Jeff City as well and just received the same call from a 1-877-306-1770 from a Lee Calaway and she left a message about winning a cruise and airfare and it's not a timeshare, no promotions, and no pressure to purchase anything. We don't fill out any entry forms only b/c of things like this.  I wonder if Carnival and Royal Caribbean are aware of this.

Yes, it is a scam.  Called me today from 877-306-1770 and left a voicemail about winning a cruise and airfare.  No way I am calling the idiots back.  You would have to be a moron to not check the number first.  But I guess that is who they are looking for.

Just got the call. Same cruise offer, with ports of call in NASA (probably misheard) and the Bahamas. Of course, like most people here, I am very careful what forms I fill out. The only "travel" anything that gets my phone number is hotel reservations, not contests.

It's made it's way to Jefferson City, MO now. I listened to the message then thought I'd check out the number before I called back, as my husband actually does fill out entry forms for contests on a regular basis. After reading this I won't bother :)

My Columbia MO cell just got hit, didn't answer, and they didn't leave a voicemail.

Must be targeting Columbia missouri today. Got the call at 4pm saying i won a cruise.

Got the same thing I am in Columbia, MO as well and as a frequent cruiser I knew right off hand this was a scam so I didn't bother calling back but I may use the message to play with my partner he will get a good laugh.

and it says I have to prove I am married and make over 50k a year??? But I thought I won? The message says to come to a sales seminar selling discounted vacations.

My wife got this call yesterday and I got it today. Columbia, MO. We have Sprint cell phones. Said same as everyone else, but "This is not a timeshare" and "No reason to renew"? or something along the lines of that you will have a monthly payment.

Im going to call just to mess with them and see if I can get some names of people and location or maybe I actually WON!!!! WINNNINNNGGGG!!
