Called me at work.

Hey I got a call from some dude who told me to call this number. The dudes number never showed up on my cell, makes me think he is a third pary collection agent or something!

I got a call from someone claiming that I have 24-48 hours to call them back or they are going to assign "My Case" to legal to have me served with an "active subpena" regarding a fraudelent check issue to a financial institute, but didn't say who.  What should I do about this?

I got the same call about making arrangements to meet, and they called my job also with a case number.  They never state the company's name in any call.  Just a person's name.  As I understand Collections laws since I know a collector very well.  It's illegal for them to not identify the company they work for.  Also, if they don't indentify both themselves and the company, then you don't have to speak to them.

Got a call from something Johnson saying he was trying to serve me legal papers and I should call him to make arrangements to meet somewhere so he could deliver them and to call this number. In the mean time he'll just keep trying to reach me at home or at work. This doesn't sound right. If he has my number he probably has my address so why not just show up at my door?

Just another debt collector. Called in reference to a check that I apparently bounced 2+ years ago; saying they were a processing company and that they were trying to serve me for like $586 but would settle for $400 yesterday. I settled with them yesterday mostly because they never called me but called a couple of my relatives instead and I don't want themn to be bothered for something I don't even remember doing

Got a call stating that i was a person of interest.
Person was a processor or investigator
Company name given was United Litigations
