A recorded message from Afni Inc

Calls 2-3 times a day, with no message. I figure must be a scam. Anyway to stop this call from coming through?

They call me every few hours and its every single day including Sunday.

It is Frontier or some contract solicitor of theirs

Just talked at length with Frontier Communications who admitted to being the party sending out promotional phone calls which (1) do not identify the caller and (2) do not leave a message regarding the nature of the phone call.
I suggested to Frontier they may want to rethink their strategy in coupling themselves with the scam phone numbers who operate in the exact same way. They will remove a customer's name which will take 6 weeks. Be aware that we Frontier customers cannot register them with the federatl "Do Not Call) since we do business with them. However, I told Frontier that I have a choice and can drop Frontier totally and use only my call phone if such practices continue. The phone calls are originating from Frontier and not from any outsourced facility. More complaints to Frontier perhaps would stop this questionable practice.

Check your phone bills from Frontier Communications. I received charges for 45 calls from two different phone numbers.  When I called the numbers to identify who called me it says the numbers are disconnected.  Frontier is refusing to credit my account for these bogus phone calls.  Frontier says it is out bound call centers using my 800 number to reach me with telemarketing crap.  I guarantee you if I received 45 calls in a week from these two phone numbers I would know about it.  I'm a small business, with only 3 employees.  I answer all the incoming phone calls.  When I told Frontier it's harassment, they gave me a disconnected nuisance phone number to report it to, but you have to file a police report first.  I finally found the right nuisance number, but they do not take complaints regarding telemarketers.  Then again, why should they, they just made $30.00 buck off me this month in this scam.  I don't see how they can get away with it.  If anyone finds out how to deal with unauthorized charges to your 800 number business phone line, let me know. Honestly I don't know if we was a telemarketer or not, I just know I got charged for calls I didn't authorized.  The way they are getting around it is by saying that they can't stop or block numbers to an 800 phone line.  Comcast can do it, why can't Frontier.  The truth is, there is no incentive to fix it because they are making money off these scams.

i get the same calls. this time i answered it and there was nobody there. well they won't be calling back since I just had all 800 and 877 and anon callers blocked.

Calls one or two times every day or night.. Does not speak or leave a message. From FRONTIER COMM. Very annoying.

We are on the ON CALL LIST and would like them to stop, they call 3 or 4 times a day and a couple times at night.

they have taken over my caller id.. seem to call all the time. Never has Frontier called me about bundling anything so hard to believe that would be it. I won't answer any call that doesn't show who is calling.

I am on DO NOT CALL  list but still get calls from Frontier, they said they were not aware I was on the list.  Called again yesterday and again today..............

they called me at 8:25am pst, Sat 6/18/11., and again today 6/21/11 at 11:35 am.

called me yesterday, just called and hung up...caller id said it was a toll free number though.  who is this???

called yesterday, caller id said it was a toll free number, turns out it is a canadian area code.  don't know anyone in canada.  have a hunch its ascam going on!!

Called today.  Showed as toll free call.  Odd.  Said they had special offers with Frontier.  They have somehow identified a Frontier customer pool.  They didn't know my name, just if I was the decision maker in the household.  SCAM!

Ive been getting calls from this number recently. I've never answered but from reading I  know its supposedly Frontier. I use Frontier and if I ever need to upgrade my services I can do so when I walk in and pay my bill. Also they never leave a message and the ID says TOLL FREE CALL!! Not sure if its a scam but if it is I never give my info over the phone like that.

Caller left no message.  Only telephone number showed up on caller id.

Call every day, sometimes 2 or 3 times. Never leave a msg, caller ID say toll free call. When are these folks going to learn 'toll free call' will NEVER get answered!!!

Called and said he was going to offer us discounts on our Frontier phone and internet services.  I had to to leave and pick up my husband I told him.  Now I am glad I did not talk to him and checked this number out.  Don't Believe Him--I think its a scam!

Called and offered discounts on bundling Dish with Frontier phone and internet -- calling Frontier back, they denied knowing anything about them.
ID'd as "Frontier Promotions Department"

Just called me trying to tell me how I can get more discounts on my phone bill with Frontier phone company.  I told them that I was going to hang up now.  Caller ID only said TOLL FREE CALL.
