I actually received a call from an unknown number. Usually I do not answer but today is the second day I came home and had several missed calls from an unknown number.
I asked immediately if he can remove me from his registry and he insisted that I take the number and call because "Maam you don't have to buy or sign up for anything, your number has come up for a free $200 gift" I said okay I'll take the number (for argument sake) and he asked me to repeat it to him with the "gift code". I asked again for him to remove my number from whatever registry they have...

We'll see what happens

I received a call tonight from a 978-570-2232, and yes, a gent with a heavy Indian accent, who claimed I had won $200 in Wal-Mart shopping and only need to pay $2 in shipping and handling. Being from NJ, I was wary with giving my credit card and believing that they would give me $200 for only $2 and I had 7 days to cancel from Consumer Discount Network for a monthly fee of $29.99.  Then I called the 877-306-9996 number and gave them the Gift ID.  Again with a woman with a heavy Indian accent and claimed her name was Nicole Smith!!!! HELLOOOOO, Indian name of Nicole Smith.  I got her ID and info and still did not give them my cc#. Thank God I found this link in doing my research so I am sharing with you and you all have shared.

I JUST WANT TO SAY THAT I ALSO RECEIVED A PHONE CALL FROM THE SAME COMPANY. AND I GAVE THEM MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER FOR THE 2.00 SHIPPING AND HANDLING AND THEY TOLD ME THAT I SHOULD RECEIVE MY GIFT CARD WITHIN 4 BUSSINESS DAY AND I HAVEN'T RECEIVED ANYTHING YET NEITHER HAS MY CREDIT CARD BEEN CHARGED ANYTHING YET. SO I'M JUST GOING TO WAIT AND SEE.

Yeah I got the call from Consumer Discount Network too.  The same # they gave me.  They asked me for all my info name address and that it was 3 out of each state were getting this "gift."  Well I wented up to the part where they asked me for the expiration date on my visa and i think okay...just the date so i gave it to them.  Then the indian dude asks for my credit card # just to verify it. Yeah right. He even told me that he would stay on hold while I called my bank to make sure they don't charge me.  He calls me at 8 pm.  Banks closed buddy.  I rejected their offer.  How do these people even get all our info? Name, address, home #?  We need more privacy.

every day for a wk we have been getting several calls from these Jims and Mikes with a heavy Indian accent "mam just listen" when asked to take us off the list he insisted that all I ahve to do is call and get my gift.  I took down the # and hopefully they will stop calling.

Got the same call, and from an indian guy named dannio, same line, 200$ walmart gift card for 1 dollar shipping fee, i said i didn't have my card on me. definatly a scam, i love how they all have such American names, john miller, nicole smith, dannio, bob, mark. Dealing with other customer service from india i could barely every understand their names. They still keep calling me too, i told them im not interested and quite frankly think they are full of sh*t. I feel bad for any old ladys that fall pray to these scam artist.

I got the call last night.  What they are doing is OBVIOUSLY illegal.  Why can't they be traced and prosecuted?  Can we report this phone number to the authorities?  How do you go about doing that?  What are the proper steps to take to report this to the FBI or FTC or whomever can enforce it.  BTW, Consumer Discount Network is a legitimate company completely unrelated to this SCAM.  That's why they tell you to go to the website.  It's not THEIR website.  It's a legitimate website that they are using as a front which is ALSO illegal.  How do we take these guys down and take them down HARD?@!?!?!?

i got the call and returned it and it they said that they need name and address and stuff, man named Mark Johnson with indian accent loud call center background noise.  they gave me a gift id code and they wanted it when i called them.  So I gave the wrong code on purpose.  He just went on with script and prompted for my information.  So I asked if my code verified and he said that it actually didnt but if i gave him my info he would still send the gift. LOL  what a joke.  what gives these people the right to call me???? they are not a non profit I would assume. so I know that they wouldnt have access to my number like that unless I accidentally leaked my number online or the telephone company gave it to them.

been getting calls from SGS recently, but didnt know who it was, figured it was solicitation call and didnt answer.  but tonight i was trying to make a call and when i turned on the phone, this indian guy was on the other end.  he wanted me to write down this number (877.306.9996) and to write down my "Gift ID #" and to call that number back.  So,out of curiousity, i did.  That person honestly sounded just like the first guy that called me, but i let that  one go.  HE went on to explain how the program works,but told me i would get  a $200 retail shopping card and assured me I would not have to sign up for anything, or buy anything, or join anything.  Finally i got tired of hearing the spill, so i asked him if in a few minutes he was going to ask me for my credit card number, and he said "excuse me??" so i repeated myself, then he said YES, that I would have to pay $2 for shipping and handling.  So i told him that as consumers, we are ALWAYS warned about anyone who calls our house and asks for card information....and that I would not give him my card number.  he finally said thank you and have a nice night and hung up.  LOL...Can we say SCAMMMMMMMM....NO way in heck they are giving out $200 dollars in Walmart cards (or "retail" shopping cards") for  a mere $2 and a subscription to someting that you can cancel anytime, and you can keep the $200 card.  IT just dont work like that.  That company would go broke too fast.  This company, in my opinion, is trying to get your card info, and thats all they want.

SG Deals, as noted on the caller ID calls on a daily basis. Often they call 2-3 times. I finally answered and didn't hang up to find that they said I won a 200.00 gift card from walmart or target. I didn't call the 8773069996 number because I am aware of scams. I hope that everyone who is encouraged to call reaches out to check for scams.

Called and got a hold of my teenage daughter said she had won a $200 gift card if she would only give her credit card number and pay $1. My daughter is smart and called dad I used it as a good learning experience and then reported it to the police. THIS IS A FRAUD !!!

DEFINITIELY A SCAM.  Man with poor english, sounded to be middle eastern, told me that I had qualified for a $200 gift card that could be used @ any Wal Mart.  There was a heavy amount of background noise, as if he was in a large area with any other people doing the same things.  I tried to ask questions to kepe him on the phone and get more information, but the man tried to repeat what he had already stated and say as little as possible.  All i got from the man is that the company name is Consumer Discount something.  I was unable to decipher the last word.

He gave a code:  D9045898
The call was from 978-570-2232

But I gave the number they gave me a call and when I was asking them questions they got nervous and hung up the phone on me.  And then I came upstairs and found this website.  I was wondering if I did anything wrong by giving them my name?  can any one let me know

I am continuing to receive phone calls from SGS they are trying to connect with a certain party in my home. After having kept them on the phone for about 20 minutes I finally played their game and wrote down the information, they wanted me to... call 1-877-306-9996 and give them this confirmation #D245523547. This guy from Phoenix Arizona was not aloud to give me his information to call him back in case I had a problem getting through to them. I ask to speak to his brother next to him because he sounded just like him (same accent an all).....you know they were so persistent with me calling this number and would not be rude in any way shape or form and would not hang up on me, I eventually told him I had to go, and told him I would sure try and again he said please call ok, you must..and he kept going on and on..and on..and I eventually just hung up I was having too much fun and felt sorry for the poor guy...LOL

2x this month this Thick Indian accent voice asked me to call this # 1st time I just hung up but today I felt like clowning him I told him if ur in America u would know that nothing's 4 free here,he tried getting excited 4 me like I really won so I began to make fun myself telling him woohoo I won 200.00 I'm calling right now oh yes right now,ppl I know a scam when I hear one,Beware this is totally a scam.

received a call from SG Sales 626-207-9183 Asian woman heavy accent saying that I won a $200 gift card from Walmart gave a code number and a phone #877-306-9996 to call to receive it.  I asked if I had to purchase anything and she told me no.  I asked the name of the company and she told me it was a consumer discount company.  I didnt call.

I got the same call they said If I call back the number and give them a sequence of numbers they gave to me I would get a $200.00 gift card.  I told them to give it to me now while they were on the phone with me and they said I had to call back.  I assume If you call that number your phone will be charged an astronomical amt to your bill. Don't call, It's a scam.

I called the the number 1-877-306-9996; they knew my name and addresss weird. then they sd i won $200 for using visa; then sd sd we need to verify the card is valid. ask me the expiraion date i just gv her one, then sd to please read the card number i was like HA and hung up. they had a very strong accent and lots of background noise.

Just received the same call telling me to call 877-306-9996 and give them my id number and i will be getting a 200 walmart or target gift card. It was a lady with a very thick accent and it was also alot of noise in the background. She call my work number and it came up as SG Sales.

These phone calls are'nt nothing but scams, don't call the number, they wont answer you should be very protective about who calls your house!!!!
