Direct TV has been calling my phone... I get four rings, then nothing) I have called them four times asking Direct TV to remove my phone number from their system!  I have never had an account with Direct TV!

They call to remind you to pay them. Twice a day. They will call even if you filed a complaint. They stopped for two years and there back. I just add it to the numbers that go straight to voice mail

Just call the number back and you can be removed in 5 minutes. That is unless you do owe Direct TV $$$

Having worked in home care I helped an elderly client who kept receiving calls like this. I used my phone & was able to track the calls to a debt collection company used by Comcast. The elderly lady did in fact have a Comcast account but was not in arrears. When I contacted Customer Service on my client's behalf we figured out a previous Comcast customer once owned the telephone number of my client. Customer Service changed the unpaid account holder's telephone number to all 0's and I helped my client block the Collection's number so they could no longer call her repeatedly thru the day. This poor woman would never have been able to stop the calls and as an advocate for my client I needed to step in and help her. ****When I contacted Comcast re: this issue they were reluctant at first to admit they knew anything about those classic harassing calls or that they too use those same collection companies that buy old debts and then blow up your phone all day.

This is direct tv. They called to get me to sign up for premium channels.

It is Direct TV~ They call me every day. And I have direct tv too~ But they continue to solicits there service~ PAIN IN THE NECKS

Im 10 and why are they calling me i Dont even have Cabel or a house but it is direct tv if you  dont want them to call you i suggest Googling   trapcall.com then you can unmask blocked calls and make it to where they cat call you

Responding to Joyce, even if you have a "private" number, if you have given that number to directv they can call it.  If you don't want them to call you on that number you need to tell them to stop calling.  They must honor that request per FDCPA.  As for the 877-313-3723, it is a call center contracted with Directv to call customers that have a past due amount and are about to be disconnected.  Directv calls from several different numbers.

They sure do use this 877 number.  Maybe you just aren't aware of their protocol.

Yep, Direct TV looking for a late bill. Got 4 calls this morning from them. Just called back and talked to a gal and she took my number off their list. Apparantly i have a "recycled" cell number. She was nice enough, and the calls have stopped. Hell, i dont even have a DTV account..

The spoofing sounds about right. it didn't start until I set my settings where my  navigator app could help with directions. I keep it off unless I'm using the app. That's pretty scary!  It did start about 30 mins after I turned my GPS on though. Now it's off. How crazy!

So 877-313-3723 is Direct TV? They've called me all day and I don't have Direct TV. They can be very harassing. Every 2 hours!

     The callers are "spoofing" their true number as DirectTV to appear on your caller ID as coming from them. I was working with my Google Maps app when the call came in, my location immediately changed to a parking lot across the street.
     The software calls your phone and when you answer it, depending upon your security settings, they may be able to get your exact location and extract certain info from your phone such as passwords, contacts, financial info, etc.Block this number so that it cannot call or connect to your smartphone.

Call the number back it is direct tv. They are reminding you that you have a past due balanceand due for disconnect.

It is definitely direct TV. I dialed it and got direct tv.

I paid my bill, was not even yet due for the next month, and started getting daily phone calls on both the house and the cell phone - between the two at about 8 per day.  Won't be continuing my contract with DirecTV when I move at the end of summer.

Its DirectTV alright....Called my home 16 times in 3.5 hours starting at 8 AM. Cripes, I get email, text, and phone calls and the shut off date isn't for another two weeks. Called them and had them remove me from their call list.

4 times a week?! i wish i only had a call from them 4 times a week...it is more like 4 times a day! it is DirecTv, but the catch is that I DONT HAVE DIRECTV! NEVER HAVE! and now I NEVER WILL! i have asked them repeatedly to remove my number and they always say they do and i wait on hold and spend my time talking to a rep and they assure me i will not be called again. this usually last about a week or 2 then they start calling me day and night again. i programmed them into my phone as "Annoying f****ards that just call to waste my minutes" so at least now i giggle a bit when they call me instead of wanting to throw my phone against a wall.

Keep getting calls from toll free number, starting to get annoying. Wish it would stop.

That is not true!! We have direct and they call me repeatedly at times when tbey are running special promotions. It gets annoying!
