THIS IS RIDICULOUS. A couple days ago I filled out a survey online that said i would be entered to win this. A few days later I got this text and I called the number and apparently I did win the voucher. I had to give out my credit card number. My dad said I definitely should not, considering that the whole this was fishy. I was pretty mad. Whoever is sending these is a total moron if he really thinks people are going to give out their credit card number over the phone. retarded.

Similar situation here.  My daughter was sent a text saying she'd won a $50 gift card from Target.  I called the number and someone with a Latina name and accent answered (funny considering the company is based in Romania).  She would never ID her company and plowed through her script.  She agreed to remove her from their list and hung up.

Concerned my mobile account had been billed, I called back.  This time a hispanic male answered claiming my daughter had answered a "how to save money" survey six months ago.  Naturally, that was untrue.  Even after threatening to call the Federal Trade Commission, he still wouldn't tell me who he worked for and continued to try to send the gift card.

Info was almost impossible to find on their website or on Google.  A domain name registration led me here.

Same deal - received several texts over the past month from them.  Finally called the number and asked the foreigner who answered to take me off their list.  Hung up on me.  Called back and repeated my request.  Hung up again.

Scum of the earth.

I received the same text about 200 Wal Mart gift card.  I called the number, gave the gift coupon number that had been texted to me.  The guy who answered had a thick accent and didn't understand my accent.  He didn't give a name and then hung up on me.  Don't know if this is a scam or not, but I am concerned.

Received same text and called the number 877-306-9992 to ask where they got my phone number. The man who answered just said "Hello" so right away I was angry. He had a very thick accent so I couldn't understand what company he was from. He kept saying I was a valued customer but I kept telling him that I don't know what company he's with and I NEVER signed up to receive text messages on my phone. He said he would take me off the call list.

I had received the same text message from 729329. I had called the number and almost gave in to the scam. I told the non-american (that I could not understand) that I did not have a debit or credit card and she hung up right away. Didn't say goodby or kiss my a**. If anyone get's a call or text message from these people don't give in to this scam. If you really won a $200 Walmart gift card why should you have to pay for the shipping & handling.I have reported 1-877-306-9992 to the FBI website. I advise others to do so also.

I clicked on an Ad "Win a $1000 Walmart Gift Card" on Photobucket site. That took me to a form where I entered my name, address, and telephone number to enter the contest.

Then I got a new page for a survey, asking what things I use, or like, or eat..etc. I didn't give any info as I saw this as a means to figure out what they could hit me for with advertising.

Next a new page opened up, and it said to qualify for the contest, I had to agree to buy something from a list of companies. I did not choose to do that.

Then afterwards, my email box got flooded with spam, and also text message offers started spamming my cellphone.

That site sold my registration for the Walmart contest to several other companies.

One of these spam messages was from the short code 729-329 with similar message like above in others comments here about their call-back number 877-306-9994.

When I called that number, they told me something about a security service they were selling, something about protecting my cellphone. They said they would be sending me this offer in the mail along with a $200 Walmart Gift Card but they needed my credit card number so they could bill me.

I had asked the caller where they were located since they had a strong accent and they said they were in the Philippines. It seems like more and more call centers are located there. Some may be legitimate, but I strongly believe that many are not, and being off-shore they seem more out of reach from being regulated by our US Government since they are foreign.

I do not trust call-centers that are off-shore, and it's scary to think that more and more off-shore call centers are compiling personal information on American Consumers via the Internet.

I told them to forget it, that I don't pay to win a contest, that they are a sham and a scam, and they better take me off their list of contacts.

I text-replied to their short-code message I had received from them the word "STOP" but they have not replied.

I called this company back and a person answered "Hello" without identifying themselves. I asked is this a company that I am calling, and they said yes (in a strong accent)told me "Discover Enterprises". I had to ask them to repeat that a few times, as their english was difficult to understand.

I asked them where they were located, and they said Phoenix AZ, and I that they didn't sound like they were from Arizona. They replied they were an Asian Arizonian.

I told them that I had responded to their SMS message to "Stop" and they never returned a message saying I was unsubscribed.

The person then hung up on me.

The other text spam I got, some of them returned a text to my request that I was unsubscribed but not this company.

This kind of Internet abuse should be stopped both locally and internationally.

I was told that i could receive a $200 gift voucher from Wal-Mart. Only if I have a credit card to pay for the shipping & handling of (9.90). Once that is paid i would receive the $200 gift vocher in 5 to 7 days. It was a  man that spoke with bad India or Afghanistun accent.

Please call your cell phone service provider and tell them about the text message.  They can look up the the company by the short code that the text comes from.

Also please ask your cell phone service company to put a block on all "Premium Text Messages", that is what this service is.  This will prevent them or any company from charging you fees thru your cell phone.

It is also important that you DO NOT give them any information over the phone.  And that you report them to the Federal Communication Commission, I believe it or not, it is illegal to send unsolicited texts.  The more people who report this company the better!

I got this same text about the walmart gift card.  I called and asked how they got my number, they said I did some online shopping (which I hadn't).

It is against the law for companies to send unwanted spam texts.  Please report this company!!  The more complaints they get against one company will help.
