After reading a lot of the comments, I decided to post about my experience with Insight Financial.

I got a call today from someone at Insight Financial. I naturally let numbers I don't recognize go to voicemail. A woman named Sandy left a message asking for someone that isn't me. So I took to Google and looked them up, ending up here.

I finally broke down and decided to call them back to let them know they had called me in error. Sandy was polite and assured me my number would be removed from their list. Now if I get another phone call from Insight and the operator tries to solicit information, you can be sure I will be reporting to FTC.

I do know we have over 100 lines coming into our facility. I also inquired with our service provider and was advised that outgoing calls are routed to the next available line that was not presently in use. So to respond to your inquiry, we are not attempting to make it difficult for you to block our call. I will forward your statement regarding " hunt groups" to our telecommunications vendor. If however you receive any other unwanted calls, please contact me directly an I will ensure your number is permanently removed. Thanks.

If we " did not even get your name right" its because we had the wrong number of the person we were attempting to contact. No one here is attempting to scam you or obtain your social security number; its just a wrong number. I do however apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you, feel free to contact me directly if we should happen to call you in error in the future.

Let me first clarify that our contract clearly states that the quote provided is a bid based on our estimate of the complexity, and time involved to accomplish the goals as disclosed by the client; in this case, a long term repayment plan. This individuals signature is on the retainer agreement. I will gladly forward him a copy to refresh his memory.
When you owe the IRS back taxes, they use a financial statement to determine the amount of money you can afford to pay them monthly. YOU provided your income data and your expenses, and they offered you a monthly payment plan that was equivalent to less than 10% of your monthly income, not to mention the fact that you defaulted on a previous installment agreement with the IRS. There is a major difference between someone  who legitimately cant afford to pay their tax obligations, and someone who simply doesn't want to pay there taxes.
Simply stated, a repayment plan was reached as agreed; you requested we continue to attempt to negotiate and we did. The IRS rejected your offer, because you owe them a ton of money and can afford to pay more. I have a copy of that letter from the IRS if you would like a copy for your records.
As far as receiving no value for service, the IRS was threatening to levy your bank, retirement, investment and 401k accounts as well as garnish your salary and seize your second home. Neither happened thanks to our efforts. I am pretty sure it would have caused a great deal of embarrassment for an executive in a high management position like yourself to have a wage garnishment sent to your HR department.
As far as a former employee contacting you and discussing your case, I do apologize for that , however I am sure you understand I cant control what people do after their termination. A report has been filed with the local authorities; feel free to contact me for more information.

If you're not a scam why do you call from a different phone number each time making it difficult to just block you?  Outgoing numbers don't need hunt groups.

Company Called regarding a tax issue.  Company misrepresneted their pricing policy and achieved no results. Once involved had little choice but to pay additional fees. Company contacted me over a tax debt and offered to negotiate with the IRS on my behalf. They quoted me a fee of $2500.00 which I agreed to. I sent them my documentation and they started the process. After about a month they came back to me and stated that they were close to a settlement but that our "Retainer" ran out and that in order to complete the process they would need an additional $2500.00. Speciffically, they used high pressure and bullying tactics to get me to agree to pay. If I chose not to pay then they would stop working on my behalf but they assured me they were close to a settlement so I agreed to pay. After I agreed to pay, they came back and said that the IRS had made a mistake with the settlement agreement they were close to and that they would agree to a settlemetn agreement four times what was discussed. This was way more then we could afford to pay. Ultimately, our settlement agreement was rejected by the IRS. We recieved nothing of value from Insight Financial Solutions. I have now spoken directly with the IRS and we are on the way to resolving our tax issue. Additionally, I was contacted by a former Insight Financial Solutions employee. Using information that I provided to Insight she contacted me, warned me about the business practices of Insight Financial Solutions and then tried to sell me her services to negotiate with the IRS. Insight Financial DID not protect me personnel private and confidential financial information. This is a huge issue!

The call came in with the identifier 321-914-4258, and a message was left for a person I have never heard of to call about his taxes. I have had my number for 8 years. They wanted the person to call 877-308-1412 x222. Blocked and reported through DNC list. This is just a phishing scam.

Scammers.  Trying to get your social....saying there is a tax lien on a property that is not yours.   They don't even have my name right.

Do not call them back or give any info.  So many complaints against them.

Complain if they keep calling as harassment to the FTC and keep filing complaints and block their number.

I would agree with your statement in regard to choosing financial guidance based strictly on a phone call. However, the purpose of our call is to introduce our organization and identify whether or not we can be of assistance; not to have you make a decision that instant.
In today's marketplace there are many tools available to determine an organizations track record and credentials. For example, at the conclusion of our calls our consultants endeavor to direct qualified clients to our Better Business Bureau report as well as our company website. Both of these secondary measures provide further peace of mind in that:
1) Our company maintains an A rating with the BBB.
2) Our attorneys photos and bio's are listed on the OUR TEAM section of our site.
Lastly, one of the biggest motivators for me in making a decision to do business with someone new is word of mouth. To reference your analogy, that's how I found my family physician; I spoke to some of the references he provided to hear their experience. If you are drawing a conclusions of a companies abilities based on information from a website of posts from individuals who never hired the company, you are certain to be mislead. I am sure you would agree a better practice is to contact individuals who have actually engaged the company. Please feel free to contact me for a list of local references if you are still entertaining professional assistance.

I have read your remarks below and unfortunately you have not included any identifying information as to who you are, when you hired us, how much you owed, etc. In addition, I have never heard from you personally at any time, so I find it extremely difficult to believe that given the nature of the concerns you have outlined , that you have never contacted me directly to voice your issues.
I have always prided myself on diligently addressing any concerns of our clients directly and immediately.
With that said, if you did truly hire our company , please feel free to contact we now so we can have an opportunity to remedy your concerns. I can assure you I will clear my calendar to accommodate your call. I can be reached at (772) 589-8927 ext. 202. I will gladly post the results of our conversation on this site immediately upon the calls conclusion.

We received a phone call from Insight Financial saying that they could help up with our taxes for $3K so we bought their sales pitch.  To our stupidity we ended up spending over $5K and they STILL wanted more money with no resolved issues with the IRS.  They drag it out to suck more money out of you.  And, their collector guy actually got on a conference call with us and started YELLING that we owed more money and they weren't going to do anything further until they got paid and then he hung up on us!  They didn't do anything up to that point anyways other than schedule a "meeting" which turned out was going to be a conference call.  My husband and I finally took care of the matter ourselves with the IRS and when the IRS asked if we wanted to cancel the meeting that Financial Services had set up, I asked what it was going to be about and they said quote "oh, it's basically a POSTPONEMENT!!".  Yup, that's right Insight Financial was going to POSTPONE the whole thing that we took care of with the IRS in minutes so they could drag feet and charge more $$.  STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE SCAMMERS!!  And, after all of this we receive another phone call today from them trying to sell their services AGAIN to us.  They scammed us once and were trying to do it again, that is how STUPID this company is!!

Im with you, exact same experience here. And with numerous others I've been able to speak with. We got ZERO out of our transaction, I suppose consider yourself lucky you got SOMETHING. This company fails to communicate their billing structure, drags their feet until their client is fit to be tied and completely broke having been bled for all they have with nothing going to their debts, then magically everything is done and finished but absolute crap quality, they are certainly only vested in their clients wallets, not their clients.

We quoted you $2950 to file the missing returns you told us you had. When we pulled your transcripts, you were missing twice the amount of returns you indicated. In total, we prepared and filed over 15 missing returns on your behalf. A good suggestion would be to prepare and file your returns on time in the future, then you will discover our fees were a bargain. Since you have not filed one in seven years personally or for your business, it is easy to identify why you do not understand what return preparation and filing costs. You have made this same ridiculous complaint to the BBB and they recently closed the file stating we made a good faith effort to resolve your complaint.

I hired Insight to represent me.  They quoted me $3K for filing of returns and working out plans.  I paid them over $6K and only got returns filed.  They DRAG things out so they can continue to keep billing you.  You never deal with the same person becuase of the turnover there.  They only filed returns for me.  I got garnished and they were no help in that regard.  AVOID THEM!!!

Called this 'helpful' company back about some "taxes" I supposedly owed. The girl who answered the phone acted like she just hated her job. Spoke very low and mumbled almost everything. THEN when I asked the girl about the company, she had absolutely no clue. I mean really!!! How do you not know about the company you are working for?!!?!!?!? Then I finally got someone asking me for information about tax information...  I ended up getting a "supervisor" as well and he was just as rude as hell!!! This is how you do business with people?!?!? Its a wonder you guys are still in business! You treat people like dirt and lie to them but still say you want to help them. Oh please!!! These people are so full of it!!!

Was called at office yesterday from the same number as other posters. Caller identified self to secretary as "Brad" @ ext # 218, re:"Taxes". When I called back, the people answering always mumbled the company name. I got "Brad", who put me on hold when I said I would have to look up his company.
A " supervisor" picked up, identifying himself as only "Ryan" or "Bryan". He asked, "oh, did one of our paralegals call you?" (Humbug!) when I asked about the company, he replied, "Oh, we're a bunch of attorneys that try to help represent people having tax problems"!!!! Brad was supposedly a paralegal. They were calling about " a C-24 state tax lien, which I don't have. SCAMMERS!!!! Watch out!!

All companies like this get is a name, address, phone number, what county a tax lien was filed in, and the amount.  That information is public record so it doesn't matter if you are on the "Do Not Call" list.  If you want to blame anyone for receiving calls, blame the person who used your name, phone number or address to file a tax return.

People quit and get fired every day so just because a name changes but the extension does not doesn't mean somethings is a scam.  They can't give out too much information on a message or without verifying the person they are speaking with is the correct person on their leads.  It doesn't mean they're a scam just because they can't say too much in a message.  It is definitely illegal to make something think you're with the IRS if you're not, but it was probably a misunderstanding.

I would suggest finding out for sure if you have a tax lien filed against you if you receive a call or mail from companies like Insight Financial Solutions and check into the company before trashing a company on a public website.

I got the same call, except my girl was "Shauna" and she has McCartney's extension 225.  I guess the name "McCartney" was making internet searches too accurate.  If only 10 people were smart enough to find this website, there are 10,000 more behind them, in my experience.  And that's conservative.

I would NEVER trust a company that solicits business in this way.  But I will make sure others know that this company makes a habit of unsolicited calls, and their sales practices -- based on the message they leave -- are beyond shady/sleazy.  So I'll be filing a complaint with the SE Florida BBB about it and would urge others to do the same whenever they receive such a call.  Only takes 2 minutes and it's the fastest way to get a company to either change its practices or change its letterhead, name, address and phone number.  And at that point, they won't have the "A" rating anymore, assuming the SE Florida BBB isn't a scam-protecting con job.  Don't trust the Florida BBB alone -- their practices do little to deter aggressive Florida-based scammers.  If the company seems shady, just assume that IT IS.

My mother just received a call for me from a 'Charles' at 877.308.1412 x229 from a company called Insight Financial.  He wouldn't give her any any information other than say it was a tax matter.  Of course she called me worried that I was in some sort of financial trouble.  Now, mind you, I haven't lived with my mother for 25 years.  I immediately called the number and spoke to Charles.  He said he needed my name and the phone number he had called again so that he could clear up a tax lien that had recently been placed.  I gave Charles my name, but he said he couldn't look up the information without the name and phone number.  What kind of a scam are you running?  This is the most ridiculous thing I've heard in a long time.  I've alerted the BBB regarding this practice.
